Chapter 63 - 63 : T-1000 And 2B

---

"Do people in town hate me?"

Wanda hid behind Finn, only her head peeking out, her tone cautious, filled with worry and fear.

"Don't think about it, Wanda. The people in this town are very friendly; they would never do that."

Hearing this, Finn hugged her, distressed.

When he lowered his head, he met her clear, lively eyes, which were still slightly clouded with doubt.

He knew that Wanda was deeply concerned about the opinions of strangers. He could feel the woman in his arms tremble slightly, like a frightened deer.

"I'm sorry, Wanda. We're just doing a routine investigation; there's no malice behind it. You can simply explain what happened last night."

Jimmy Woo didn't want to investigate either, but there was the Sokovia Accords to consider. Any registered enhanced individual who violated the law had to go through this procedure.

In fact, Jimmy Woo knew deep down that the video posted by the Daily Bugle wasn't entirely true. He'd heard rumors that the whole incident was a scheme orchestrated by Mysterio, but the higher-ups had yet to clarify things publicly. And with Nick Fury missing, there was no one to clear up the confusion.

This matter had been blown out of proportion, and now the entire town was on edge.

To this, Wanda nodded indifferently.

She briefly explained what happened last night, including the appearance of the Kamar-Taj practitioners, the shadow, and the apostle Carat trying to escape.

Jimmy Woo and Monica asked a few more questions, then turned to leave without staying too long.

"Wanda, you don't need to worry about what others say. What people think won't affect our lives," Finn said as he watched the two agents step into the elevator, his voice soft but firm.

Finn hugged Wanda tightly as they returned to the house. He could feel the weight of her sadness, and he comforted her in a low voice.

"Finn, I'm not thinking too much into it," she said, her voice a bit hoarse, "I'm just a little sad. People always care more about appearances and never about what's on the inside."

She frowned, recalling some past hurts.

She rubbed her eyes, slightly red from the emotional strain. "This was the case with the Sokovia Accords, and it's still the case now."

Finn gently stroked her hair. He knew Wanda had faced prejudice and judgment in the past, but it still stung every time she remembered it.

"I just feel... I've always tried to do what's right, but people are quick to judge. If I hadn't agreed to help yesterday, more lives might have been lost," Wanda continued, her voice tinged with regret. "But no one seems to care about the good we do. All they focus on is the fear."

Finn nodded, understanding her pain. He knew what it felt like to be constantly misunderstood. He kissed her forehead gently.

"Hey, people's hearts are unpredictable," he said with a sigh, "You can't control what others think. But we know the truth, and that's what matters."

Wanda smiled faintly, appreciating his support, and she curled up on the couch. Her eyes began to flutter closed.

"I'm a little tired," she whispered, "I think I'll rest for a bit."

Finn carefully tucked her into bed, then went to the study next door. The house fell silent as the wind outside gently rustled the curtains.

The study was dusty from lack of use, and Finn moved to close the window. He needed some time to think—time to work through the situation that seemed to be spiraling out of control.

As Finn closed the door behind him, he waved his hand, and suddenly, an ocean of stars appeared above his head, glittering and twinkling with boundless energy.

"Let me think..."

He focused intently, pondering the situation that had been weighing on his mind. Wanda's emotions, Peter's temper, the Kamar-Taj wizards—everything seemed tangled, and the risks were growing.

They would probably turn to Doctor Strange for help and use the magic hidden deep within Kamar-Taj to make people forget certain events. But Finn knew that such solutions often had unforeseen consequences. What new trouble might they face after altering people's memories?

Finn had been cautious, especially about revealing his own abilities. If people learned the full extent of his powers, it would raise suspicions. In this delicate time, he had to be careful. The more he tried to protect Wanda, the more he realized that his presence alone could cause even more complications.

And then there was the issue of Shadow's identity—Wanda might already be suspicious of him.

"I need a helper," Finn thought aloud. "I can't be in two places at once, and Shadow can't always appear with me."

