Chapter 240: Kelvin’s Invitation

The door opened and Liam walked in breathing harder than he wanted to be.

Every head in the room turned.

Twenty something faces, all of them finding him at once, standing in the doorway with his bag on one shoulder and his chest still moving and whatever was left of Silent Stride fading out of his legs.

Miss Kelly looked at him from the front.

She had the particular stillness of someone who had been expecting this and had decided in advance how it was going to go.

Liam walked to the front and stood there and caught his breath for one second.

"Sorry Miss Kelly," he said. "My alarm didn’t go off again. I promise this is the last time."

She looked at him the way she looked at things she had heard before. Not angry exactly. Something more controlled than angry. The whole class was in the silence with them.

"Come and see me in my office after class," she said. "Sorry won’t do today."

"Yes Miss Kelly."

"Sit down."

He sat.

He dropped into the seat beside Kelvin and put his bag on the floor and exhaled slowly.

’I didn’t mean for this to happen,’ he thought, pulling out his notebook. ’Clara and I just lost track of time completely. Then I had to use Silent Stride the whole way here just to make the second half of the lesson.’

He glanced at Kelvin.

Kelvin’s head was down.

Not in his book. Just down, his chin somewhere near his chest, his pen sitting on the desk untouched.

Liam tilted his head toward him. "What’s wrong with you?"

Kelvin didn’t look up immediately. "My dad wants me to follow him on a business trip tomorrow."

"Ohh." Liam looked at him. "I see why you’re not happy."

"Yeah." Kelvin stared at his desk. "I don’t feel like going. It’s always so boring man. The whole thing."

"At least you get to travel and miss class though." Liam let the smirk come. "I know you like that part."

Kelvin lifted his head and looked at him. "Yeah I do," he said. "And it’s not like I don’t like any of it it’s just that my dad has a way of making it—" He stopped. Looked at the front of the class and then back at his desk. "Don’t worry about it."

"Sorry bro," Liam said. "I wish I could tag along but I don’t think—"

Kelvin’s head came up.

His eyes went bright in the specific way they went bright when something landed in his head and connected to something else.

He looked at Liam like Liam had just solved a problem without knowing there was one.

"That’s a great idea," Kelvin said.

Liam raised an eyebrow. "What is."

"You coming with me."

"I was just saying I don’t think I can—"

"Nah nah listen." Kelvin turned in his seat properly. "I tell my dad I want to bring someone he’ll say yes. He knows i don’t want to tag along so if i make a demand like that knowing I’ll have to go without complaining, he’ll cool with it." He nodded. "We’re set."

"You sure he’d actually say yes?"

"If it’s just me asking to bring along a friend? Easy." The flatness from a few minutes ago was completely gone, replaced by something that had direction in it. "Just say yes man."

Liam looked at the board for a second.

"Okay," he said.

"Yeah?"

"Yeah."

Kelvin picked up his pen and actually looked at the board for the first time since Liam had sat down. "Tell Miss Kelly when you go see her later. Get it sorted properly."

Liam looked at the front of the class where Miss Kelly was writing something, her back to them, her handwriting precise and even across the board.

"That’ll be a simple conversation," he said. "I have to go there anyway."

Kelvin glanced at him sideways. "Alright man."

"Yeah," Liam said.

---

"Ah—"

The sound filled the office.

"Ahh— Liam—"

Miss Kelly was on her desk.

Her white blouse was completely unbuttoned and hanging open on both sides, her bra pushed up above her boobs rather than off, the full weight of them free and moving with every thrust.

Her skirt was pushed up around her waist.

Her heels were still on.

One hand was gripping the edge of the desk behind her and the other was pressed flat against the surface beside her, the papers that had been on the desk relocated to the floor at some point in the recent past.

Liam was between her legs.

His hands were spread across her hips, holding her at the angle he needed, each stroke deliberate and deep, the sound of it filling the small office, the desk shifting by a fraction with every thrust.

Ta. Ta. Ta. Ta.

"Ah— mm— Liam—"

Her boobs moved with every stroke.

Forward on each thrust, pulling back as he withdrew, the motion continuous and heavy, her nipples hard and dark.

Her head had dropped back slightly, her blonde hair coming loose from where it had been, falling around her face and across the desk surface behind her.

He drove forward harder.

"Oh—" The word broke into something that wasn’t a word. Her hand on the desk slapped flat against the surface and she pressed her other hand to her mouth.

He looked at her hand over her mouth.

"Same as always," he said.

She looked at him over her hand with wide eyes and he drove forward again and the sound that came through her palm this time was considerably less contained than she had intended.

He kept the pace.

Ta. Ta. Ta. Ta. Ta.

Her legs were hooked around his hips, her heels pressing into the backs of his thighs, pulling him in on each stroke.

Her boobs swayed with the continuous rhythm, the weight of them shifting, the skin of them flushed pink from the heat of the room and everything else.

"Mm— ah— don’t stop—"

He pushed her leg up slightly, changing the angle, and she made a sound that she caught with both hands this time, pressing them flat over her mouth, her eyes going wide and then closing.

"Oh god— right there— mm—"

Ta. Ta. Ta. Ta.

He stayed at that angle. Working steadily, feeling her respond to every variation, her sounds coming through her hands in muffled continuous waves.

"Liam— mm— I’m—"

He drove forward.

She came.

Her hands pressed harder over her mouth, her whole body locking, her legs pulling him in as deep as he could go and holding him there, the sound coming through her palms long and broken and thoroughly muffled by the effort she was putting into containing it.

Her boobs pressed against him as she arched forward, soft and warm and pushed flat against his chest through the last waves of it.

He held her through all of it.

When it passed she dropped back against the desk slowly, her hands falling from her mouth, her chest heaving, her hair thoroughly across the desk around her head. She looked at the ceiling for a moment.

Then at him.

"You’re going to get me fired one day," she said. Her voice was completely wrecked.

"No I’m not," he said.

She looked at him. "How do you know that."

"Because you’re very professional," he said. "Except between three thirty and four fifteen."

She pressed her lips together and looked at the ceiling again.

He straightened up and fixed himself and found her a tissue from the box that had survived the desk situation and handed it to her.

She sat up slowly and started putting herself back together, rebuttoning the blouse from the bottom up with practiced efficiency.

He sat on the edge of the desk in front of hers and watched her.

"I’m going away for a bit," he said.

Her hands paused on the third button. Then continued. "Where?"

He paused. "I actually forgot to ask."

She stopped buttoning and looked at him.

"It’s with Kelvin," he said. "His dad’s doing a business trip. Kelvin asked me to come."

She finished the last button and straightened the collar and looked at him properly. "How long?"

"On a normal one, about a week," he said. "Sometimes Kelvin’s gone longer when he follows his dad. I think the longest I’ve seen was about a month but I’m hoping it doesn’t go that long."

She was quiet for a moment.

She reached up and fixed her hair, working it back into place with the focused attention of someone restoring something to its proper state.

Then she stood up and came around the desk and kissed him.

Not brief.

Both hands on his face, her mouth on his, the kind of kiss that had something sitting behind it that wasn’t going to be said out loud.

He kissed her back and his hand found her waist.

She pulled back and looked at him from close range.

"Stay safe," she said.

"I will," he said.

She looked at him for one more second. Then she kissed him again, shorter this time, just a moment, and stepped back.

He looked at her standing there in the afternoon light coming through the office window, her blouse back in order, her hair back in place, her expression carrying something that she had decided not to put words to.

"I’ll be back before you know it," he said.

She looked at him with the expression she had when she was deciding whether to say something.

She decided not to.

"Go," she said.

He picked up his bag from the floor and went.
