Chapter 2470: Chapter 2473: Sword Intent Rampage
As Jiang Chen and the others advanced deeper into the valley, the necro spirits at the mouth of the valley rushed towards the interior.
"They actually survived!"
"Did they really survive? Judging by the commotion among the spirits, they must be heading inside to fight!"
"What should we do? Do we keep waiting or go inside?"
The people at the valley entrance exclaimed in disbelief, their eyes filled with astonishment.
"Damn it!"
Pang Tong’s eyes revealed a vicious glint as he looked at the numerous necro spirits heading into the valley, hesitance flickering in his gaze.
"Come on, what are you waiting for? Charge in, or there will be nothing left!"
A member of the adventure group shouted loudly, his figure flashing as he rushed directly into the valley.
Pang Tong’s expression changed, and he shouted, "Charge!"
"Charge!"
"Charge in!"
Lin Jiang and Wang Han both shouted, and everyone from the three camps charged into the valley. Seeing this, everyone else also stopped hesitating and rushed in.
"Brother Chen, what do we do?"
The young man in green asked softly.
Chen Rui’s eyes flickered with coldness, and he whispered, "Go!"
Whoosh!
Chen Rui’s figure flashed, and he too charged into the valley.
Everyone from Yuanling Sect followed him in, and Liu Yunxia and the others, seeing this, also joined the rush.
"Damn it! Get out of the way!"
"Move!"
"That Necro Sphere is mine!"
"I’ll kill you!"
Hundreds of people surged into the mere hundred-meter wide valley, and chaotic shouts rang out as the Great Dao Divine Light appeared, leading everyone to start brawling.
...
In the central part of the valley, within a Four Symbols Seal Demon Array.
"They’ve entered!"
Noticing the subtle disturbances coming from the valley entrance, Yan Li spoke softly.
Jiang Chen glanced at the valley entrance; along the way, they had cleared out all necro spirits, leaving none behind. If the people at the entrance cleared the spirits within a five-hundred-meter range, they would surely reach where they were.
"Everyone, wait a moment."
Jiang Chen advised lightly, then his figure flashed out of the array, but this time, he leapt towards the valley entrance.
Swish, swish, swish!
Jiang Chen floated in mid-air, throwing out hundreds of spirit stones, pinching a hand seal as he whispered, "Rise!"
Whoosh!
A dense fog suddenly rose up within a hundred meters in front of Jiang Chen.
"A Maze Formation?!"
Yun Hai’s eyes lit up, revealing a touch of joy.
Jiang Chen had laid down a simplified version of the maze formation in front of Changlin Academy’s gate.
Swish!
Jiang Chen’s figure flashed back into the Four Symbols Seal Demon Array.
"This maze formation ought to hold them off for a while; let’s quickly advance further before setting up another maze formation."
Jiang Chen spoke softly.
"Okay."
Yun Hai and the others nodded.
They resumed setting formations, hunting, and collecting Necro Spheres.
Along the way, Jiang Chen laid down a maze formation every so often, until they reached another exit of the valley, with no one catching up from behind.
Whoosh!
After setting up another maze formation, Jiang Chen leapt beside Yun Hai and the others, turning his gaze forward.
The four of them were now within a mile of another exit, with no necro spirits within this mile, only endless destructive energy.
At the valley entrance a mile away, an invisible Sword Intent ravaged the area, making the space disorienting. The sword intent was so daunting it couldn’t stabilize the space.
Standing a mile away, Jiang Chen and the others could still sense the terrifying destructive energy, as if taking another step forward would lead them to be consumed by the sword intent.
The Sword Intent left behind from an ancient battle still held such power, making it hard to imagine the might of the great figure who struck it back then!
Buzz!
Suddenly, a wave of excitement rippled through his Sea of Consciousness, and the Saint Dragon Sword began to tremble lightly.
Jiang Chen was slightly stunned, his eyes showing a hint of surprise.
Is it... wanting me to move forward?
Feeling the faint tugging force from within the Saint Dragon Sword, Jiang Chen murmured inwardly, a hint of hesitation in his eyes.
"Brother Jiang, here is where I found a gathering point."
Yun Hai pointed to a nearby mountain wall and spoke softly.
Jiang Chen was slightly stunned, surprised, "Here?"
Yun Hai smiled lightly, his hand brushing over his space ring, making an ancient-feeling jade token appear in his hand.
"Inside this mountain wall is a small space, holding a few dozen miles of area filled entirely with necro spirits. The spirits within are stronger than those in the valley; when I first discovered it, I was terrified. Thankfully I reacted quickly and fled, or I’d have died inside."
Yun Hai chuckled as he explained, reminding Jiang Chen, "Brother Jiang, be ready; once inside, activate the formation!"
As he finished speaking, Yun Hai moved to throw the jade token towards the mountain wall.
"Wait."
Jiang Chen called softly, stopping Yun Hai.
"What’s wrong?"
Yun Hai looked at Jiang Chen in confusion, as Yan Hu and Yan Li also glanced over.
"I want to check that area out."
Jiang Chen raised his hand, pointing at the valley entrance.
Yan Li’s face changed drastically, quickly saying, "Brother Jiang, the Sword Intent cannot be comprehended; don’t get close to it. If you enter a mile’s range, your life force will be eroded, and if you leave too late, you’ll die under that Sword Intent."
"Indeed!"
Yun Hai urged urgently, "A Semi-Saint once tried to seize this Sword Intent here, and died before it. Don’t act rashly!"
"That’s right, Mr Jiang, this Sword Intent cannot be comprehended. Even as the Son of Heavenly Dao, you’d find it impossible. Don’t take the risk."
Yan Li nodded seriously, continuing to warn, "Once the Sword Intent erodes your life force, escaping its range still leaves lingering Sword Intent within, and even a Saint can’t remove it. Only death awaits."
Jiang Chen’s expression grew tense, showing hesitance in his gaze as he looked gravely at the valley entrance.
Seeing Jiang Chen unwilling to give up, Yun Hai and the others turned to Yan Hu, hoping he’d persuade him.
Yan Hu hesitated but didn’t speak up, believing Jiang Chen wouldn’t take risks needlessly. If he intended to go, he must have his reasons.
Whoosh!
With a deep breath, Jiang Chen made up his mind and turned to Yun Hai and the others: "Don’t worry, Yan Li and Brother Yun, I have some means to safely test it!"
"This..."
Yan Li and the others were taken aback, frowning slightly, wanting to dissuade but uncertain of how, since Jiang Chen had spoken so decisively, leaving them without words.
