Chapter 57: Serenia Aftermaths are Wilder

The party was supposed to last only one day, from what I understood, but as I

was looking out of the window, I saw a bumbling old man walk out and drink a

fresh glass of mead.

It continues? It definitely continues.

I let the curtains go and went back inside the room. It was a hotel room. My

shirt was splayed out on one side. On the bed, Weiss was asleep.

We surely hadn’t done anything. Not drunk, yeah? She was sleeping rather

peacefully, so I let her be, put on a shirt, and went downstairs.

Even the lobby and the reception of the hotel were filled with people who were

passed out drunk. There was one lady at the reception, a young girl. She saw me

and straightened her back quickly.

"H-hello!" she said. "I am sorry, breakfast services..."

"Hey, that’s okay." I waved my hand. "Can you tell me if two beastkin children

also checked in with us?"

"Beastkin... ah, yes. Last night they did." She nodded. "They are on the first

floor, room 106."

"Right. And... actually, do you mind if I make some of that breakfast myself?"

"H-heh!"

"Let the cook rest, too? You can watch over me if you’d like."

The receptionist, probably the owner’s daughter, shrugged. She looked down on

the ground where a bunch of men were lying down. Was one of them the chef?

Probably a parent, too.

With that, I went with her to the kitchen, made some great eggs and toast, and

squeezed out orange juice alongside some other dishes for the kids, myself, and

Weiss. Then, I went and placed the tray of food outside the kids’ door, and went

up once more.

When I opened the door to our room, Weiss was sitting up. The blanket covered up

her upper body, showing a bit of her neck and a slight line of her cleavage. Her

hair was a mess. She turned to me and yawned.

"Butler? Where were you?"

"I brought you breakfast... Move your leg a bit."

She scooted to one side as I placed the tray of food on the table and climbed

onto the bed, too, my body almost over her. Our eyes met.

Her breath smelled of alcohol, still, and mine did, too, probably.

"I like this place," she said. "This city."

I gently placed a strand of her hair behind her ear, my thumb grazing her cheek.

"It’s a nice place. Warm."

"Quite warm," she agreed. Her hand wrapped around my neck and she pulled me in

closer.

I placed a hand on her waist, not to mess with the food. We both leaned in and

met our lips together again. Slowly, softly, the sensation of her lips falling

on mine.

We were like teenagers who had just discovered kissing. It was soft and quite

reserved, and Weiss’ breath hitched in every second of it.

I moved my hand down, over the soft, thin sheet, on her thighs, between, closer,

bringing my hand to her inner thigh when she opened her mouth and leaned back,

her cheeks flushed red.

Both our mouths were running dry. I could feel heat in my lower half. Sex was

not much, but somehow this was making me more turned on.

What in the world was this?

"Let’s eat," I said. She nodded, but as soon as she was about to reach for the

tray of food, I pulled her face up and kissed her again.

"Mmmmmn"

A soft moan left her, a humming sound of bliss. It made me kiss her deeper and

made her move her tongue more. She touched my back, underneath my shirt, and I

kept my hand on her thigh and near her stomach.

Like that, we kissed for another 20 minutes. I felt almost ashamed for only

having gone that far, but even so, it felt quite nice. Beautifully nice.

"Want me to roll a joint?" I asked.

"For breakfast? Fuck yeah."

Debauched. Was that how we were?

Perhaps so. We got on with our smoke, and I let Weiss take a bath while I went

downstairs again. I opened the door to 106, sliding the tray inside this time.

"Hey, brats, get up."

"Ummm?" "Nng, another 10 minutes..." "..."

The gnome was there, too. The three were splayed out on the bed, hitting each

other here and there. I lifted the gnome up and tossed it onto Treska.

The boy somehow immediately raised his hand and held the gnome golem before it

could hit him.

"Oh!? Oh... Sir Phantom. I mean, Sir Axel."

Yup. It was important to stick with that name.

Honestly, I wondered if I would run into Nea again. It would be difficult to

explain myself, and knowing her was without a doubt in my favor. Many thoughts

were going on in my mind.

Even if we were enjoying ourselves in this city, it wouldn’t take long before it

would become our enemy. Yesterday, too, quite a lot of people told us about how

the CEF was beaten down by the Witch Queen and how the Grim Palace might be

real.

Who would tell them that they were drinking and playing arm-wrestling with the

very Witch Queen of that same palace they were scared of?

Hah...

"Get ready. We’ll be going out and getting all our items today. We’d better

leave the city by tomorrow evening."

"Ah... alright."

"There’s breakfast, okay?"

We had already delayed our plan by another day, so it was okay. All of us

quickly got ready and assembled again in the lobby of the hotel. The number of

people down on the ground had reduced tremendously as the drunkards started

getting up and drinking again.

While Weiss and I were waiting for the two kids, the other patrons of the hotel

passed us by.

Oddly enough, every one of them saw us and waved at us.

"Oh! Hello Miss Weiss."

"H-hello...?"

"Ayy. Axel! What a party yesterday, huh? Will you drink with us again?"

"No can do, Maurice. I have to work."

Weiss turned to me.

"Why is everyone greeting us?" she asked.

"Yes, I am also confused. I am more confused about why you are greeting them

back by name."

I shrugged. I remembered it all, of course.

The kids came soon, and we all stepped out. Even outside, the people who saw us

stopped, turned, and made sure to say hi to either Weiss or me.

Before we knew it—no, actually, it was all due to her.

Before we knew it, Weiss had become a kind of celebrity in Serenia.
