Chapter 192: Chapter 122: Take the Money, Eliminate the Disaster

Although the Four Seas Tower appeared neutral, who was to say they wouldn’t leak their clients’ private information?

"Fine. It saves us the trouble anyway. Five days from now, same place." The person in the shadows seemed to read Jiang Che’s mind but didn’t care.

After paying the deposit, Jiang Che left.

Five days passed in a flash.

During those five days, Jiang Che had been keeping a close watch on any news regarding Yin’s Cloth Shop.

But he heard no news of any gangs showing up to cause trouble.

This allowed Jiang Che to breathe a sigh of relief.

「Five days later.」

Jiang Che, disguised once more, returned to the Four Seas Tower and, just as expected, received a thick dossier.

He paid the remaining balance and departed swiftly.

Back at his residence, Jiang Che carefully perused the dossier.

In the East Market Street area, there were a total of eight gangs infamous for their wicked deeds.

None of them were particularly large. The strongest leaders were merely at the Early-stage or Mid Stage of the Force Integration Realm, with no Bone Forging Realm experts backing them.

The dossier detailed their crimes; they were thoroughly wicked and deserved death many times over.

Most importantly,

these gangs had no powerful backers!

Even if they were annihilated, no one would come seeking revenge on their behalf.

A cold glint flashed in Jiang Che’s eyes. ’Perfect. I can consider this delivering justice!’

That night, the moon was hidden and the wind howled.

In a noisy courtyard in the west of the city, several brawny, thuggish-looking men sat around a table, drinking and eating.

One man with a scar on his face threw back a mouthful of wine and grinned. "Damn it, that old bastard at the new noodle shop today actually dared to talk back to me! I severed the tendons in his legs right then and there. The way the old coot crawled on the ground like a dog... it was fucking hilarious!"

The words had barely left his mouth when a thunderous BOOM echoed through the air!

The courtyard gate and its frame were shattered by an immense force, sending splinters flying everywhere!

A masked man dressed in black stormed in, his icy gaze sweeping over the men.

"Who the hell are you?! You’re fucking asking to die!" Scarface roared in fury, snatching up the Ghost Head Saber at his side.

The others also scrambled to their feet, grabbing their weapons and shouting curses.

The masked man’s voice was low and devoid of emotion. "You’re from the Black Wolf Gang?"

"You know we’re the Black Wolf Gang and you still dare to run wild here? Dice him!" Scarface roared, and the men lunged forward as one.

In an instant, blades flashed and the wind howled with deadly Force.

However, the masked man moved like a phantom, his strikes as swift as lightning.

With a few sickening thuds and choked screams, the once-menacing gang members all collapsed, dead before they could even mount a proper defense.

The masked man was, of course, Jiang Che.

He looked at his palm, marveling. Even though he had undergone the Dissipating Skill process, his Qi Force had grown several times stronger!

And that was on top of his whole host of Passive Talents.

Even though Scarface was also in the Force Integration Realm, he couldn’t withstand a single one of Jiang Che’s moves!

With that done, Jiang Che began to search the building.

’This was the real reason I came here!’

After a thorough search,

Jiang Che found a considerable number of gold bank notes in a hidden compartment, under a bed, and on the bodies of the men.

He also found some inferior Elixir Pills, a few rudimentary Martial Arts Secret Manuals, and some scattered pieces of Exotic Beast Dried Meat.

He bundled up everything of value.

Then, dipping his finger in Scarface’s blood, he wrote on the wall:

"The Black Wolf Gang: You dominated the market, raped and plundered, and stopped at no evil. You deserved to die. —Meng Hao, the Purger of Evil."

Meng Hao, of course, was an alias created by Jiang Che.

He wanted to mislead the public into believing that a righteous Knight who despised evil was specifically targeting and executing these villains.

After all, even though he was killing gang members, his own actions were not exactly above board.

It was best to avoid exposure if at all possible.

After writing, he carefully inspected the bodies. He then circulated his Qi Force, striking the corpses repeatedly to alter their wounds, making it impossible to determine which Cultivation Technique had been used.

He then slipped away under the cover of darkness.

Over the next few nights, Jiang Che repeated the same process.

He relied on his strength, which far surpassed that of an ordinary Force Integration practitioner, as well as the aid of his [Invisibility] Talent.

He silently eliminated the leaders and core members of the other seven gangs, one by one.

At each location, he would plunder their wealth, leave his bloody message, alter the wounds on the bodies, and then vanish without a trace.

After dealing with all the gangs on East Market Street, Jiang Che returned to his quarters in the Cangyun Sect and began to take stock of his spoils.

Looking at the table overflowing with spoils, he couldn’t help but be secretly astounded.

’These gangs seemed so insignificant, yet they were this wealthy! It looks like they’ve extorted plenty from the common folk!’

After taking inventory, a smile crept onto Jiang Che’s face.

The gold bank notes alone amounted to a total of four thousand taels!

On top of that, there was a miscellaneous pile of Elixir Pills, Secret Manuals, and other materials.

However, the origins of the Elixir Pills were unknown, so he didn’t dare consume them. He planned to have them appraised at a Pharmacy and sell them off later.

As for the Low-Level Martial Arts Secret Manuals, they were perfect for his Cultivation practice.

By repeatedly practicing a technique and then using Dissipating Skill, he could not only activate his Talents but also increase the speed of his Cultivation.

This had become his optimal method of training.

The only issue was that he currently lacked Withered Soul Grass, so he couldn’t start practicing them yet.

He would have to wait a few months for Cloud Mist Ridge to open before he could figure out a way to get some.