His thoughts whirled as he came to a conclusion.

Building a shadow organization would be the best course of action. A group of operatives working behind the scenes, carrying out tasks on his behalf. But who could he trust to act in the shadows? Who could he send to handle the dangerous tasks?

A sudden realization struck him.

"Why must it be a human?" Finn muttered. "I could build robots. They won't disobey my commands."

He had the power to create super-intelligent robots—intelligent enough to serve as weapons and military assets.

His abilities were vast, and he could construct such creations easily, especially since he'd already done something similar with Vision. The technology was advanced enough to allow for something even more powerful than Vision—more versatile, and more efficient.

"Let's do this," Finn said, determined.

He focused, drawing on his magical energy and the knowledge of his previous life. His hands glowed with a soft, golden light as he conjured two spheres of energy, each one swirling with cosmic power. The stars above him shone brightly as he weaved the magic together.

Time passed quickly, and soon enough, two glowing orbs of light hovered in front of him. They flickered and pulsed, ready for creation.

With a deep breath, Finn whispered, "Let's create."

The first orb split open, and from it emerged a figure: T-1000, a liquid metal robot capable of assuming any form. As the T-1000 materialized, its mechanical eyes scanned Finn, locking onto him as its new master. It immediately shifted into the form of an Asian man, adapting seamlessly to its environment.

"Terminator T-1000 will serve you from now on!" the robot said in a voice that was chilling yet full of respect.

The second orb opened, and from it stepped a striking figure—a woman with short white hair and a battle-ready demeanor. She was clad in a black outfit, complete with an eye mask and knee-high boots. She exuded strength and mystery.

"YorHa 2B will serve you in the future!" the robot said, bowing to Finn.

Finn stood back, inspecting both creations. "It's done."

The two robots stood before him, ready to carry out any command. He smiled, satisfied with the result. These creations were far superior to their original counterparts. Powerful, obedient, and without flaws.

"Now," Finn thought, "let's see what happens next."

---

Just then, a knock echoed on the door, followed by the witch's familiar voice—soft yet commanding, just after waking up: "Finn, are you in the study? Can I come in?"

"Who?" Finn's voice echoed through the study.

2B's eyes narrowed sharply when she heard the knock. The mechanical blade suspended on her back flew into her hand. In her programming, the first directive was to protect Finn at all costs.

"Don't," Finn hastily interrupted, raising a hand. He glanced at the shadow agents around him. "You two go with them first, and I'll send you the mission data later."

"Understood."

2B froze for a moment, then glanced at the door. She sheathed her sword and melted into the darkness with the shadow agents.

"Finn?"

Wanda stepped inside, her green eyes scanning the room. When she spotted him seated at his desk, playing a game with his headphones on, she visibly relaxed. "So you are here."

"Um?" Finn glanced up, his brow furrowing as he removed his headphones. Upon seeing the witch standing there, he smiled softly. "You're awake. Are you hungry?"

"Hungry? It's already noon," Wanda remarked, glancing at the clock on the computer screen. She was a bit surprised—had she really slept that long?

"I noticed you were sleeping so peacefully, so I didn't want to wake you," Finn said, his voice tinged with concern. He leaned over and pinched her soft cheek. "You've been through so much recently."

Wanda couldn't help but smile at his words. The recent challenges, including the accusations and media slander, weighed heavily on her. She had dealt with so much—especially since her grief-stricken days and the encounter with Agatha. The witch had become fragile under all the pressure, and Finn was genuinely worried for her.

"No, I'll never feel tired as long as you're by my side," Wanda said, her voice soft but firm. She reached out and pinched his cheek in return, her touch gentle but full of affection.

Despite the roughness of his skin, the man's face was warm, and the feeling of his rough fingers was oddly comforting. She smiled, noting how her mood improved just from his simple actions. "I'll cook lunch today—how does braised pork sound?"

"Sounds great," Finn replied with a grin, recalling the last time she made it. The taste was unforgettable—no less impressive than a professional chef's.

