Chapter 1764: Chapter 1307: Phase Protection
In the Heavenly Kingdom of Blood Moon, an unimaginably enormous Blood Moon nearly filled the entire sky. Just a glance upwards revealed the crimson Blood Sea covering the surface of the Blood Moon, along with the mountain of corpses floating within.
All the citizens of the Kingdom of Blood Moon were kowtowing, pressing their foreheads tightly against the ground, not daring to lift their heads. Their frail souls could not bear the radiance of knowledge from the image of the "True Blood Moon," and looking directly at it would cause their souls to collapse.
Even the dozen or so Demigods in the Heavenly Kingdom of Blood Moon found it unbearably difficult. The immense pressure exuded by the True Blood Moon almost suffocated them. Yet, they were all fervently gazing at the Blood Moon, eager to feel its weight up close.
The True Blood Moon is the highest masterpiece of the Extreme Master of Blood Moon, consuming millennia of effort, far beyond what wonders and secret realms can describe. He stole the reflection of the true moon, infused it with the knowledge of necromancy, suffering, and Blood Magic, and through prolonged nurturing, successfully transformed the reflection into reality, turning counterfeit into genuineness. His ambition within the Kingdom of Blood Moon was now fully revealed—
Replace the true moon with the Blood Moon, align one’s own heart with the heavenly heart!
He intends to completely usurp the image of the moon, devour the authority of the Void Realm, break through the limits placed on the Divine Lord by Heaven, and entirely grasp the world in his hand!
Also, since the True Blood Moon integrates his knowledge, when the Demigods gaze at the Blood Moon, it’s akin to receiving personal instruction from the Extreme Master of Blood Moon, continuously absorbing his Magic Realm. These demigods from Hell had mostly exhausted their potential, making little progress in their path of magic for years. Now, facing the Blood Moon, many of their magical conundrums melted away, allowing them to gain decades or even centuries of progress within minutes.
This is the gap between angels and demigods in cultivation environments. Even if the Divine Lord does not intentionally guide the angels, if they encounter an insurmountable bottleneck in magic, a few guiding words from the Divine Lord can help the angel break through and continue on, preventing them from losing heart early and willingly accepting their limits.
But the blessing of the True Blood Moon isn’t free. Along with the knowledge flowing into their minds came the decrees of the Extreme Master of Blood Moon—
"The Sixteenth Night Battle Order"
"Hereby commanding all Blood Moon angels to join the battle, to slay the new Divine Lord attempting to unlock the apocalyptic seal."
"The miraculous battle order has been activated, all merits will be recorded, and can be exchanged in the Sixteenth Night Battle Order treasury."
"On this day, the Blood Moon descends for the Sixteenth Night."
The highest divine decree of war orders from the Heavenly Kingdom of Blood Moon, only issued during heavenly wars. Previously issued fifteen times, making this the Sixteenth Night Battle Order, marking it the sixteenth celestial war involving all participants since the birth of the Heavenly Kingdom!
Although angels are vassals of the Divine Lord, theoretically everything of an angel belongs to the Divine Lord, to stimulate the proactive force of angels, private ownership must be acknowledged, and rewards granted based on the angels’ performance. Some Divine Lords prefer to ponder rewards after the fact, but the Extreme Master of Blood Moon likes to lay everything on the table. By using the miraculous battle order to record everyone’s performance, he quantifies merits as wartime currency, and then offers a wealth of rewards to galvanize the angels into brave action.
This time in the Sixteenth Night Battle Order treasury, there are three Divine Beings. Even the Blood Moon angels who’ve followed the Extreme Master of Blood Moon for years find it hard to remain calm, not to mention the newly-joined demigods from Hell. Having lost Hell, they are divided up by the Divine Lords, becoming their angels but with a status that can’t compare to senior angels. Moreover, because of their overwhelming numbers, they lack power and resources, akin to university students devalued after an enrollment increase.
If they perform well in this Sixteenth Night Battle Order, they can gain abundant resources, earn the Extreme Master of Blood Moon’s favor, and end their probationary period early, becoming valued subordinates of the Extreme Master. In student terms, this would be like moving from a regular class to an honors class, with limitless prospects!
However, when all the angels went to war, a black-skinned necromancy demigod named Harvey remained in the Heavenly Kingdom. It’s not that he refused the Extreme Master of Blood Moon’s call, but rather the latter specifically appointed him as the kingdom’s guard, not allowing him to leave, simply waiting in place to earn abundant merit.
Coincidentally, in the Heavenly Kingdom of the All-knowing, while other angels were off to war, a blonde demigod named Igula received the special directive from the All-knowing Weaver to "oversee the operation of the Black Curtain." Although the Black Curtain was the most important Secret Realm of the Heavenly Kingdom of All-knowing, overseeing it didn’t need and shouldn’t fall upon his shoulders, a Demigod newly joined to this kingdom. His eyes flickered, but eventually, he obediently stayed within the Black Curtain, guarding the home front.
Even without Ash’s memory, the Extreme Master of Blood Moon and the All-knowing Weaver can recreate Ash’s social connections through various methods. Though Igula and Harvey also surely lost Ash’s memory, they know Lissdia, Weiser, and Vishi, so to avoid mishaps, they were simply not allowed onto the battlefield.
"This..."
Liss’s voice trembled slightly, her hair color murky and nearly black, indicating she was tangled in nerves like a knot: "Does Heaven have this many Demigods?"
Demigods from the four Heavenly Kingdoms totaled nearly a hundred. They unfolded their Void Wings at will, their gaze locking onto Sonia and her companions’ phase. Though any one of them was no match for Sonia and her companions, the formation of nearly a hundred demigods was enough to put tremendous pressure on them.
