Chapter 314: Chapter 113: Xingguang: Missing My Man_3
Thinking of something, Jie Siyu suddenly asked Jiang Qin, "Assistant Jiang, can I go back to see my son?"
Jiang Qin hesitated slightly, then agreed. "Alright."
With Jiang Qin accompanying her, Jie Siyu returned to the home she shared with Qiu Cheng’an.
When they arrived home, it was early evening, and her younger son Qiu Baisheng’s elementary school had let out at 4:30 in the afternoon.
Jie Siyu returned home not long after her younger son had just gotten back.
At that moment, the scandals about Jie Siyu hadn’t reached the Qiu family, and hadn’t reached Qiu Baisheng’s ears. Seeing Jie Siyu return, Qiu Baisheng hurriedly climbed down from his room upstairs and hugged Jie Siyu tightly.
"Mom, why are you crying?"
Twelve-year-old Qiu Baisheng was already at Jie Siyu’s shoulder height. Noticing his mother’s eyes filled with tears, Qiu Baisheng felt a wave of unease in his heart.
Staring at her son’s still young and tender cheeks, Jie Siyu felt a wave of shame in her heart.
Shaking her head, Jie Siyu said, "It’s nothing, where’s your dad?"
Qiu Baisheng said, "Dad is in the backyard on the phone. I don’t know what happened; he’s been getting calls all this time."
Just as Qiu Baisheng finished speaking, Qiu Cheng’an walked in through the back door. Over sixty years old, Qiu Cheng’an was slightly plump, but his facial features were still distinct, revealing he had once possessed a handsome and frivolous face in his youth.
Upon seeing Jie Siyu, Qiu Cheng’an’s gaze turned icy.
He said to his son, "Baisheng, go back to your room."
Noticing the severity on his father’s face, Qiu Baisheng was filled with confusion, but didn’t dare disobey, so he went upstairs, glancing back every few steps. Just as he reached the corridor on the second floor, he was startled by the crisp sound of a slap.
Slap!
Qiu Cheng’an slapped Jie Siyu across the face, swelling up half of her face.
Qiu Cheng’an then cursed, "Jie Siyu, you fool. It’s one thing if you want to mess up your own life, but why drag me down too! Now everyone knows you’re a vicious mother who sold her daughter, and they’re all secretly calling me a beast!"
"Thanks to you, my reputation is completely ruined!"
Qiu Cheng’an was furious, shaking his sore hand, then sneered, "When we first met, every time you mentioned your deceased ex-husband, you’d look like you were deeply in love, unable to forget him. I thought you were a woman of deep feelings and principles and admired you for it."
"Who would have thought it was all an act. While he was still alive, you were sleeping with other men behind his back. You make me sick! If I’d known what kind of person you were, I would have let you fall into degradation and live a life of depravity!"
Receiving a slap and insulted by Qiu Cheng’an, Jie Siyu kept her lips tightly sealed, not uttering a word in defense.
Covering her aching cheek, she looked up towards the second floor and choked out, "I’m going to turn myself in to the police, Qiu Cheng’an. Baisheng is your son after all. I hope you can be a competent father and raise him well."
Qiu Cheng’an looked at her, surprised, and said curiously, "You’re going to turn yourself in?"
Jie Siyu had mercilessly sold Bai Xi without a second thought before; she wasn’t someone to do such a noble thing. Why would she just decide to turn herself in now?
Before Jie Siyu could respond, Jiang Qin pushed open the courtyard gate and entered, urging Jie Siyu impatiently, "Ms. Jie, if we don’t leave now, the police station will be closed."
Seeing Jiang Qin, what did Qiu Cheng’an still not understand?
"Did Jiang Heng make you do this?" Qiu Cheng’an’s expression changed slightly with a thought, and he asked nervously, "Did Jiang Heng also go after Bai Xuan?"
Without explaining, Jie Siyu turned and left with Jiang Qin.
Qiu Baisheng stood by the window of the room on the second floor, tears in his eyes as he watched his mother’s departing figure, crying out to her, "Mom, why are you turning yourself in? Did you do something bad?"
Jie Siyu paused slightly, turned back and gazed at the small figure on the second floor.
In that moment, Jie Siyu felt regret tearing through her.
"Baisheng, you must grow up well and be an honest, good child. In the future, don’t come to visit me; stay far away from places like prison." She feared that after raising a crooked Bai Xuan, she might end up raising Qiu Baisheng crooked too.
Qiu Baisheng wanted to ask more, but was pulled into the room by Qiu Cheng’an, who then closed the doors and windows.
Seeing this, Jie Siyu left with Jiang Qin.

"Jie Siyu went to turn herself in."
Bai Xi received a call from the police station and learned that Jie Siyu had turned herself in, a sudden sense of relief washed over her.
Yet there was no particular joy in her heart from avenging her grievances.
Cheng Xizhou, seeing Bai Xi’s tears glistening in her eyes, lovingly hugged her and stroked her head, repeatedly telling her, "You did the right thing; she committed a crime and should turn herself in."
