Chapter 1762: Chapter 1305: Heavenly Phase
Ink spreads like mercury flowing.
The earth emerges from nothingness, the sky extends freely, and the curtain of void is dyed with new colors. Sonia and the others’ kingdom is like a dried jellyfish that, upon entering the heavenly curtain, expands at an unimaginable pace as if returning to the sea; if not for Sonia reining it in promptly, it might have already grown to a continental scale.
However, the newly added lands are all barren, forming a stark contrast with the uniquely characterized temples and ancient castles in the core area. They land on the ancient castle top, overlooking this fresh yet immature world, feeling less like they’ve ascended to Divine Lord and more like they’ve become a lord of poor mountains and vicious waters.
Yet the female mages cannot hide their excitement, as they keenly feel their wills can touch every corner of this realm; light, vibration, space, time, entropy increase—all parameters and all changes are vividly evident in their perception.
This is their heavenly kingdom, this is their world!
While powerful mages are often thought to be able to ’dominate the world,’ using dazzling miracles to transform the world into the shape they desire, like painting arbitrarily on paper, ultimately, they are merely using miracle as the ’brush’ to paint on the pre-determined ’canvas’ of the world.
But Sonia and the others now feel like they’ve eaten the paper, merging completely with it, not only able to graffiti on it but even change the paper’s size, hardness, and all other parameters.
The heavenly kingdom is akin to a dream they’ve constructed, a mere thought turns the world upside down, its life and death all hinge on a single thought!
No longer a fictional magic temple, nor an ungraspable reality, they’ve raised the illusory soul into a real heavenly kingdom, entered the real from the fake, blurred truth from illusion, thereby seizing the authority of the Void Realm, truly becoming ’Master’!
Dominating all tangible things, dominating all intangible truths!
The whole is one, one is the whole; they are both the mage and the world!
"The last step to entering the heavenly kingdom... has it been completed?"
Weiser, not a mage nor having heavenly kingdom authority, naturally doesn’t grasp the situation: "So simple? Without a complex ritual, without a difficult test, just entering heaven easily makes one the master of heaven?"
"I don’t understand either." Sonia is similarly bewildered, like a nervous student entering an entrance test, only to be told by the examiner that just putting on a hat grants a perfect score entrance for everyone: "Once I entered the curtain, the heavenly kingdom automatically expanded, and then I realized I could control this world... This should be entering the heavenly kingdom, right?"
"No need to worry about it too much!" Diya spun around and excitedly swims through the air, like a child playing in water, raising her fist to cheer: "As long as we’ve successfully entered heaven! We are Divine Lords!"
Vishi flicked the witch’s forehead, "Don’t rush to celebrate halfway, even if we’ve successfully entered heaven, it’s just the completion of a stage goal, the real challenge is yet to come."
"However, I probably understand why we could enter so easily." She said: "The so-called ’entering the heavenly kingdom’ probably exists in only two states ’have’ and ’have not.’ Those unqualified Divine Lords, like mud-covered commoners, can only drown clutching their small kingdoms for life, never touching heavenly authority; whereas a qualified Divine Lord, like a prince with royal inheritance, if there is still a seat in heaven, they will inevitably wear the crown and rule the limitless heavenly kingdom territories."
"Yet determining a Divine Lord’s qualification isn’t through arduous battles, nor through exhausting tests of ingenuity, it’s merely dependent on the location at their ascension."
"As long as they raise the heavenly kingdom from earth, they will inevitably enter heaven!"
This ancient mage, who had traversed for a thousand years, evaluated by Ash as having an unshakable will and an ambition as blindingly colorful as possible, when she finally obtained the long-dreamed-of power, her expression showed less joy, more the wistfulness of wish fulfillment: "Once the ascension location is chosen wrong, it can never be remedied, forever barred from heavenly rights... truly laughably simplistic."
"But does the ascension location variable have such a significant impact?"
Weiser raised the Silver Lamp, silver light illuminating the heavenly kingdom, puzzled: "After you raised the heavenly kingdom from earth, I thought some peculiar changes would occur, such as earth granting multiple blessings to the heavenly kingdom, yet no such situation unfolded... So what impact does earth’s ascension have on the heavenly kingdom? Surely there can’t be a crude rule forcibly binding earth’s ascension and entering heaven, can there?"
Vishi didn’t immediately respond, instead looking toward the Sword Maiden and the Witch: "You feel it too, right? Outside of heaven, it’s not void, nor barren, but ’empty.’"
Sonia nodded thoughtfully, Diya looked bewildered: "What’s the difference between empty and void?"
"The difference is too great. The void is just an empty space, but it still exists as space, and this space follows natural laws. In other words, the void is a ’real existing world.’ Whereas ’emptiness’ is devoid of space, lacking laws, lacking a world, it is ’non-existent emptiness.’"
"This kind of ’non-existent emptiness’, the Gospel Divine Being calls it a ’Phase.’" Vishi glanced at the Soul-locking God entwined around the Gospel Divine Being behind them and continued: "The six curtains we just saw are six Phases. Each Phase originally had no world; before we entered this curtain, nothing existed here. It’s our Heavenly Kingdom that covers this blank Phase with a layer of the real world."