Wanda's cooking skills never failed to amaze him. They were as sharp as her magic.

The delicious scent of cooking soon filled the room, and the aroma of braised pork wafted through the house, making them both hungry. A short while later, three dishes and a soup were placed before them on the table.

"Eat quickly," Wanda said, offering him a piece of perfectly cooked meat with an expectant look.

Finn took a bite, his eyes lighting up. "Seems like your cooking skills have improved again. Were you secretly practicing?"

Wanda chuckled softly. "Where would I hide the time for that? It's the same as before."

Finn smirked playfully, "I'm telling you, even someone like Master Yoda wouldn't resist a bite."

Wanda laughed, her lips curving into a sweet smile. Despite knowing he was teasing her, her heart warmed at his words.

The meal was lighthearted and filled with good conversation—mostly about daily matters, and occasionally random things they had seen online. The atmosphere was easygoing, and the tension that had plagued both of them seemed to dissipate with every bite. Even in the face of the gossip and attacks online, they managed to enjoy the simple pleasures of life together.

As they finished, Wanda glanced up, her voice a little more serious. "Finn, I want to go to that restaurant in town tonight, the one on the food street."

Finn hesitated. He knew exactly what this meant. Wanda wanted to face the world, to see how the townspeople would react to her after all the controversy. She had made her decision, and she was determined to move forward.

"But..." Finn trailed off, understanding her reasoning. She needed to see for herself how the town would treat her.

"We haven't been there in so long. Remember how we used to go there every day? Let's go tonight. I want to do this," Wanda said, her voice gentle but resolute.

Finn sighed, finally relenting. "Alright, we'll go together tonight."

Wanda's face brightened with a smile, and Finn couldn't resist the pull of her joy. It had been a long time since they'd done something so ordinary.

Later that evening, they remained on the couch—Wanda with her book, reading about the Darkhold, and Finn checking his laptop for news. Despite the negative press about the Scarlet Witch, it hadn't affected her spirit. She continued learning, immersing herself in ancient texts. However, Finn could see the occasional furrow in her brow, the disbelief flashing across her face. She was understanding something.

Finn often found himself stealing glances at her, marveling at her cuteness and occasionally wishing to pinch her cheek just to see her smile. No matter where she was or what she was doing, he couldn't help but be captivated by her.

Meanwhile, Finn's mind kept returning to the reports about Wanda. The world had been cruel—spreading rumors about her, digging into her past, dredging up every dark moment for public scrutiny. Even though he rarely lost his cool, he found himself swearing under his breath.

"Dammit..." Finn muttered as he scanned another post filled with insults.

He quickly opened a secure messaging app and typed a command.

[ Finn: Suppress the posts about Scarlet Witch. Ban the accounts spreading the insults. ]

[T-1000: Understood.]

Finn's trusted AI, the T-1000, responded almost immediately. The powerful network system at its disposal was unparalleled. It could remove harmful content from the internet faster than any human could blink.

By the afternoon, the negative posts about Wanda were gone, and the accounts responsible were banned.

Finn looked at the message, satisfied with the result. A smile crept onto his face.

"Is something wrong?" Wanda asked, looking up at him. The smile on his face was so rare and captivating that it made her heart skip a beat.

He looked down at her and replied, "I noticed that restaurant owner posted some new dishes. How about we go there later? Just the two of us."

Wanda's eyes brightened, and she checked the clock on the wall. "It's already six. Let's go now."

"Alright," Finn agreed, nodding.

They both stood up, preparing to leave. But there was a slight shift in Wanda's demeanor—her usual confidence seemed to waver just a little. It wasn't easy to hide the uncertainty in her heart.

Finn noticed it immediately but didn't comment. He could tell that she was anxious, though she tried her best to mask it.

As they left the house, the night air felt different. The witch beside him might be hiding her nerves, but he knew that no matter how the world treated her, he would always be by her side.
