Chapter 570: Give Me Your Blood, Willingly
(Author’s POV)
"El~ ... Elisa, what are you doing here? Wh~ere is Yelena?" Myra questioned, confusion etched on her face. Her eyes lingered on her from head to toe as she added, "And~ ... why are you wearing her clothes?" She then noticed her bare, clean, smooth, unblemished hands. ’Weren’t there burn marks on her hands? Where did they disappear to?’ It felt gravely odd to her.
Elisa stared at her for a minute with no real emotion, which made Myra brim with anxiety and suspicion. Then, a corner of her mouth turned upwards, deriding Myra, "Surprise, surprise~~~ .... I have been waiting for you."
"Huhh???" Myra took a step back, her face scrunched together. "What do you mean, waiting for me? Why?" Her eyes darted around, her grip on her phone tightening as she took a step or two back. "Elisa, what is the meaning of all this?" She tried to sound calm and firm, but inwardly she was shaking. She then shifted her gaze to Aamon, who was on the side watching the two. "Aamon, you said Yelena was here?"
"Myra~ Myra~.... darling~ ...." Elisa’s smirk deepened, grabbing her attention back, "You are either very brave or very stupid." Myra didn’t utter anything. Elisa continued, "Even after suffering such a ghastly incident and narrowly escaping death a few days ago, you are here once again, completely unguarded, inside the dark forest, following a stranger’s words."
"That’s a sign of pure foolishness, I suppose," Aamon spoke, "Isn’t it, my dear friend?"
Myra gulped down, still trying to make sense out of their words and gauge their intentions, "What are you two trying to do? Why did you bring me here? I~ ... I did not do anything to either of you. What do you want from me??"
"My intention~ .... hehh~ .... it’s pretty simple," Elisa hummed casually. She took two steps forward, her hips swaying rhythmically. Tucking a finger under Myra’s chin, she raised her head to meet her dead in her hazels, "What I want is~ .... for you~ .... to give me your blood, on your own accord."
"My blood?" Myra’s fists clasped in an iron grip. "Why do you need it?"
"Yes, your precious blood. As for why~ ... you don’t need to know," Elisa dismissed her. "All you need to do is follow my words and do as I say, willingly."
"Don’t touch me. I am not giving anything to you," Myra’s tone shifted defensively, slapping Elisa’s hand off her.
Aamon didn’t like it. He marched straight towards her, shoving her forcefully. As a result, Myra was pushed to the dirty, muddy ground, landing awkwardly on her side, her ribcage aching. He then hissed, "Don’t you fucking dare try to be rude to my queen. You filthy slutty human," his mask of friendliness slipped away completely. "You are not even qualified to clean her shoes."
He then looked at Elisa, his cold gaze shifting for a dreamy, fanboy one as he cupped her cheeks and gave her a passionate kiss right in front of Myra. Elisa reciprocated, deepening the kiss.
’Queen? Human?’ Myra was too stunned to process anything. She just knew that these two had ill will towards her, and she needed to get out of this place and far away from these lunatics as soon as possible. When the two were engrossed in their intense make-out session, she saw her chance and made a run for it, but with a snap of Aamon’s fingers, an invisible wall erupted. She banged into it and was thrown back violently. He did all this without breaking the kiss.
Myra growled in pain, "Arghhh~ ...." Her elbows scraped in the process, the corner of her mouth bleeding.
Breaking their lip-lock, they glanced at Myra with eyes full of mockery. Elisa spoke, her voice filled with absolute authority, "Where do you think you are going, peasant? Did I say you could leave? Don’t you understand your current situation?"
"Elisa, Aamon~ .... what are you two? Why are you doing this to me?" she asked again, clenching her teeth to suppress the ache. Then something struck her, as she inquired, "Did~ ... did Nigel and his family send you? Were you~ also involved in my~ .... in my accident?"
To be truthful, from the very start, she had felt something odd about Elisa. Ever since her father told her that Elisa was the one who followed those fangs-bearing goons and asked Brave for help, she found the whole thing absurdly weird. That girl didn’t call the cops, didn’t contact anyone else, just followed the car quietly, all alone, to a deserted area. What she didn’t understand was her intentions for doing all this. After all, she didn’t know Elisa at all.
"Haha~ .... I guess you are not that stupid, after all," Elisa chuckled. "I did have a hand in your abduction. But thank the hell, you didn’t die there. Otherwise~ .... I wouldn’t have gotten to know about your secret."
"My secret?" Myra’s eyes fluttered with nervousness. "I don’t have a secret.
"Ohhh~ ... yes, you do~ ... sweetheart. You just don’t know about it yourself," Elisa came closer. Towering over Myra, with her heels, she lifted Myra’s dirt filled face and added, "A dead person shouldn’t leave this world with a burden, right? Anyways~ .... I don’t have time for all this idle chit chat. I want you to cooperate with us and give your blood to me willingly. Understand."
"I refuse to give anything to you two psychopaths," Myra rebuked. "If you try to do anything to me~ .... I will~ ... I will~ ...."
"You will do what exactly~ ...." Aamon queried, tilting his head. He held Elisa close by her waist, "A weakling like you can’t do anything to either of us."
Before Elisa had come close, Myra had unzipped her backpack and quietly taken out a folding knife.
After the incident with those lecherous vampires, wherever she went, she carried the knife with her for safety purposes. She didn’t expect she would need it so soon.
With a cling sound, the knife unfolded. She grabbed Elisa’s foot with one hand and lunged at her with the other with all her strength, shouting, "IN YOUR DREAMS~~~~~ ...."
Elisa was startled and didn’t get a chance to dodge. The small yet sharp knife sliced her right leg as she screamed in horrific pain~ ... "AAAAAAaaAAAAAAAAAaaaaaa ...."
Aamon gave Myra a brutal kick and caught Elisa in his arms.
Myra’s mouth was filled with a metallic taste. Aamon hadn’t held back with the attack. She saw Aamon pulling out the knife from Elisa’s leg and licking her wound like a dog. Her eyes fluttered violently after what she saw next.
The freshly cut injury she had given Elisa had healed in an instant. There was no blood, no mark, not even a scar left. With a trembling voice, she asked, "What are you two?"
