All she hoped for now was for the doctor to arrive quickly, for Alvin to be okay!

The doctor’s orderly instructions were quite reassuring.

Soon Alvin was lifted onto a stretcher, fitted with an oxygen mask, and ready to be carried onto the ambulance.

Nangong Lin became a little anxious and quickly asked, "Doctor, how is he?"

"It is impossible to determine accurately at the moment. We need to go back to the hospital for further examination." The doctor replied briefly, quickly signaling to the nurses to carry Alvin out.

"Who is his family?" the doctor asked.

"Me! It’s me, I’m his girlfriend!"

Nangong Lin hurried forward, "Whatever needs to be said, you can tell me."

"Okay." The doctor nodded, "Then you’ll come with us to the hospital."

"And me!" John hurriedly followed!

"I’ll go too," Guagua added anxiously, "more people can help handle things, in case there’s any need to run errands."

That made sense too. Going to the hospital, there are many things to do; indeed, having more hands is more convenient.

"Then I’ll go too; Alvin was injured saving me!" Zheng Huayu said with teary eyes.

"Go ahead." Nangong Lin nodded; the tears on her face had already dried, and she didn’t say much more, hurriedly following the doctors and nurses out.

As she rushed out, she left a remark for Director Liu, "Don’t let the news of Alvin’s injury spread for now, to avoid unnecessary concern from the fans. Also, why did the explosive detonate early? Investigate it and let me know!"

"Yes, I understand," Director Liu answered hastily.

Nangong Lin, John, Guagua, and Zheng Huayu followed the ambulance, which swiftly headed towards the hospital, blaring its siren.

The car was silent, particularly silent, as if no one dared to say a word.

The only sound was the hiss of the oxygen tank and the beeping of Alvin’s heart monitor.

Nangong Lin watched the heart monitor without blinking, fearing that something bad might happen the moment she took her eyes away.

The nurse was giving Alvin an injection and setting up an IV, but she didn’t know what was being administered.

All she saw was the sharp needle slowly piercing Alvin’s skin, the blood flowing back, bright red.

Yet Alvin remained quietly with his eyes closed; if not for his overly pale face, one might think he was just sleeping.

Her eyes stung sharply, and tears rolled out without her even realizing it.

"Alvin..." Nangong Lin tremblingly caressed his face, struggling to choke out, "It’s okay, you’ll be okay."
