The violent dragging finally came to an abrupt stop.

Devaratha slid several more feet across the forest floor before the mysterious tail loosened its grip around his ankle.

"...."

The instant he was free, he sprang backward.

His eyes rapidly swept across the surrounding flower forest.

Silence.

The towering flowers swayed gently beneath the evening breeze as though nothing had happened.

Yet every instinct within him screamed that he was not alone.

Without hesitation, he raised his right hand.

"Rudhirabhra!!!"

Golden light shimmered into existence.

Rudhirabhra materialized within his grasp.

The divine axe let out a low hum as though sensing its master’s vigilance.

Devaratha slowly shifted his stance.

"...Who’s there?"

No answer came. Only silence.

"...."

"...."

"...."

Then...

A shadow descended over him.

Devaratha didn’t hesitate.

His years under Lord Parashurama and Lord Shiva had taught him never to wait for an unseen opponent to strike first.

He pivoted on one foot and swung Rudhirabhra upward with overwhelming force.

BOOOOOOM!!

A thunderous impact echoed throughout the flower forest.

The golden edge of Rudhirabhra collided against a massive gada.

The collision generated a deafening shockwave.

The surrounding earth split apart.

Nearby trees bent violently.

Countless flower petals were hurled into the air as concentric rings of compressed wind exploded outward.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

Several sonic booms echoed one after another.

The violent air currents twisted through the forest like miniature tornadoes, uprooting shrubs and scattering leaves in every direction.

For several seconds...

Neither weapon moved.

The enormous gada effortlessly intercepted Rudhirabhra’s strike.

The face of its wielder remained hidden behind the massive mace.

Then...

A deep, amused laugh reached Devaratha’s ears.

"Hahaha..."

The sound was warm. Powerful.

Filled with unmistakable delight.

The mysterious warrior slowly pushed forward.

To Devaratha’s surprise...

Rudhirabhra, which had cleaved through armies and shattered divine barriers, was gradually being forced backward.

His eyes narrowed.

’He’s overpowering me...’

The gada continued pressing forward.

Slowly...

The face hidden behind it came into view.

First...

A powerful jaw.

Then...

A broad smile. Golden ornaments.

A face bearing the noble features of a Vanara.

A long tail swaying calmly behind him.

A pristine U-shaped tilak upon his forehead.

Brilliant blue eyes shone with boundless vitality.

For the briefest of moments...

Devaratha’s mind went completely blank.

"...Lord..."

"...Hanuman?"

His voice carried genuine astonishment.

The immortal devotee of Lord Rama.

The mighty son of Vayu. Why was he here?

Before Devaratha could ask a single question...

Hanuman’s smile widened.

"You left yourself open."

The words had barely left his lips.

His foot was already moving.

Using Devaratha’s momentary distraction, Hanuman spun with astonishing speed before delivering a powerful kick toward his chest.

It happened in less than the blink of an eye.

Devaratha’s instincts reacted automatically.

"...."

Just before the kick connected...

A brilliant golden radiance erupted across his body.

Intricate golden armor materialized over him in an instant.

Parvathi Kavach.

The divine armor bestowed upon him by his mother Goddess Parvatianswered its master’s danger without requiring conscious thought.

BOOOOM!!

Hanuman’s kick landed.

The impact shook the entire forest.

Although the Parvathi Kavach absorbed the devastating force, Devaratha was still hurled backward like a streak of golden light.

He tore through one towering tree.

Then another. Then another.

Massive trunks splintered apart one after another as he continued crashing through the forest.

Only after destroying several trees did his body finally skid across the ground before coming to a stop.

Dust rose into the air.

Broken branches rained down around him.

Meanwhile...

Hanuman performed a graceful flip through the air before landing lightly upon the forest floor.

-THUD.

The earth beneath his feet barely trembled despite his immense strength.

Resting his mighty gada casually upon his shoulder, he looked toward the long trail of shattered trees with an amused smile.

"Hmm..."

"The armor awakened on its own."

His blue eyes sparkled with interest.

"And that axe..."

"It truly suits Lord Parashurama’s disciple."

There was not the slightest trace of hostility in his expression.

Only curiosity. Only excitement.

Like an elder warrior finally meeting someone whose reputation had reached even the highest mountains.

Far away, amidst the cloud of dust...

A faint golden glow slowly began to shine once more.

Devaratha rose from the broken trees, brushing splinters from the shoulder of his divine armor.

"...."

His emerald eyes met Hanuman’s sapphire-blue gaze across the devastated stretch of forest.

Neither spoke.

For a single heartbeat...

The flower forest fell completely silent as two extraordinary beings stood facing one another beneath the evening sky.

"...."

"...."

"...."

Far across the flower forest...

Devaratha slowly straightened himself.

Fragments of broken bark slid from the golden surface of the Parvathi Kavach before the divine armor gradually faded beneath his clothes once more.

He exhaled slowly.

His emerald eyes remained fixed upon the distant figure of Hanuman, who stood calmly with his gada resting upon his shoulder.

"...Why?"

he muttered under his breath.

He could not understand it.

Lord Hanuman was revered across all the realms as the embodiment of devotion and righteousness.

There was no reason for him to attack without cause.

Yet...

There was also no sign that Hanuman intended to explain himself.

Devaratha tightened his grip around Rudhirabhra.

The silver handle hummed faintly beneath his fingers.

He glanced briefly toward Malikavana Village.

The war could begin at any moment.

Pushpasura’s army was gathering.

Every passing heartbeat mattered.

