Chapter 6628: The Celestial Master Sacred Sect’s Four Elders
Chapter 6628: The Celestial Master Sacred Sect’s Four Elders
“Black hair, your earlier strike got me all pumped up. As a reward, I shall grant you the same exhilaration,” Fei said to the black-haired elder before vanishing once more.
The two Saint-tier elders felt an ominous sense of foreboding. They immediately channeled the Sacred Formation. Light enveloped their bodies, greatly boosting their fighting prowess.
When Fei reappeared, he was already standing right beside the black-haired elder. His claws shot forth to grab the latter’s head and burst it.
Despite the Sacred Formation’s buff, the black-haired elder still struggled to keep up with Fei’s movements. This made it extremely difficult for him to evade the attack, so he had no choice but to construct a barrier in front of him instead.
At the same time, the white-haired elder constructed a slaughter formation to attack Fei.
But Fei’s claws pierced right through the black-haired elder’s barrier, and he shredded it apart. The powerful barrier was as brittle as paper to him.
At the same time, he jolted his arm to exert a martial power shockwave. It neutralized the white-haired elder’s slaughter formation.
“Let’s go!”
The white-haired elder widened his eyes in fright. He immediately formed a hand seal. Teleportation energy imbued him, and he vanished into thin air.
The black-haired elder quickly did the same.
“Trying to escape? Do you think I’d let you?” Fei roared.
A green aura gushed forth from his body. It corroded everything it touched, including space. Those from the Seven Realms Sacred Mansion let out screams of agony as the green aura corroded their bodies as well.
However, the two Saint-tier elders remained nowhere to be seen.
“Shit, they got away. This paints me in a bad light,” Fei murmured.
But there was nothing he could do anymore, so he looted the battlefield with a wave of his hand. The spectators stared at him in absolute horror, unable to recover from the shock.
“You can take these. I don’t need it.”
The loot included not just treasures but the world spiritists’ origin energies as well.
Chu Feng accepted the origin energies while remarking, “Brother Fei, you have concealed your ability well.”
Fei responded with an awkward smile. It wounded his pride how he had spoken grandly but still allowed those two fellows to slip away.
“They had prepared that teleportation formation a long time ago. They could have taken everyone with them, but they panicked upon witnessing your means. They immediately chose to abandon the others and focused the teleportation energy on themselves,” Chu Feng said.
As strong as Fei was, the two Saint-tier elders weren’t pushovers, either.
While the two Saint-tier elders were indeed weaker than Fei, they weren’t so weak as to immediately fall in defeat against him. They had only fled because they were intimidated by his prowess.
“Fei, does your energy swiftly deplete in that form?” Little Fishy asked out of curiosity.
Under normal circumstances, abilities that raised one’s cultivation could only be maintained for short periods, be it her bloodline power, Chu Feng’s Lightning Armor, or even the two Saint-tier elders’ Sacred Formation.
That was why they undid those abilities as soon as the battle ended to avoid unnecessary energy consumption.
But Fei continued to maintain his monstrous beast form, showing no inclination to revert to his human boy form.
Chu Feng answered on Fei’s behalf, “If I’m not mistaken, this is Brother Fei’s true body. His human form was not just a disguise but also a limiter on his cultivation.”
In his view, it didn’t look like Fei had used any means to raise his cultivation. Rather, it felt like Fei’s base cultivation was already at rank five Heavenly God.
“Amazing, Chu Feng. You saw right through me! Yes, that boy form is a seal my master imposed on me to suppress my bloodthirst. This dashing body that you see right now is my original form,” Fei replied.
The crowd was rendered speechless. Even if they were to stretch the definition of ‘dashing’, they still wouldn’t call Fei’s current appearance that.
“Can I ask about your background?” Long Mucheng asked out of curiosity.
She had a feeling that Fei’s bloodline was much stronger than theirs, especially considering the ability he had just showcased.
“Hehe, that’s a secret. You just have to know that I am very strong,” Fei said gleefully while intentionally looking at Little Fishy.
Little Fishy smiled, and that further fanned Fei’s glee.
In truth, Little Fishy’s smile didn’t have any deeper meaning. She merely found Fei funny.
Chu Feng flew into the Seven Realms Sacred Mansion’s base and constructed a formation to examine the area. However, he still failed to find anything peculiar. In the end, he had no choice but to give up and return.
Meanwhile, the two Saint-tier elders continued to flee despite having escaped. At the same time, they used their observation means to keep track of what was happening in the Upper Realm. From that, they saw Chu Feng entering their territory together with Fei.
“That monster is in cahoots with Chu Feng?”
The two Saint-tier elders frowned.
They thought that they could make quick work of the Chu Clan Alliance now that they had activated the Sacred Formation, only to realize that they still hadn’t fully uncovered its depths. Who knew how many more secret hands the Chu Clan Alliance still had?
“With such monsters in the Chu Clan Alliance’s ranks, we’ll have to avoid clashing head-on against them. What should we do next?” the black-haired elder asked.
“We’ll follow Lord Mansion Master’s instructions and wait for reinforcements. We won’t make a move for now, but we’ll continue observing the situation and update Lord Mansion Master,” the white-haired elder replied.
Meanwhile, in the Seven Realms Galaxy, Jie Tianran followed his compass and arrived at a barren realm covered in boundless mountains.
A spatial realm was hidden here.
This spatial realm felt like it was constructed out of a single entity; be it the earth or the mountains, it felt like everything was connected. It was just not just a realm to reside in. Everything obeyed a natural cycle, and tremendous power amassed in the form of a gleaming river.
This gleaming river flowed through the mountains and converged as a golden ocean in the spatial realm’s center. Countless world spiritist treasures lay at the bottom of the golden ocean, where they were being nourished.
Not all world spiritist treasures were equal. There were golden and bronze treasures, but there were also a handful of black treasures that emanated a divine dark-red aura. These treasures absorbed the golden ocean’s fluid at a pace much faster than the other treasures.
There was a manmade island above the golden ocean, and five figures were gathered at the center of the island.
Four of them were extremely old—three men and one woman. Their backs were bent, and they relied on canes to support their bodies. They had hardly any hair left on their heads, and some of their teeth were missing as well.
But despite appearing to be on the verge of death, they were all dressed in formidable equipment. Their robes, their accessories, and even their shoes emanated divine glows, a clear sign that they were invaluable treasures.
Whether it was the effect of their treasures or their spirit power, they were all spirited despite their aged appearances.
The fifth person accompanying them was a young woman, Fu Xing.
“Fu Xing, we have to thank you for infiltrating the Seven Realms Sacred Mansion and obtaining the crucial item. Otherwise, we wouldn’t have been able to recover so quickly. After so many years of lying low, it’s finally time for our Celestial Master Sacred Sect to exact vengeance on the Seven Realms Sacred Mansion,” one of the old men said.
“Milord, I am only doing what I should.” Fu Xing bowed deeply to the old man before turning to the old woman. “Master, have you and the other three milords considered my earlier proposal to work with Chu Feng?”
