Chapter 98: Alone [13]
Asher then looked at them and muttered, "15 seconds, more than enough."
Then the surrounding space started acting weird, and before Leon could even understand what was happening, Asher vanished and reappeared in front of Roselia. He immediately launched a punch aimed at her beautiful face.
The teleportation was far too fast this time for her to react properly, but Roselia still tried to block it with vines. However, she was too late and would not be able to stop the attack.
Leon and Celestine frowned at this, and Leon immediately moved toward Roselia.
Asher’s hand was just about to reach Roselia’s face when suddenly a rift in space opened, and his hand went straight into it.
All three of them became confused, not understanding what he was trying to do now.
But before they could think much about it, another rift opened in front of Leon’s face while he was moving toward Roselia. Before he could react, a hand emerged from the rift, aimed directly at Leon’s left eye, and gouged it out perfectly.
Leon could not stop the hand from taking his eye, but he still managed to cut it off before it could retreat back through the rift.
The severed hand, still holding Leon’s eye, fell to the ground and then disappeared.
Asher also vanished from in front of Roselia.
He then reappeared some distance away while holding his severed hand in his intact one. In an instant, he reattached the severed hand and then crushed Leon’s eyeball, which was still in its grasp.
Then he said, "An eye for an eye."
But then he vanished again and reappeared behind Celestine, who was atop a massive vine. This time he was even faster than before, and before Celestine could react, it was already over.
She suddenly found herself falling to the ground because all four of her limbs had already been severed from her body.
While falling, she could only mutter in disbelief,
"What happened? When? How?"
Leon was still trying to adjust to the absence of one of his eyes and the pain of having it gouged out. Then he noticed Celestine falling and saw Asher already standing in front of Roselia, repeatedly punching her beautiful face without stopping for even a moment.
Roselia could do nothing to stop him.
Leon muttered,
"What happened? It hasn’t even been ten seconds since he said he would try to kill me for real, and we are already defeated?"
Then he looked again at Asher, who was still relentlessly punching Roselia’s face. Suddenly, Asher stopped for a moment and looked at Leon.
He then manifested a small sphere in his palm, and it vanished, only to reappear directly in front of Leon without any delay.
The sphere was only the size of a lemon.
But then it disappeared again.
This time, however, it was not because of Asher, but someone else.
Leon looked at Asher, who now wore a disappointed expression. Then he turned around and saw a figure holding Asher’s hand, which was about to strike Roselia’s face once again.
Asher looked at the figure and said,
"You got here faster than I expected, old man."
It was Walter Astrean who was holding Asher’s hand. He was also the one who had teleported the sphere away from Leon at the last second.
Walter looked at Asher and said in a serious tone,
"It’s enough now, so stop, you crazy kid."
Then he looked toward the place where he had teleported the sphere.
Leon also followed Walter’s gaze and found that the sphere had struck a tree. Now the surrounding space was being sucked toward its center. Trees were pulled in by the tremendous force, breaking apart and tearing themselves to pieces as they were dragged toward the sphere.
Finally, the sphere dissipated, and the spatial distortion vanished along with it.
The area where the sphere had landed was already in ruins.
Leon looked at the place where the sphere had landed.
The whole area was already in ruins.
Trees were gone and the ground itself looked like it had been torn apart.
Cold sweat appeared on Leon’s forehead.
Then he imagined for a moment what would have happened if Walter had arrived even a second later.
His expression immediately turned ugly.
He was not confident that he would have survived that attack.
No, after seeing the destruction caused by it, he was sure that he would have died.
Then Leon looked at Asher.
The same Asher who was casually standing there while Walter was holding his arm.
Then Leon remembered what had happened in the last few seconds.
His eye getting gouged out.
Celestine losing all four limbs.
Roselia getting beaten without being able to resist.
And then that sphere.
Then he muttered,
"What the hell happened?"
"It hasn’t even been ten seconds."
Leon still couldn’t understand it.
Just a few moments ago they were still fighting against Asher normally.
Then Asher said he would stop holding back and try to kill him for real.
And within less than ten seconds they had already lost.
Then he looked at Asher with his remaining eye and found Asher looking back at him with one eye as well.
Then Asher said,
"See, you survived it. Even when I tried to kill you for real, you still survived. You really do have the plot armor of the protagonist of some fantasy novel."
Then he looked at Walter and continued,
"Some elder came to save you at the last second before I could finish you off. Congratulations on surviving. There aren’t many people who survive after I try to kill them for real."
Then he paused for a moment before continuing,
"But don’t try to kill me again, even by mistake, or else no one will be able to protect you then."
After hearing this from Asher, Leon instinctively started shaking his head and muttered while trembling,
"I won’t... not even in my dreams."
Walter was still looking at the place where the sphere had landed.
Then he looked at Asher and said,
"So you really completed that crazy spell."
A/N:- Too fast paced fight?want POV of Roselia or should I just ignore that