He did not have the luxury of prolonging this encounter.

Taking a slow breath, Devaratha steadied his thoughts.

’If Lord Hanuman wishes to test me... Then I must end this quickly.’

His gaze sharpened.

Without another moment’s hesitation...

He exploded forward.

BOOM!

The earth beneath his feet shattered.

His figure became a streak of gold racing through the flower forest.

Trees blurred past.

The distance between them vanished in seconds.

Hanuman watched quietly.

His smile never disappeared.

"So..."

"You got up sooner than I expected."

There was unmistakable amusement in his voice.

"And you chose to attack again."

His blue eyes gleamed.

"Good."

He adjusted the gada resting upon his shoulder.

"Let’s see what you had learned all these days."

Devaratha reached him in the blink of an eye.

Using the momentum of his charge, he planted one foot upon a massive boulder and launched himself high into the air.

The flowers beneath him bent violently from the force of the leap.

Rudhirabhra was gripped firmly in both hands.

The divine axe shone brilliantly beneath the evening sun.

At the peak of his ascent...

Devaratha twisted his body.

Then descended like a falling meteor.

The axe came crashing down in a perfect vertical arc.

"Haah!"

The air itself split apart beneath the force of the strike.

Hanuman looked upward.

Instead of moving aside...

He calmly lifted his gada.

BOOOOOOOM!!

The two divine weapons collided once again.

The impact echoed across the mountains.

A colossal crater instantly formed beneath Hanuman’s feet.

The earth collapsed inward.

Great cracks spread outward for hundreds of meters.

Ancient trees trembled violently.

Flower petals erupted into the sky like a storm.

A circular wall of compressed air burst outward from the collision, flattening everything in its path.

Yet...

Hanuman had not moved.

"...."

Not even a single step.

His feet remained planted firmly within the center of the crater.

The mighty gada rested effortlessly above his head, holding back Rudhirabhra as though it weighed nothing at all.

Devaratha’s eyes narrowed.

"...."

Even with both hands...

Even while pouring tremendous force into the strike...

Hanuman blocked it with astonishing ease.

Hanuman looked up at him with a cheerful grin.

"Excellent."

"But..."

He smiled even wider.

"...your strength is reaching the weapon."

His blue eyes met Devaratha’s.

"Not your whole body."

The words lingered in the air.

The forest fell silent once more.

"...."

"...."

"...."

Neither warrior yielded.

The divine axe pressed downward.

The celestial gada held firm.

For a single moment...

It appeared as though the entire mountain held its breath while the two titanic forces remained locked against one another.

The tremendous pressure from the clash had barely subsided.

With nothing but his overwhelming physical strength, Hanuman slowly forced Rudhirabhra aside.

His smile never left his face.

"Good..."

"But don’t become rooted."

With a powerful twist of his wrist, he swung the colossal gada toward Devaratha’s chest once again.

The weapon roared through the air.

The sheer force behind it compressed the atmosphere, producing a deafening whistle before the impact had even arrived.

This time... Devaratha was ready.

"...."

The instant the gada approached, he shifted his footing instead of trying to meet it head-on.

His body rolled beneath the incoming strike.

BOOOOM!

The gada smashed into the earth behind him.

An entire section of the flower forest exploded upward.

Massive rocks were hurled into the sky.

The ground caved in, leaving behind another enormous crater.

Before Hanuman could recover his swing...

Devaratha attacked sensing his moment.

Using the momentum from his roll, he sprang upward.

Rudhirabhra swept low across the ground, aiming directly for Hanuman’s legs.

The divine axe sliced through the flowers with frightening precision.

Hanuman’s eyes brightened.

"Oh?"

With effortless grace, the mighty Vanara simply leaped.

The golden blade passed harmlessly beneath his feet.

Yet...

Devaratha had never expected that strike to land.

The moment Rudhirabhra completed its arc...

He continued rotating.

Borrowing every ounce of momentum from the missed attack, he spun around his own axis.

The movement flowed seamlessly into a second strike.

This time...

The axe came from the opposite direction.

Its golden edge raced toward Hanuman’s exposed ribs.

The attack was so fluid that there wasn’t the slightest pause between the two swings.

Hanuman raised an eyebrow.

"...Interesting."

Instead of retreating...

He merely leaned backward.

His body bent with astonishing flexibility.

The razor-sharp edge of Rudhirabhra passed barely an inch from his chest.

SHHHHNK!

The axe sliced through empty air.

"...."

Even so...

The pressure generated by its edge alone cleanly severed several ancient trees standing hundreds of meters behind Hanuman.

For a brief moment...

Hanuman simply watched the weapon pass by.

Then a cheerful whistle escaped his lips.

"Whew..."

"What a sharp fancy axe you have."

His blue eyes followed the gleaming edge of Rudhirabhra with genuine curiosity.

"If that had connected..."

He smiled broadly.

"...even I would have preferred not to test how much it could cut."

There wasn’t a trace of mockery in his voice.

Only honest admiration.

He glanced from the axe to Devaratha.

"So this is Rudhirabhra..."

"The counterpart to lord Parashurama’s axe."

"It truly carries his style."

His smile widened further.

"But..."

His gaze became noticeably sharper.

"You’ve finally stopped relying solely on strength."

"Now you’re beginning to think while you fight."

The compliment had barely left Hanuman’s lips.

When his tail suddenly swept across the battlefield behind him.

Not as an attack.

But as a silent attempt to test whether Devaratha had become aware enough to notice every part of his opponent... not just the weapon in his hands.
