Chapter 26: Buyer

Shocked and unable to believe it, only Big Bro could still show such an expression.

The others were already sprawled helplessly on the ground.

"W-Who are you?" he asked while trembling.

Mateo chose not to answer and simply walked away.

Once the surrounding view was blocked, he immediately teleported to a distant location, appearing above an empty cave even larger than the raccoon’s cave, though it looked like it had been abandoned for a long time.

He felt somewhat uneasy, worried that those gangsters might target him in the real world.

Here, he could easily beat them up.

But in reality, he would probably be beaten black and blue if he faced them.

The problem was that someone already knew he was from Z City University.

He moved deeper into the cave, which was extremely dark while its entrance was covered by thick vines.

He could still absorb another 5,000 Spiritual Energy.

Rather than doing anything else, he chose to continue absorbing Spiritual Energy.

With the help of Spiritual Neon, he could absorb 3 points of Spiritual Energy every ten seconds.

[Magic Realm: Adept]

[Spiritual Energy: 25,000/100,000] +5,000

[Spiritual Energy Accumulation: 36,000] ×10

In less than five hours, he successfully absorbed another 5,000 Spiritual Energy, strengthening himself even further.

In the end, it all came down to accumulation.

The more Spiritual Energy he gathered, the stronger he became.

After stretching his body, he decided to leave the Magic World.

Jack was still asleep, smiling to himself in his dreams.

Mateo did not bother him. He sat on his bed and played with his new phone, opening the Magic World forum.

The very first post he saw immediately shocked him.

(Looking for A-Class Greatswords. I’ll buy them for 10K Dollars each. Need many!)

"10K..." Mateo could hardly believe it.

Were A-Class Weapons really this expensive?

He quickly searched through the pricing lists.

A-Class Weapons ranged from 7K to 10K Dollars depending on the weapon type.

Greatswords were among the more expensive ones, and daggers were the same.

Ten thousand was merely the starting price—it could go even higher through negotiation.

But what truly amazed Mateo were S-Class Weapons.

Even damaged ones could sell for 100K Dollars.

And below S-Class Weapons, there were still A+ Class Weapons worth 20K to 30K Dollars.

(Are you serious?) Mateo sent a message to the poster.

(Do you have one? An A-Class Greatsword?)

The reply came extremely quickly.

(Yeah, an A-Class one. But I want to sell it for 12K.) Mateo tried raising the price.

(Hahaha, keep dreaming!)

Mateo, "..."

He did not expect to get mocked immediately, causing him to scratch his head awkwardly.

Negotiation clearly was not as easy as he thought.

(Alright, 10K.)

He wanted the money, so naturally he did not insist further. Besides, he had no interest in using the greatsword anyway.

From his earlier conversation with Alice, Mateo already knew that delivery services existed inside the Magic World.

But how exactly did they work?

He searched the forum first.

As expected, it was something magical as well.

A major guild handled it—an original Magic World guild.

It was called the Space-Time Guild.

They could deliver any item anywhere as long as the recipient was inside a city. One only needed to provide the recipient’s location.

Either the sender or the receiver could pay the delivery fee.

They were highly trustworthy and never scammed anyone, even when transporting S-Class Weapons.

The only issue was whether the buyer would be willing to send the money first.

That was the real question.

Mateo waited for a reply, which came a little slower this time.

In matters like this, scamming someone would be incredibly easy.

Of course, Mateo had no intention of doing that.

RING!

A video call suddenly appeared on Mateo’s phone through the forum system, which allowed users to contact each other directly.

Apparently, the buyer wanted to see his face.

Mateo did not mind, so he accepted the call.

A young man appeared on the screen, perhaps only around twenty years old, sitting inside a luxurious office on a high floor.

Mateo only needed one glance at the scenery behind the man to realize he was in New York City.

The man stared at him before speaking.

"Write down your bank account number. Don’t even think about scamming me because I can find you no matter where you are!"

After saying that, he immediately hung up.

Mateo inhaled deeply.

This buyer was obviously no ordinary person.

Then again, an ordinary person could never casually buy multiple A-Class Greatswords.

(I’m currently inside a forest. Please wait until I get out first...) Mateo sent a message.

(Contact me again once you’re ready!)

The reply came instantly.

He had no choice but to return to the Magic World again.

But instead of moving immediately, he first poured more energy into the Star Wheel until its range extended all the way to Cloud Valley Town.

The distance was enormous—even by Earth’s standards, it was absurdly far.

Mateo had not expected himself to have traveled this deep already.

Yet despite the Star Wheel reaching Cloud Valley Town, he still could not sense the end of the Grass Forest.

It still felt impossibly vast.

Perhaps he had not even entered its true depths yet.

Whoosh!

He teleported.

In an instant, he appeared once again in Cloud Valley Town, near the small forest filled with skeletal pits from before.

Fiuuuh...

He let out a deep breath.

Teleporting such a long distance clearly was not without side effects.

His body felt violently shaken, leaving him slightly dizzy.

If the distance were twice as far, Mateo was not sure the effects would remain harmless.

"So where exactly is that guild branch?"

As he wondered while walking down the street, he noticed a particularly eye-catching building in the small town.

It resembled a tower with a massive clock mounted on top, and beneath it were the words Space-Time Guild.

Finding it turned out to be surprisingly easy.

He immediately walked toward the building, which appeared crowded with visitors.

(I’ve arrived in front of the Space-Time Guild Branch. Here’s my bank account number... By the way, you’re paying the delivery fee, right?) Mateo sent another message to the buyer.

His eyes widened right afterward.

In less than two seconds, money had already been transferred into his account from someone named Lancelot Grimaldi.

Mateo had no idea how the man could type that fast.

(Fallen Rose City, House Number 02299!)

The reply arrived containing nothing but an address.

Seeing that, Mateo immediately entered the building.

Inside was a long reception counter lined with receptionists handling delivery requests.

He approached a young female receptionist.

"Sir, welcome to the Space-Time Guild Branch, the place where you can send anything anywhere. May I know what you wish to send?" the receptionist greeted Mateo politely.

After hearing that, Mateo took out the greatsword.

He noticed that pulling items out from storage artifacts seemed extremely common here.

His Inventory essentially worked the same way.

Naturally, his greatsword drew attention—not only because of its massive size, but also because of its fierce aura.

Meanwhile, the receptionist remained perfectly calm.

"Please write down where you wish to send it," she said while handing him a sheet of paper.

The process was simple.

He only needed to write the address and specify who would pay the service fee.

Mateo wrote down the address he had received and selected the recipient as the one paying the fee.

The receptionist took back the paper.

Then the greatsword vanished instantly without her seemingly doing anything at all.

Mateo had no idea how it happened.

"Sir, if the recipient refuses to pay the service fee, this item will become our property. Those are the rules," she explained.

Mateo merely nodded before leaving.

The buyer had not answered earlier when Mateo asked whether he would cover the delivery fee.

Mateo decided to treat the silence as agreement.

With the additional 10K Dollars, plus the 3.3K from Alice, 1K from William, and another 500 Dollars from the university, his total savings had reached 14.7K Dollars.

Since when had he ever possessed this much money?
