Chapter 244: Time’s up
Blood flew towards the sky. Kadyn’s eyes were wide open as he stared at the figure in front of him, taking the spear attack for him. His body trembled as muttered in an agonized voice, "Cecelia..."
The attack was supposed to pierce his heart. However, at the last moment, Cecelia appeared and took the attack on herself, protecting him. He was supposed to protect her! All of her companions.
"Rubbish!" sneered as he pulled his spear out of her stomach. She vomited a mouthful of blood as her body began to plunge towards the ground. Kadyn lunged to grab her, but Sephiran curled his lips and moved towards Cecelia. He was enjoying tormenting Kadyn. He was going to tear this woman into pieces in front of Harrod.
"Chii!" However, before he could reach a piercing screech resounded and the burning sensation filled the entire sky. A ball of fire dashed towards Sephiran that he didn’t take seriously, however as the fire neared him he began to feel uncomfortable and a scorching feel all over his demonic body.
He was shocked. Therefore he hurried back and barely avoided the attack. As the fireball landed on the ground it burst toward the sky like a mushroom. For the first time after awakening from his sleep, Sephiran felt threatened. Not even Harrod could pose any threat to him.
"How dare you!" An angry roar resounded. Everyone—except Kadyn who was crouching on the ground as he hugged Cecelia—looked towards the speaker. A colossal bird that burned with fire was flapping its wings. The bird continued, "You dare to hurt Kadyn. Do you have a death wish, you lowly bug!"
Sephiran’s eyes turned cold as he looked at the bird in the sky. He felt familiar when he looked at the avian monster. However, his anger overtook his senses when he heard Alerathla’s words. He was a majestic demon. How dare a lowly animal talk to him like this?!
"If you have a death wish," said Sephiran, glaring at Alerathla. "I will fulfill your wish."
"A bug like you really thinks of yourself something, huh?" sneered Alerathla and then glided towards the demon. "I’m gonna make you into a roasted bug!"
As she said five fireballs appeared around her before they dashed toward Sephiran.
"Ahhhh!!" However, at this moment a thunderous scream echoed on the battlefield followed by a terrifying aura that turned the roaring battlefield into dead silence.

Kadyn hugged Cecelia’s lithe body which was covered in blood. Her chest had been pierced which was continuously leaking, forming a puddle under her body.
"Don’t be sad," she said. A beautiful smile appeared across her face. She lifted her hand and touched his face which was covered in dirt. However, no tear fell off his eyes. It appeared as if they had been dried. "Even with the dirt all over your face, you are as handsome as always."
"W-why did you do it?" Finally, Kadyn said in a choking voice. "Why?"
"Because I love you," she said. "I loved you ever since you accepted me for who I am. What I am."
Kadyn’s body trembled. He remembered every moment they spent together. How she never questioned his choice, no matter how dumb they were. She was always standing with him. Always. Without asking for anything in return.
"Don’t be sad," she said, still smiling as she gently caressed his face, smudging it with the blood on her fingers. "Everyone dies. What matters is how you die. I’m dying f-for yo-you." Her breathing became ragged and blood dripped from the corner of her lips. She looked at him and asked, "Can you kiss me, please?"
Kadyn looked at her with crimson eyes and lowered his head before placing his lips over hers; at that moment, the hand that was caressing his face fell limply. His body froze; he lifted his head and spotted her glassy eyes and beautiful smile. However, there was no life in those eyes. She had died.
"Ahhhh!!" He raised his head and roared, and finally tears began to fall of his eyes. He hugged her tightly and cried and cried. However, he did not realize the changes that were happening in his body. His claw began to glitter and his hair started to grow rapidly. Visible with the naked eyes.
Then his body burst with a terrifying power. It was so powerful that everyone on the battlefield felt it. His companions were happy while a visible fear appeared on his enemies’ faces. Even Sephiran who was about to fight with Alerathla felt fearful when he stared at Kadyn.
"Kill him!" shouted Sephiran anxiously. As he said he began to escape. He realized there was something very wrong with this Harrod. Just a moment ago he was not even as powerful as his old self. But suddenly he burst with such a terrifying power that he had never felt before. What the hell was this?!
However, as soon as he tried to escape, Alerathla stood in his path. "Try to run, you damn bug?" she said.
"Get away you animal!" he shouted, grasped his spear, and lunged towards Alerathla.
As they were fighting, the other blood tribe sprinted towards Kadyn. They could not go against their commander. They needed to get rid of this human that made their master so terrified.
At this moment he passed Cecelia’s body to Elora who stood just beside him. She was protecting him all this time as the battle raged throughout the city.
Kadyn hoisted his head and looked at the incoming enemies. His face was emotionless as he lifted his clawed right hand and a terrifying power released from it.
Before they could understand what was happening, they turned into dust, vanishing without a trace. It was such a shocking scene. And this place was not the only place that observed this scene.
The other gates that were protected by the Magic Council and Aleera noticed the same happening. All the blood tribe members turned to dust. They disappeared as if they were never there. Like an illusion.
"Go away, go away, go away!" shouted Sephiran with a horrifying expression as he looked at his minions dying, fading into dust. He attacked Alerathla furiously. However, the Flame Sparrow did not back down. Matching the enemy evenly.
Alerathla eyed Kadyn and her eyes shone. "Finally, he awakened the World Snatcher bloodline. No one can stop him now."
"World Snatchers?" Sephran looked even more afraid. In his tribe, he had heard about World Snatchers. The elders of his tribe had warned the blood tribe disciples to never offend a few existences. Among them, World Snatchers were at the top. So much time passed and he forgot about his elder’s warning.
After all, he was besieging the lower realm world.
Sephiran remembered something and stared at Alerathla and his eyes almost bulged out of his sockets. "You are the descendent of Everlasting Sparrow!" He remembered because in the list of most terrifying entities, Everlasting Sparrows was one of them.
"Hmph!" Alerathla snorted. "Only now you recognize me, you damn bug!?"
Finally, Sephiran knew why Alerathla called him a bug from the start. How the fuck people of two terrifying races appeared in such a low-level world? He had so many questions, but no answer.
"Well, your time’s up now," Alerathla muttered and flew away, unblocking his path. However, Sephiran did not feel an ounce of happiness.
