Chapter 189: Chapter 187: Midnight Snack
The terrifying physical might of his **Demon Body**, combined with an explosive burst of **Vitality** fueled by his surging **Qi Blood**, gave **Fu Juemin’s** **Moon Grasp** a truly majestic aura, as if he could pluck the very stars and moon from the sky.
While the **Ape Form** of the **Five Beasts Skill** was meant to rely on finesse, in his hands, all that remained was brutish, unreasoning force.
But the effect was the same.
Caught off guard, **He Xin** was instantly yanked forward by the suction, his entire body falling uncontrollably into **Fu Juemin’s** palm.
"CRACKLE! POP!"
**Fu Juemin** closed his fingers. Air crackled between them, but all he grasped was a puff of shadow that quickly dissipated.
He froze for a moment, then shook his head.
’I almost forgot...’
’When dealing with **Demon Fiends**, especially a **Demon Species** like this with strange abilities that seemed to negate normal **Attacks**, ordinary **Martial Arts** are somewhat ineffective.’
’It was just like that **Painted Ghost** from before. No matter how much I punched or kicked it, it wouldn’t die. I had to use **Demon Soul Force**.’
In the center of his **Copper Hide**-covered chest, a small patch of jet-black, vein-like patterns quietly bulged and began to spread.
Using the **Snake Phase Poison Seed** as a medium, he channeled the **Demon Soul Force** of the **Black-Scaled Snake Demon**, producing a wondrous resonance...

In that instant, wisps of **Formless Qi** seemed to rise from **Fu Juemin’s** body. His **Perception**, now attuned to other **Demon Species**, pinpointed **He Xin’s** location, and he unleashed another **Moon Grasp**.
This **Moon Grasp**, however, had a completely different feel. Beyond its original brutish dominance, it now held a sinister coldness and a viscous quality, carrying the treacherous subtlety of a venomous python striking from its lair.
This was **Fu Juemin’s** first time using a **Five Beasts Qigong** technique to channel **Demon Soul Force**, and the resulting power was quite satisfactory.
To **He Xin**, however, this transformation appeared as a ferocious, terrifying, black-scaled giant python coiling around **Fu Juemin’s** powerful frame.
At this point, **He Xin** was already scared witless. The **Guardian Demon** **Consciousness** within him grew more agitated than ever, frantically signaling for him to flee.
Faced with **Fu Juemin’s** **Moon Grasp**, he had no thought of resistance. He simply turned, dove for a corner, and rapidly melted into the darkness.
He intended to repeat his trick, but this time **Fu Juemin’s** large hand followed as if it were his own shadow, plunging straight into the dense darkness.
It was like plunging a hand into a pool of thick ink.
When **Fu Juemin** withdrew his arm, his five fingers were hooked like talons, clamped tightly around a pale, despairing head!
With a simple tug, **Fu Juemin** yanked **He Xin’s** entire body back out of the shadows.
"WHOOSH—"
Something flashed in his peripheral vision. **Fu Juemin** frowned, but after a glance at **He Xin** in his grasp, he didn’t give it a second thought. He simply put his strength into it and slammed him down!
"BOOM!"
A huge, muffled clap of thunder.
The hard marble floor shattered and caved in at the point of impact, spiderweb cracks crazily spreading across the entire bedroom!
With the first blow landed, **Fu Juemin** showed no mercy. He gripped **He Xin’s** head with one hand, lifting him like a ragdoll and repeatedly slamming him left and right!
"BOOM! BOOM! BOOM—!"
After a few more slams, the surrounding marble floor was reduced to rubble, and the entire room was a wreck.
When he lifted the man in the black military uniform again, still gripping him by the head, he found the man was seemingly "on his last breath."
’This was probably the weakest **Demon Fiend** I’ve ever encountered.’
’Aside from that initial burst, he’d put up almost no resistance. He didn’t know any **Martial Arts**, just some basic close-quarters combat skills. Besides his strange ability and being physically stronger than a normal person, there was nothing to him.’

