When they finally came out of the room, it was already past four in the afternoon.
Lou Xining had already chosen the jade by himself outside and had chatted with Shang Dongyuan for a long time. He was so bored he was about to go crazy before his wife finally came out.
As soon as the door opened, Lou Xining rushed over, wrapped his arm around Alan’s shoulder, and asked gently, "Lan’er, are you okay? You’ve been crying? Your eyes are swollen!"
Next to them, Chu Xiaoge watched Lou Xining’s concerned look towards Alan and felt genuinely happy for her.

She was always kind of scared of him.
When Alan turned around, she happened to notice this scene.
With her delicate brows raised slightly, Alan’s sixth sense told her that there was something unusual about the atmosphere between Shang Dongyuan and Chu Xiaoge.
After catching up, Lou Xining had some matters to attend to and had to leave. Alan needed to pick up her son from kindergarten, but she didn’t want to part with Chu Xiaoge, so she dragged her along.
Shang Dongyuan didn’t follow them, but he did arrange a car to take Chu Xiaoge.
Alan immediately waved her hand, "No need, Xiao Ge can ride with me!"
Chu Xiaoge nodded and looked at Shang Dongyuan with a hint of pleading in her eyes.
Shang Dongyuan glanced at her, his gaze deepening a bit, then he leaned in close to Chu Xiaoge and whispered, "You go pick up Chuchu, and come with me somewhere this evening."
With that, he turned and left with Lou Xining.
Alan didn’t hear what Shang Dongyuan had whispered to Chu Xiaoge and quickly leaned in to question Chu Xiaoge, "What did he just say to you? All mysterious like?"
"It’s nothing, it’s nothing..." Chu Xiaoge quickly shook her head, her ears turning slightly red, "Just let his car follow us."
"Alright then." Alan pouted, feeling a bit disappointed, but still pulled Chu Xiaoge into the car with her.
In the car, the two of them chatted about a lot of things from their school days, and couldn’t help but feel emotional. Time had really flown by... so many years had passed.
Happy times always slip away unnoticed.
In the blink of an eye, they arrived at the school.
This was the largest and most well-known international bilingual kindergarten in A City.
It happened to be the end of the school day. As soon as Alan walked over, a teacher led a cute little boy towards them.
"Mrs. Lou, here to pick up Little Jingxing?" The teacher greeted Alan warmly.
"Yes!" Alan nodded and squatted down to skillfully pick up the handsome little boy in suspenders, "Baby, were you good today?"
"Yes!" The little boy giggled and hugged Alan’s neck tightly, looking very happy.
Chu Xiaoge looked at the little boy and couldn’t help but reach out to touch his chubby little arm, "Alan, is this your son? He’s so cute!"
"Yes, he’s three and a half. His name is Lou Jingxing!" Alan said, and then pointed to Chu Xiaoge to teach Jingxing, "Look, this is your godmother! Whatever you want, let your godmother buy it for you!"
