This was not her first time saying these words, but she thought that her grandfather might change his mind after witnessing Chu Feng’s recent accomplishments. Even she was shocked to see what Chu Feng had done, so surely her grandfather would feel the same.

Noticing a lack of response from her grandfather, Ling Sheng’er stepped forward.

It’s out of mercy that I didn’t take your lives. You three get lost right now. Otherwise, I’ll apprehend you and let the Mansion Master deal with you. Scram!!!” The Ling Clan’s Clan Chief roared as he tossed two Cosmos Sacks toward Ling Mo’er.

“Do you really think that your granddaughters would harm you? Have you forgotten the grace Lord Nianqing has shown you? How can you remain unmoved after witnessing Lord Nianqing’s tragic death? She had begun losing her patience after many attempts to persuade the Ling Clan’s Clan Chief had ended in futility.

“We’ll leave right now, grandfather. Please spare Lord Shuang Yu.” Ling Sheng’er hurriedly kneeled before the Ling Clan’s Clan Chief, grabbed his thighs, and pleaded.

The Ling Clan’s Clan Chief looked at his most doted granddaughter and her swollen cheek with conflicted eyes. He turned around and waved his sleeve.

“Get lost.”

Ling Sheng’er and Ling Mo’er swiftly grabbed Shuang Yu and dragged her away.

With that, the Ling Clan’s Clan Chief was the only one left on the warship.

“Sheng’er, Mo’er, I also know deep down that I’m walking down the path of doom. But the one I’m loyal to isn’t Jie Tianran but the Seven Realms Sacred Mansion. He formed a hand seal and conjured a spirit formation gate on his palm. A compass flew from the gate. A figure was moving on the compass. The figure was coming from another direction, but it appeared to be heading toward the same destination as him.

“Where is Jie Tianran heading?” The Ling Clan’s Clan Chief was confused.

He had received this compass from the previous Ling Clan’s Clan Chief. The latter had left an imprint on Jie Tianran to track his whereabouts. This matter was a secret. In the Ling Clan, he was the only one who knew about this compass.

Not even his two granddaughters knew about this.

“Does he have other arrangements?”

The Ling Clan’s Clan Chief was not certain at first, but upon confirming that Jie Tianran was heading toward the two Saint-tier elders, he slowed his footsteps. He knew that Jie Tianran was in a bad mood, and it wouldn’t be wise to appear before him right now, lest he be implicated.
