Chapter 260: See You Later
Knock.
Knock.
Knock.
The door opened and James stepped in carrying a small notepad, his striped shirt still neat, his tie still slightly off center.
He looked up from the notepad and stopped walking.
Liam was sitting behind his desk in his chair, his elbows on the armrests, his hands loosely folded in front of him, looking completely settled.
Elsa was sitting on the chair on the other side of the desk, her legs crossed, her back straight, her silver-white hair still mostly in order.
She looked like she had been sitting there having a professional discussion for the last twenty minutes.
What she was not wearing was anything under her skirt. The skirt itself was back in place but what had been under it was on the floor somewhere behind the desk.
What Liam was not wearing was his trousers or his boxers. Both were somewhere under the desk.
His shirt was buttoned and his jacket was on and from the front everything looked entirely normal.
Below the desk was a different situation entirely but James was standing at the door and could not see below the desk.
James looked between them.
Then he looked at his notepad.
"There’s a call that came in for you," he said, directing it at Elsa. "I’ve had them waiting for a while already."
Elsa looked at him. "Tell them I’ll call back. I’ll sort it myself."
"But they said it was—"
"James," she said. Her voice didn’t rise. It didn’t need to. "Leave. I’ll handle it."
Embrassment and frustration arrived on his face at the same time, neither one winning, his jaw tightening as he stood there holding his notepad with nowhere useful to put either feeling.
"James," she said, turning from her chair to face him fully where he was still standing in the doorway. "What are you waiting for. Do you want to tell me who’s in charge here."
He looked up at her.
His jaw was working without his mouth opening, his eyes carrying something that had decided not to become words.
"I’m sorry," he said. "I’m leaving now."
He looked at Liam.
Two seconds. Specific and loaded and entirely silent. Then he turned, pulled the door shut behind him, and the sound of it closing sat in the office.
*Bam!*
Liam looked at the closed door. "You don’t have to be that strict with him."
"That’s the first time he’s done something like that," Elsa said. "Better to make it clear early."
"I think he likes you," Liam said.
She looked at him.
He had the smile. The specific one.
"He doesn’t," she said.
"He might."
"It’s impossible, he can’t be having things like that from his employer." She paused. "Right?"
"You’re literally doing the same thing with me," Liam said. "Having feelings for your boss. Currently not wearing everything you came in with. In his office."
She raised one eyebrow. "Partners," she said. "You meant partners."
He scratched the back of his head. "Of course. But technically I’m still something of a boss."
"Doesn’t count," she said. "I was already doing this with you before you became my boss."
"You also have a great ass," he said. "Which I don’t think I’ve officially said before. So. Officially. Great ass. And that’s exactly why I hired you," he said, still smiling.
She stared at him. "So that was the reason."
Liam nods his head in agreement.
She looked at him for a moment.
Then she stood from her chair and came around the side of the desk and sat on the edge of it directly in front of him.
She spread her legs, the skirt riding up, her pussy right there, still visibly wet, her eyes on his face.
"What other part of me qualifies?" she said.
Liam looked at her sitting there on the edge of his desk with her legs open, the office light catching her silver-white hair, and leaned forward without answering.
He pressed his mouth against her.
"Oh," she said, her hands going to the back of his head immediately, fingers pressing into his hair.
He started slow.
His tongue pressing flat against her, long strokes from bottom to top, learning the specific geography of her reaction before committing to anything.
Her breathing changed in the first thirty seconds and her grip in his hair tightened to match it.
He found the specific spot that made her hips roll forward and stayed on it, his tongue moving in slow circles, feeling every small shift in her body as information.
"Mm," she said. "Oh god."
He pressed slightly firmer and her whole body shifted forward on the desk edge, her weight coming toward him, her thighs pressing against his hands from either side. He spread them back open and kept his tongue exactly where it was.
"Oh," she said. "Right there. Don’t move."
He didn’t move.
He kept his tongue on the same point, the same pressure, the same pace, and felt her build around it steadily, her sounds becoming less managed as the minutes passed.
"Liam," she said. "Oh. Oh god."
Her hands were pressing hard into the back of his head now, her hips working slowly against his mouth, her breathing coming in short uneven pulls.
"Mm," she said. "Oh. Oh I’m going to."
He pressed slightly harder and stayed there.
She came against his mouth, her thighs clamping against his hands, her grip in his hair pulling tight, a long sound leaving her that she made no effort to keep quiet.
Her whole body shook through it, her hips pressing forward and holding, the release moving through her in slow continuous waves until she was still and breathing hard.
He pulled back and looked up at her.
She was looking down at him, chest heaving, lips parted, her silver-white hair slightly undone from everything.
"Ready?" he said.
"Yes," she said.
He stood.
He reached for her blouse and worked the buttons from the top down, each one coming loose cleanly, the fabric parting to show the skin beneath.
He pushed it off her shoulders and it dropped somewhere. Her bra came next, the clasp giving easily, and when it came free her boobs fell forward, round and warm in the office light, her nipples hard.
He pushed her skirt up around her waist and she shifted her weight to help him.
He positioned himself and pushed in slowly.
"Oh," she said, her hands finding his shoulders.
He started with long deep strokes, his hands on her waist, feeling the angle of this position which was entirely different from the desk behind. Her legs wrapped around him and pulled him deeper on each forward stroke.
"Mm," she said. "Oh that’s good."
He drove deeper.
"Oh god," she said.
He kept the pace steady, building it gradually, her boobs moving with every thrust, swaying forward when he drove in and pulling back when he withdrew. She leaned back slightly on one hand to brace herself and the change in angle made her make a sound that was sharp and immediate.
"Oh," she said. "Oh right there."
He kept that angle and picked up the pace.
"Oh," she said. "Oh Liam. Oh god."
Her boobs moved freely now, swaying continuously with the rhythm, her free hand gripping his arm, her whole body absorbing each stroke and pushing back for the next.
"Mm," she said. "Oh. Oh I’m close again."
He drove harder, his hands pulling her waist toward him, the desk creaking slightly beneath her.
"Oh," she said. "Oh god. Right there. Right there don’t."
He kept right there.
"Liam," she said. "Liam. Oh."
She came, her legs pulling him in and holding, her whole body shaking, a long broken sound filling the office. He drove forward once more and held there as everything released at once, his jaw tight, a rough sound leaving him through his teeth.
They stayed still for a moment. Just their breathing in the quiet office.
Then they started getting dressed. Quiet and unhurried. She buttoned her blouse while he found his trousers under the desk. She smoothed her skirt while he put his jacket on. She fixed her hair in the dark reflection of the window while he straightened his collar.
When they both looked like themselves they walked out of the office together.
"I have to go see someone," Liam said, patting the top of her head once.
She looked up at him. "Come back soon," she said.
He turned to go. Then stopped.
James was at his desk, eyes on his screen, posture extremely focused on whatever was in front of him. Liam walked over and extended his hand.
James looked at the hand. Then at Liam. He shook it, his grip firm, his jaw tight.
"Welcome," Liam said. "The work you’ve been doing here is solid. Genuinely."
James looked at him for a moment.
"Lucky bastard," he said. Low and even, with something sitting just underneath it that had decided to stay there rather than come out.
Liam smiled.
"Keep up the great work," he said, and walked out.