"Like a layer?" Sonia asked: "A blank layer cannot have any color; one must first create a piece of white paper and then paint on it. If the white paper is the world, is the Phase the layer that can accommodate the world?"
"That’s exactly it." Vishi nodded: "This is the meaning of earthly ascension—only by raising the Heavenly Kingdom on earth can you create a piece of white paper in the Phase! If you choose to ascend elsewhere, including the Level Six of Hell we do not understand, you will inevitably lose the prerequisites of creating a piece of white paper."
"It’s the real world’s law parameters."
"Why?" Diya’s timely wisdom perfectly fulfilled the role of an audience during the discussion, asking with a tilted head: "Isn’t there real-world parameters in ascending elsewhere?"
"There indeed aren’t." Weiser muttered: "Because every layer of the Void Realm is a feast that’s already been tampered with."
"The Sea of Knowledge can enshroud all fogs, the Flowing Gold River on the Time Continent moves endlessly, the dream bubbles in the Distant Realm, the unattainable Ruby Mountain... Void Realm worlds are built on unreplicable fundamental laws; while we can copy their world parameters, we don’t have the golden fish that swallows the mist, the White Bull at the source of the Flowing Gold River, can’t create dreams, nor can we erect Ruby Mountain. In essence, using Void Realm parameters to build a world is like constructing a castle in the air; it collapses instantly!"
"Although we don’t know about Hell, the Level Six of Hell is most likely built on unreplicable fundamental laws too. Only earth possesses the cleanest world parameters, so only earth can be replicated!"
Seeing the Sword Maiden and Witch still a bit confused, Weiser thought for a moment and said: "You know that although all five countries have Light Screen devices, the operating systems of products from different countries are not the same, right? A Blood Moon chip’s operating system cannot run on a Dazzling Star bracelet because the Blood Moon System depends on the hardware on the chip, and vice versa."
"Every layer of the Void Realm is a composite system combining software and hardware, only able to operate in specific environments. If you only borrow their world parameters but lack the corresponding hardware, naturally the system can’t run. If the Divine Lord chooses to ascend in the Level Six of Hell, the hell parameters he calls on simply cannot be replicated in the Heavenly Phase!"
"Only earth’s operating system is purely software, needing no hardware dependency, able to run in any environment, which is the only world template the Divine Lord can choose!"
"Exactly so." Vishi said: "Earthly ascension’s biggest impact on the Heavenly Kingdom is synchronizing the Heavenly Kingdom with earth’s world parameters. Thus, after we enter a Phase, the Heavenly Kingdom can create ’white paper’ based on the parameters in the Phase, transforming this blank ’layer’ into our private possession."
"This is the true meaning of being master of Heaven, using the Heavenly Kingdom as a template to create our world!"
Weiser looked at the other five curtains outside the curtain: "This explains why this seat remains empty for so long, and no Divine Lord has claimed this Phase... Phases are independent, like worlds without overlap. No matter how powerful they are, they can only expand and manage their own Phase, never able to encroach upon other Phases, just like no matter how saturated the color on Layer 1 is, it cannot seep into Layer 2."
"They should be able to move between Phases at will, as long as the world parameters are correct, they can replicate their Heavenly Kingdom in any Phase." Vishi said: "Conversely, all Phases are actually the same, so there’s no need for them to move."
Becoming master of Heaven was surprisingly easy for everyone, leaving anyone else overwhelmed with emotions, yet Sonia and her companions were growing increasingly tense. Composing themselves, they exchanged a glance, silently nodding, directing their gaze along the curtain downward, straight to the deepest level of Heaven.
Unlike earth, which cannot see Heaven, looking down from Heaven allows one to see earth directly. The world carries Heaven like a cube pedestal, with six curtains wrapping the world inside, showing earth indeed lies within Heaven, belonging to its deepest layer.
When Sonia and her companions tried to touch earth, chains crisscrossed surfaced across earth’s surface, extending upward from below, as if something below was binding earth.
At this point, Vishi muffled a groan, bleeding from seven apertures as her soul trembled, the Gospel Divine Being behind her also issuing a grievous wail from the pressure of the Soul-locking God. Raising her hand to indicate she was fine, she wiped the blood away and said: "Even ’Recognize the Time’ cannot trace the origin of these chains, merely trying to trace them caused backlash... indicating what’s blocking the chain information is power beyond the Six-winged!"
"Currently, the only forbidden information in this world that leaves me clueless is the Level Six of Hell, and Ash within it." Vishi confidently said: "These chains are the manifestation of the Level Six of Hell!"
"As we’ve analyzed." Weiser calmly said: "Heaven and Hell are like two interlocking paper clips, the overlapping region of Heaven’s deepest layer with Hell’s highest layer is earth. Earth’s age might be far younger than we imagine."
"How do we enter Hell?" Diya asked urgently: "With earth blocking us, we still can’t enter Hell!"
"Then pierce through earth." Sonia suddenly said.