’Oh, or maybe it’s just that I’ve gotten too strong.’
’After all... this is just a **Demon Minion**.’
**Fu Juemin** looked at the limp man in the black uniform, placed his hands on the man’s shoulders, and suddenly executed the **Bear Striking Form** from the **Five Beasts Qigong**...
"CRACK! CRUNCH! SNAP—"
With a series of sickening, bone-shattering cracks, the man was twisted into a black "towel" by the monstrous strength in **Fu Juemin’s** hands.
"THUD—"
**Fu Juemin** casually tossed the man to the floor and scanned his surroundings.
Suddenly, a thought struck him like a bolt of lightning!
’Wait, a **Demon Minion**?!’
’This guy was just a **Demon Minion**?’
’But what I sensed earlier was clearly a powerful **Demon Fiend**!’
The very instant **Fu Juemin’s** brow furrowed, a streak of rich, dark green shot out from the surrounding darkness, silent as a laser beam aimed straight at his heart.
Alarms blared in his mind, and **Fu Juemin** instinctively reached out to grab it!
"BANG—!"
With a muffled impact, **Fu Juemin’s** powerful body swayed slightly.
His hand was clamped in front of his chest, his fingers gripping a long, slimy, dark green tongue.
The tip of the tongue shimmered with an intense, eerie light. It had already reached his body, leaving a shallow dent right over his heart.
If not for his quick reflexes, if not for the protection of his **Copper Hide**, that single strike would have pierced straight through his heart.
At this thought, a savage look flashed across **Fu Juemin’s** face. His arm, like cast iron, suddenly tensed, and he yanked hard on the dark green tongue!
In an instant, he brutally dragged a creature from the darkness—a **Guardian Demon**, over a man’s length, pitch-black all over, and shaped like black **Jade**.
As the **Guardian Demon** stumbled out, the back half of its body was still "stuck" to the darkness, as if **Fu Juemin** had forcibly ripped it out of some kind of **Ink Pool**.
"A **Guardian Demon Species**!"
As **Fu Juemin** got a clear look at the **Demon Fiend**, his eyes flashed, and a powerful surge of joyous surprise welled up inside him!
He had been consciously searching for and hunting specific **Demon Fiends** to complete his **Five Poison Five Phases Demon Soul**. But until now, apart from a **Flood Dragon Level Centipede Spirit** hidden in the **Friend Mountain Mine** that he dared not provoke, he had no leads on the other **Demon Souls** he needed.
He never expected that one of the **Five Poison Five Phases**—a **Guardian Demon**—would deliver itself to him today!
Overjoyed, **Fu Juemin** activated his **Demon Body**, ready to drag the **Guardian Demon** over and beat it to death. But unexpectedly, the tongue he held so tightly suddenly became incredibly slick and, with a "WHOOSH," slipped right through his fingers.
**Fu Juemin’s** expression turned cold. The instant the tongue slipped free, his body flickered, and he reappeared next to a wall.

With a "FLICK," he switched on the bedroom’s main light.
Soft light from the crystal chandelier on the ceiling instantly flooded the room. **Fu Juemin** squinted, using his **Demon Soul** **Perception** to lock onto the cold aura flitting frantically at the edge of the light. At the same time, he grabbed one of the posts of the brass-pillared bed in the **Central** part of the room.
"CRACK... SNAP!"
Amid the grating screech of twisting metal, he ripped the solid brass post clean off. He twisted it, the immense force grinding the tip into a sharp, angled point, turning it into a heavy and deadly makeshift javelin.
He had already figured it out: the **Guardian Demon’s** ability was to hide within shadows. It could conceal itself anywhere there was darkness, a natural-born assassin.
However, with several **Great Demon Soul Seeds** inside him, his **Perception** of the auras of fellow **Demon Fiends** was incredibly sharp. He could pinpoint the **Guardian Demon’s** location without relying on his five senses.
Now...
’It’s still moving. It hasn’t left.’
A faint, cold **Consciousness**, mixed with hatred and fear, clung to **Fu Juemin**.
**Fu Juemin** stood silently in the center of the room, expression calm, gripping the brass "javelin."
"CLICK—"
At one point, the hand on a **Western World** chiming clock hanging on the wall ticked forward, making an incredibly faint, crisp sound.
"WHOOSH—"
**Fu Juemin** moved in a flash, and the javelin he’d fashioned from the bedpost shot from his hand!
"BOOM!"
"CRASH—"
The muffled thud of the javelin embedding itself deep in the wall and the explosive crash of the enameled glass of the floor-to-ceiling window on the other side of the room erupted at nearly the same time!
"WHOOSH—"
At the same time, the bedroom door was violently thrown open from the outside, and **Big Cat** and **Kitty** rushed in together.
Seeing the wrecked state of the room, both of their eyes narrowed slightly.
**Fu Juemin**, however, had already reverted from his **Demon Body** state, returning to his usual handsome, slender form.
"**Young Master**!"

**Big Cat** called out in a low voice.
**Fu Juemin** paid him no mind, simply striding to the wardrobe, from which he casually took out a set of loose-fitting clothes and put them on.
He walked over to the shattered floor-to-ceiling window as he fastened his buttons.
The cold winter wind howled in through the broken pane, ruffling the black hair on **Fu Juemin’s** forehead.
He narrowed his eyes, gazing out into the night, as thick and dark as ink.
In his **Perception**, the cold aura of the **Guardian Demon** was now fleeing into the distance like a beaten dog.
He took a deep breath of the biting night air, tilted his head slightly, and said in a calm, flat voice, "Tell the kitchen... they don’t need to make my supper tonight."
With that said, **Fu Juemin** leaped out the window without a backward glance.
He landed in the dark night as nimbly as a great bird, then broke into a sprint in a specific direction.
The night wind billowed in **Fu Juemin’s** robes, but in his eyes burned a fire that no wind could extinguish.
’If I hadn’t run into it, so be it...’
’But since our paths have crossed, then tonight, that Guardian **Demon Soul Seed**... is as good as mine!’
