Chapter 1768: Chapter 1310: Piercing the Sword Maiden’s Heart
"Witch, wake up."
Diya opened her eyes in confusion and saw Sonia’s pale face, taking a second to realize what had happened—she had actually passed out!
An almost unbearable pain coursed through her limbs and bones, and it felt as if her soul was being torn apart. Her healing Wonder hadn’t had much effect, but at least it prevented the pain from hindering her movements.
What she saw was a storm of magical chaos swirling all around, and Diya’s heart sank into an icy abyss.
Firstly, a quarter of the Heavenly Kingdom had collapsed and was continuing to crumble. However, that wasn’t a big deal; after all, they hadn’t even managed the Heavenly Kingdom yet, and it could still be expanded after it collapsed.
What genuinely drove Diya to despair was the damage to the World Secret Domain.
The Ancient Battlefield was down to half its size, Wind, Flower, Snow, Moon had shrunk by a third, and although the Sky Garden hadn’t reduced in scale, one of the Eternal Wonders had completely exploded, leaving debris everywhere.
Vishi stood up shakily, clearly severely injured as well, but there was no time to tend to wounds now; she could only suppress all discomfort to regain her combat status.
Just now, they had been able to gain the upper hand in their clash with the Angels, which led Diya to believe the crisis had passed, and the worst outcome would be a standoff with the Divine Lords, which shouldn’t be too dangerous... However, once the Divine Lord made a move, it immediately shattered their defenses.
"But the gap shouldn’t be this wide..."
Diya murmured:
"They are using the same techniques as we are, and even if the amplification of the Wonders is higher, we should still be able to block it with the Secret Domain..."
"The depth is different." Vishi took a deep breath and coughed up blood. She wiped her mouth and said, "We only modify the most surface level parameters to greatly enhance the Wonders. If they have modified the underlying parameters, then their Wonders might mutate into a domain that we can’t comprehend... Only such incomprehensible chaos would make the Secret Domain completely indefensible."
From the Demigod stage onward, ’information’ becomes the most crucial factor in a mage’s offense and defense. If you can’t understand the opponent’s Magic Faction at all, you simply can’t block their Wonder. The first step in defense is cognition, like seeing an arrow and using a shield to block it; but if it’s an invisible Fate, even fully armored, you can’t protect yourself.
This is why the three Mysterious Factions are feared by all; the vast majority of mages can’t comprehend Prophecy, Truth, or Fate, and to the Mysterious Factions, mages are no different than mortals.
Their Phase Protection and Wonder defenses had just been instantly melted, not even weakened. To achieve this, it would either have to be a hundred or a thousand times stronger, or to have mutated, but in any case, the All-knowing Weavers must have modified the underlying parameters, custom-creating a Phase Secret Realm tailored for the Wonder!
Vishi guessed correctly, the Weavers without exception had significantly altered the baseline parameters of their Phase Secret Realms, even involving the four fundamental forces. They spent thousands of years, through countless trials and errors, to find the ultimate parameters that would allow the Secret Domain not to collapse immediately, while optimally enhancing their Wonders, termed "Phase Limit."
The Phase Limit is utterly impossible to initiate in the Void Realm. The natural world can’t provide an environment for the Phase Limit, but in the Seven Heavens, in their Heavenly Kingdom, the Phase Limit is the most powerful trump card.
If a Wonder is a building and the parameters are the foundation, then Sonia and her companions have a normal building with a normal foundation, in a collision against the Divine Lords’ normal building with a steel foundation. No matter how extraordinary their talent may be, which allows them to match the Divine Lords in magic, the massive discrepancy in parameter modification allows the Divine Lords to easily crush them.
But because it was so overwhelmingly destructive, there was yet another unsuitable person stepping in to stop them.
"Enough." The Imaginary Music Master raised a hand to stop the All-knowing Weaver, and said, "You have already won, there’s no need to continue."
"It’s not a victory until their Secret Domain is defeated," the All-knowing Weaver said. "As long as they can still enter the phase, they have the ability to break the Hell Seal."
"They have already seen the gap, they will abandon the idea."
"Really? Then what is she doing?"
The Imaginary Music Master looked down and saw a faint silver tint staining the chains on the Hell Seal. Noticing the attention from the Divine Lords, Weiser realized she could no longer hide. Gathering light and shaping it, holding the Silver Lamp, she raised her head defiantly, her lips tightly closed, coldly meeting the eyes of the Divine Lords.
The Imaginary Music Master remained silent for a moment, then turned to look at Sonia and the others in the final Heavenly Kingdom: "Are you still not willing to give up? Must you lose everything before accepting failure?"
Sonia opened her mouth, glanced at the trembling and terrified witch beside her, but ultimately said nothing. Vishi turned her head to look elsewhere, and there seemed to be a faint, inaudible sigh in the air.
Only Weiser continued to concentrate on the silverization of the Hell Chains, completely ignoring the sudden turn in the battle.
If the Divine Lords showed no mercy and decided to exterminate them, it would at least simplify things for Sonia, as she wouldn’t mind fighting to the death to write the end for her Mage’s Handbook. Yet among the Divine Lords, there were both those who wished to eradicate and those who wanted to preserve them, leaving Sonia to wonder if the witches were willing to fight this hopeless war with her.
Ash might be important to her, but the witches... they were also people she cared about.
Sonia reached out to draw the witch into her embrace, gently rubbing her little face, and Diya immediately calmed down, her hair color returning to purity.
