Chapter 282: Chapter 162: Ferocious Might
’Such hard bones!’
Xu Yang’s finger made contact with the bone, and it felt like tapping on solid metal. To his surprise, it only left a web of fine cracks, failing to destroy Su Qiming’s arm in one blow.
"AARGH..."
A shrill scream escaped Su Qiming’s lips as he yanked his arm back as if he’d been shocked.
But Xu Yang wasn’t about to let him get his way. He followed the motion, and his hand shot out, five fingers clamping down on Su Qiming’s mangled, bloody wrist like iron pincers.
At the same time, his other hand shot out like lightning. With a sudden exertion of force, he crossed his hands and tore.
Tearing Sinews and Shattering Bones!
RRIP...
The nauseating sound of tearing flesh echoed as two chunks of muscle were ripped from the bone, revealing the translucent white bone beneath.
Su Qiming’s vision went black. He was on the verge of passing out from the pain.
Xu Yang tossed aside the flesh he held, grabbed the now-bare bone with both hands, and snapped it with a violent twist.
CRACK!

Accompanied by a sharp crack, he forcibly broke and tore off Su Qiming’s already-fractured arm.
"AARGH..."
Su Qiming’s scream was bloodcurdling. His body teetered on the verge of collapse. The agony of his severed arm contorted his face, and his eyes filled with pure terror. He looked at Xu Yang as if he were staring at a Demon God.
Xu Yang’s gaze was cold, devoid of any sympathy. His golden finger cut through the air and pressed against Su Qiming’s Dantian.
PFFT!
Finger Force erupted. Su Qiming shuddered, his face turning ashen. Like a punctured ball, his aura rapidly deflated.
With a single finger, Xu Yang had destroyed all of his Gang Qi.
His eyes bulged, his venomous stare a mixture of terror and agony.
He had never imagined that his attempt to kill an Outer Disciple of the Purple Sun Sect at Gang Qi Minor Achievement would end like this.
"Tell me every Pill Formula you know!"
Xu Yang’s fingers tightened around Su Qiming’s throat, but he didn’t deliver the killing blow just yet.
"Never!" Su Qiming spat, clenching his jaw, his gaze filled with venom.
He didn’t know what use Xu Yang could possibly have for his Pill Formulas, but he refused to let the man get what he wanted.
RRIP!
Xu Yang grabbed Su Qiming’s other arm—which was already twisted like a pretzel—and ripped it clean off, exposing the stark white bone.
"You bastard," Su Qiming gasped, his head swimming from the soul-tearing agony.
’A quick death is one thing, but this animal is actually torturing me.’
"You have one last chance to talk. I just want the Pill Formula for a Bone Marrow Cleansing Realm Elixir. Cooperate, and I might just let you live," Xu Yang said coldly, his killing intent washing over Su Qiming.

"I don’t know the Pill Formula for a Bone Marrow Cleansing Elixir. Besides, do you take me for a three-year-old? You think I’d believe a shameless bastard like you? If you’ve got the guts, then kill me. The Su Family will find you and get their revenge sooner or later."
Su Qiming really wanted to live.
But he knew Xu Yang wouldn’t let him go. If he was released, Xu Yang’s own life would be forfeit. He was smart enough to understand that. A man as ruthless as Xu Yang would never leave a witness alive to cause him trouble later.
"How can you not know the Pill Formula for a Bone Marrow Cleansing Realm Elixir?"
Xu Yang frowned, unable to tell if Su Qiming was telling the truth.
Su Qiming sneered. "You country bumpkin, what do you take a Bone Marrow Cleansing Pill Formula for? There are countless powers, big and small, in Cyan Yang City, but you can count the ones who have a Bone Marrow Cleansing Realm Pill Formula on one hand."
’Does he really not know?’
"Then you can die."
Fearing that any further delay could lead to trouble, Xu Yang decided to end the interrogation. His gaze turned frigid. "If you have a son in your next life, remember to raise him right. Don’t let him become an arrogant, spoiled brat."
As he spoke, he slowly raised his palm and brought it down hard on Su Qiming’s forehead.
CRACK!
With a sharp crack, Su Qiming’s body convulsed. His forehead caved in, and his brains spattered. His body slumped to the ground, a flicker of regret in his fading eyes.
If he hadn’t used his status as a Pill Master to let Su Che run wild, allowing him to develop such an arrogant and domineering personality, he wouldn’t have met this fate today.
Xu Yang started looting the corpse but found nothing of value, only a few hundred silver.
’Two Pill Masters dead... The Su Family is going to lose its mind.’
He didn’t know if anyone else in the Su Family was aware that Su Qiming and Su Jie had come to kill him. If they were, he would soon have to face the full force of the Su Family’s revenge.
The deaths of two carefully groomed Pill Masters would be a massive blow to the Su Family. All of their business related to elixirs would suffer, and the entire family might even fall into decline as a result.
In a situation like this, it would be a miracle if the Su Family didn’t go berserk.
But under the circumstances, he’d had no choice but to kill Su Qiming and Su Jie.
’Fortunately, I refined two more batches of Gathering Essence Pills. That should last me a few months of cultivation.’
’In a few months, even if I can’t take on the Su Family head-on, I won’t be completely defenseless.’
He slung the two corpses over his shoulder and plunged into the forest. Half an hour later, he was already several miles from the site of the battle. He found a bottomless-looking cave, tossed the bodies of Su Qiming and Su Jie inside, and then resumed his journey back to the Purple Sun Sect.
...
Under the scorching sun, several disciples guarding the sect gate were hiding in a pavilion, making small talk.

