Chapter 2475: Chapter 2451: Simple and Efficient

The ammunition is being consumed very quickly because villagers living far away started to gather in large numbers, carrying weapons.

In Yemen, or in any Middle Eastern country, there’s a peculiar phenomenon: the government forces can’t beat the anti-government forces, who in turn can’t beat the tribal armed forces; and the tribal armed forces are simply civilians picking up weapons.

So never underestimate the combat effectiveness of villagers with no formal training. Fighting at their doorstep, these armed villagers are the most formidable, at least much stronger than the Yemeni government forces, and certainly not inferior to the Houthis Armed Forces.

The problem Satan faces is spending the same energy dealing with villagers as with soldiers from the Crown Forces. If one doesn’t want to be overwhelmed by enemy fire, one has to suppress them vigorously, leading to a dramatic increase in bullet consumption.

But once Tarta finally got familiar with controlling the Apache and flew back, the situation changed drastically.

"Sorry to keep you waiting. I had to find my groove. Now I’m back!"

With Tarta’s arrogant shout, the Apache helicopter began pouring fire onto the ground, starting with the machine gunfire—cheap and plentiful—first targeting the densest crowd.

Whether it was Tarta as the pilot or Hammer as the weapons operator, the word "friendly fire" was absolutely not in their vocabulary.

Moreover, the entire Ohalaham Village had sided with Saudi Arabia, so distinguishing between villagers and the Crown Forces wasn’t possible and wasn’t necessary.

The helicopter skimmed low and slow, launching rockets in succession, turning the enemy-occupied buildings to ruins; occasionally mixed with air-to-ground missiles, resolving the predicament of the assault group in just a minute.

Soon, Eileen’s helicopter arrived at the most intense battle zone.

"Tyrannosaurus, this is Tarta. We’ve expended our heavy munitions, only leaving some shells for emergencies. Now it’s your turn; clear the ground again, over."

"Tyrannosaurus understands, over."

After hearing Tarta and Eileen’s conversation, Gao Yang spoke into the intercom: "Tarta, raise your altitude and patrol around the village to prevent any enemy escape. Tyrannosaurus, conserve ammunition and accompany the assault group. We’re starting to clear out remaining enemies and need to find the enemy commander, over."

"Tyrannosaurus understands, over."

The assault group only had five members left, and Group One and Group Two hadn’t arrived yet. But waiting wasn’t necessary. With the helicopter providing air support and Gao Yang’s team being formidable enough, they could complete the upcoming room-clearing action.

Gao Yang didn’t switch guns. He made a few hand signals, bringing Li Jinfang and Peter close, while Rafael and Vasily positioned slightly further back. Gao Yang, holding the sniper rifle, stayed at the rear, forming an assault team quickly.

Gao Yang looked at the buildings that had just been hit by helicopter fire, pointed to one, and whispered, "There must be Crown Forces inside, find a survivor and get the enemy commander’s location, go!"

Li Jinfang and Peter ran ahead, Vasily and Rafael followed, and Gao Yang stayed behind. The five moved quickly forward, spaced about ten meters apart.

The helicopter’s thermal imaging device was so powerful that Gao Yang wasn’t worried about attacks from behind. Eileen would warn them in advance, and it wouldn’t be uncommon if she directly neutralized threats for them.

Li Jinfang flipped over the collapsed wall into the courtyard, where besides four or five corpses, there were two enemies struggling and wailing.

Peter quickly approached an injured but alive enemy, aimed the gun at him, and shouted sternly: "Where’s your commander? Speak quickly!"

The wounded enemy looked at Peter and furiously cursed quickly. Not wanting to waste time, Peter shot the man’s head, then aimed at the second wounded enemy, and yelled: "Where’s your commander? If you don’t tell, I’ll kill you; if you do, I’ll spare you. Three! Two! One!"

Bam, another shot. Peter quickly turned to the four guarding the half-collapsed house with guns: "No use; too seriously injured to talk, find someone not injured!"

Severely injured people feel they’re dying, so it’s not surprising they can act bravely—life’s ending soon, dying faster means less suffering.

Gao Yang made a hand signal, and after the countdown, Vasily rushed into the half-collapsed house first, followed by Li Jinfang and Peter, and gunfire soon sounded inside. Quickly, Vasily dragged out a middle-aged man.

Vasily dragged out a villager, not a Crown Forces soldier, threw him to the ground angrily, and exclaimed, "He dared to shoot at me!"

After a hefty kick at the villager, Vasily angrily said, "Speak! Where’s the commander? If you don’t tell, I’ll kill you! My patience is limited, give you five seconds, you’d better hurry."

The villager yelled loudly, but clearly didn’t say where. Vasily fired a shot at the man’s leg without hesitation.

"Where! Inside there! I saw there were more than ten people living inside, I’m telling the truth!"

The villager, hit by the shot, immediately changed his tune and shouted loudly. Li Jinfang looked at Gao Yang, but Gao Yang just shook his head slightly.

Vasily raised his hand and shot the villager dead, angrily saying, "He’s lying."

Gao Yang said solemnly, "Earlier in that house, there were more than ten soldiers planning to rush out; absolutely no officer would stay with regular soldiers under such circumstances. Looks like we need to ask someone else."

Vasily stood up straight, looked around, pointed at a relatively intact building, and said, "That place looks better, there should be survivors inside; I don’t believe everyone’s so resolute, let’s go!"

It was easy to rush in again, as usual. After taking down two more, Rafael found a Crown Forces soldier with a night vision device, unable to resist because of his injured right arm.

"Where’s your commander? You have a chance to survive; don’t waste it. If you don’t talk, I’ll kill you; if you do, I’ll capture you. Choose."

Vasily said fiercely, and the Crown Forces soldier instinctively looked in one direction. Vasily immediately pointed there, saying, "There, let’s move quickly."

The soldier looked aghast, then dejected as Vasily stepped back, shot the soldier in the head, and coldly said: "I hate spineless traitors the most, so I tricked you."

Gao Yang cleared his throat, then said softly, "Quickly replenish ammo, let’s go drag out the Prince Your Highness."
