Chapter 287: Witches!

The moment Sabrina said that single word, "Several." the atmosphere within the administrative chamber shifted completely.

The relaxed calm from breakfast vanished from Jax almost instantly.

His golden eyes sharpened as he stepped further into the room, the floating magical projections reflecting faintly across his glasses.

Around them, the administrative wing continued operating at full speed. Advisors moved between departments, messengers carried enchanted scrolls, and magical interfaces updated troop deployments and supply lines in real time.

Yet despite all of that activity, Sabrina remained the center of it all as she continued her work.

The succubus administrator flicked her fingers once, causing several glowing documents to reorganize themselves in the air around her.

"Which problem do you want first?" she asked calmly.

Jax crossed his arms lightly.

"The important one."

Sabrina’s expression flattened slightly.

"They’re all important."

"Then start talking."

She exhaled softly through her nose before gesturing toward one of the floating projections. The image shifted instantly and a map appeared.

More specifically, a map of the Lumeria Kingdom’s outer territories. Several glowing red markers pulsed across various regions.

Jax’s eyes narrowed immediately.

"...More camps."

Sabrina nodded once.

"Yes."

The room around them dimmed slightly as the magical projection expanded.

"We finished analyzing the data recovered from the facility you destroyed yesterday," Sabrina explained.

"Combined with old disappearance reports, trade irregularities, mana transportation patterns, and intercepted Church communications..."

Another series of locations appeared across the map.

"...we found more."

Jax stared at the projection silently.

There weren’t just one or two. There were dozens. Some small and some enormous. Some hidden deep within isolated territory and others disturbingly close to populated regions.

Sabrina’s voice remained calm, but colder now.

"The Church has been running a far larger operation than we initially estimated."

Jax’s gaze darkened.

"...How long?"

"We’re still determining that."

Another screen opened beside the first.

"However, based on current evidence..."

Sabrina paused briefly, "...some of these facilities may have existed for years or even decades,"

Silence settled heavily across the chamber. Jax’s fingers tapped once against his arm as he thought, and the pressure in the room increased.

Several nearby attendants instinctively stiffened as Jax’s aura dropped another degree.

Sabrina noticed immediately.

"...Jax."

"Send the military," Jax responded.

Sabrina blinked once.

"Directly?"

Jax looked at her and nodded, "Every confirmed location."

His golden eyes gleamed faintly now, "I want them dismantled."

Sabrina studied him for a second.

"...Full assault authorization?"

"Yeah."

There wasn’t even the slightest hesitation.

"No negotiations."

The room grew colder.

"Anyone participating in those operations dies."

Several nearby personnel visibly swallowed, not because they disagreed, but because of how absolute Jax sounded.

Sabrina, however, simply nodded.

"Understood."

Her fingers moved rapidly through the floating interfaces.

"Which commanders?"

Jax answered immediately.

"Orianna."

That got a visible reaction from several nearby officials.

Even Sabrina’s eyebrow lifted slightly.

"...You want her personally involved?"

Jax nodded once, "She’ll love to lead this mission herself,"

Sabrina nodded once more, "I’ll mobilize immediately."

Several military deployment screens activated at once around her. Orders began flowing through the palace network instantly. Strike forces, teleportation routes and extraction teams.

There were also healers and containment specialists. Everything moved rapidly into motion.

Jax watched silently for several moments before finally speaking again.

"Prioritize rescues first."

Sabrina glanced at him.

"Of course."

"I want survivors stabilized before anything else."

Another nod.

"That’s already been integrated into the operation structure."

Jax exhaled softly.

Then Sabrina’s expression shifted slightly.

"...There’s something else."

Jax immediately noticed the difference in her tone.

His eyes narrowed.

"What?"

Sabrina waved her hand once. Several military projections vanished, replaced by an entirely different magical interface.

This one pulsed with strange violet energy and Jax recognized it immediately.

"...Witch magic."

Sabrina nodded.

"You’ve been receiving repeated summons requests."

Jax blinked once.

"From Willow?"

"Not just Willow, all the Witches have been calling for you. They’ve contacted us five times since yesterday."

That immediately caught his attention.

"Five?"

"Yes."

Her expression remained calm.

"And every request specifically asked for you."

Jax went quiet as he thought, wondering if something went wrong with Willow and the witches that they’d call for him so hurriedly.

"So what’s the move?" Sabrina asked.

Jax answered immediately.

"I’m going to the Witch Dimension."

There was no hesitation in his voice. Sabrina nodded once, unsurprised, "I figured."

Jax glanced toward the military deployment screens again.

"Orianna handles the camps."

"She already accepted the orders," Sabrina replied.

That earned the faintest smirk from him.

"Fast."

"She sounded excited."

"...Of course she did."

Sabrina actually looked mildly amused at that.

Then her expression settled again.

"What about the Merfolk?"

Jax thought briefly.

"They stay here until stable."

"And Princess Seraphina?"

His eyes flickered slightly at the mention of her.

"...Keep extra security around her."

Sabrina’s gaze sharpened.

"You think the Church might try again?"

"I think if they were willing to attack the Mermaid Kingdom once..."

His voice grew colder.

"...they’ll do it again."

Especially if the Princess truly possessed divine blood valuable enough to harvest. That made her a target, a very important target.

Sabrina nodded slowly.

"I’ll personally oversee palace security adjustments."

"Good."

Silence followed briefly afterward.

Then Sabrina tilted her head slightly.

"...You know she’s probably going to panic when she realizes you disappeared again."

Jax blinked once.

"...Right."

He hadn’t actually considered that part.

Sabrina looked faintly entertained now, "She’s very attached."

"I noticed." Jax said with a laugh, "I guess I’ll figure something out. If anything, I can always just bring her with me, she won’t be in any danger alongside me,"

"Makes sense, Bring Serika with you if you do that to take care of her in case anything happens," Sabrina said and Jax nodded.

"Is that all?" Jax asked, looking at the various screens, the maps of all the camps from the Church and the various military groups getting ready for deployment.

"For the time being, yes. I’ll keep you updated on everything, so you can go do whatever you want," Sabrina said.

"Thanks," Jax said with a nod, and disappeared, teleporting back towards the Demon Palace to meet with Seraphina and Serika.