"It’s been two days and Xu Yang still isn’t back. He must be dead. Another Ten Heroes Genius has fallen."
As Tian Jing justified his role in Xu Yang’s death to himself, he gave half-hearted replies to his companions.
’When I get some time, I’ll go to Cyan Yang City and pick up the Guiyuan Pill that Su Qiming promised me. My Cultivation will improve a lot then.’
’Don’t blame me. I just want to get ahead. It was his own fault for provoking a Pill Master from the Su Family. When they sent someone to find me, I didn’t dare refuse.’
"Someone’s coming!" someone suddenly said.
Everyone instinctively looked up. In the distance, a figure on the mountain path was slowly coming into focus.
"Xu Yang!"
They all recognized him—it was Xu Yang, the Ten Heroes Genius who had left the sect two days prior.
He carried a bundle that clinked and clanked as he walked. He soon reached the gate and presented his Identity Waist Token.
Since they all knew him, they didn’t bother with a thorough inspection and simply let him pass through the gate.
’Hm?’
Xu Yang paused. He noticed that among the disciples guarding the gate, one of them was looking at him differently.
While the others gave him a normal, passing glance, this man’s eyes were filled with shock and confusion, as if he were completely stunned to see him.
His eyes flickered over, feigning casualness. He remembered the man’s name was Tian Jing. They had been on a patrol mission together once.
Tian Jing was indeed baffled. ’Wasn’t Su Qiming supposed to kill Xu Yang? How did he make it back?’
’Could it be that Su Qiming didn’t find him after two days? Or did something go wrong with my message, and it never reached him?’
As these thoughts raced through his mind, Tian Jing waited for Xu Yang’s figure to disappear before standing up. "I just remembered something I have to take care of in the city today, but I forgot to request leave. Watch the gate for me, I’ll be right back."
One of the others grumbled, "Tian Jing, you’re always busy with something. You’re not just trying to slack off and have a good time in the city while we’re stuck on duty, are you?"
"I’m not slacking," Tian Jing said. "I really have something to do. I’ll be back in an hour, tops. Just cover for me, brothers. If a Steward comes to check, please have my back. When I return, drinks tonight are on me."

"Fine, get out of here. But don’t forget what you promised."
Hearing Tian Jing’s promise of free drinks, the others immediately let him go.
Nothing ever happened at the gate anyway. As long as a Steward didn’t come by for an inspection, being one man short didn’t matter.
And if a Steward did happen to show up and notice someone was missing, Tian Jing would be the one to lose contribution points, not them.
"Don’t worry, there’ll be more than enough drinks to go around tonight!" Tian Jing declared, patting his chest as he quickly exited the gate.
He had to find out why Xu Yang was still alive. Did Su Qiming fail to find him, or did Xu Yang somehow manage to kill Su Qiming?
Once outside the sect gate, Tian Jing found a deserted spot and activated his Lightweight Skill, speeding toward Cyan Yang City.
When he was about halfway there, a figure suddenly appeared on the path ahead, as if they had been waiting for him for some time.
Xu Yang!
Tian Jing’s pupils constricted violently, his heart seized by absolute terror.
’How is Xu Yang here?’
"Brother Tian, in such a rush to leave the mountain," Xu Yang said with a smile. "Are you off to deliver a message?"
