With Cheng Zongyang’s meticulous preparation, a delicious meal of four dishes and a soup was ready in half an hour.

The dining room was adjacent to the kitchen. It was originally a storeroom, but he had converted it into a comfortable dining space, making it easy to bring the food directly from the kitchen to the table.

As Lady Qin looked at the delicious-looking and fragrant dishes, she occasionally glanced at the busy Cheng Zongyang, her expression a mixture of complex emotions.

’How strange,’ Lady Qin thought. She found it incredible that she’d agreed to have a meal with a young man she’d only known for a few days. Even though it was just dinner, the atmosphere felt completely new to her, and it made her quite uncomfortable.

This black paper was made from the material of a special kind of Spirit Tree and could be used to determine the Spirit Bone Attributes contained within a person’s blood.
