Chapter 2302: True way

...It’s time for the Spearhead to be sharpened once again. Robin approached Renara with a broad smile, his expression carrying a trace of anticipation.

"...?" Glatheon and Richard stepped forward as well, quietly watching Robin slowly circle around Renara with his hands clasped behind his back, carefully observing her from every angle without uttering another word.

"Is she breaking through or something?" Richard asked after watching her for several moments. "Her level of concentration is incredibly deep, she can’t be possibly sense that You are here and stay sitting like that, a random mortal can dance above her head in this state!"

Someone with her level of strength should have sensed us the moment the portal opened. Yet we’re standing here talking right beside her now, and Father is even walking circles around her without making the slightest effort to hide his presence... and still, she hasn’t shown the slightest reaction.

"She’s already at the peak of the Nexus State. What exactly would she be breaking through to?" Glatheon shook his head. "I can’t sense the Laws resonating with her either. She’s simply immersed in an extraordinarily deep state of meditation."

"That’s right." Robin nodded. "I asked about her recently, and I was told she’s been having trouble establishing a connection with the Major Heat Law." He then stopped and folded his arms. "It’s a fairly common Path in the end. I honestly expected she’d have mastered it much sooner than this."

"Not everyone can establish a connection with Major Laws so easily, My Lord." A bead of sweat rolled down Glatheon’s forehead. After all, he himself was only a user of a Minor Law, making him fully aware of just how difficult it could be to advance further.

"I understand that, but Renara can." Robin gestured toward her. "Do you know that she uses seven different Minor Laws? Even though she built her entire foundation around Frost, she’s mastered the other six to an astonishing degree. Even if her bloodline grants her an affinity toward them, that’s still an unbelievable accomplishment. Among all members of her race, she’s the only one who has ever managed to wield all nine."

He then looked at her with a trace of sympathy.

"Unfortunately, her leadership ability is limited, and she also suffered several betrayals that brought down her empire. Otherwise, with talent like this, she would have become a Behemoth by now."

Then he laughed as he turned toward Glatheon.

"Do you know? Those seven Laws don’t even belong to the same Path in the first place. Do you realize how difficult that is?"

"...Shouldn’t that be impossible?" Glatheon frowned even more deeply. "It’s already miraculous enough for someone to possess an affinity for seven Minor Laws within the same Path, but across multiple different Paths?"

"Hmm... You know that Paths and Laws don’t descend from the heavens neatly arranged inside books with names and classifications already assigned to them. We simply observe the universe around us and classify them ourselves." Robin folded his arms. "She possesses something resembling Explosion, Frost, a Fireball, and something akin to violent vibration that generates tremendous heat and pressure. Because of that, I concluded those four belong to the Heat Path."

"What are the remaining Laws?" Glatheon asked, his curiosity growing stronger.

"One resembles cutting, another generates immense pressure similar to gravity, and another creates powerful friction." Robin shrugged helplessly. "No matter how hard I try, I simply can’t connect any of them to Heat."

"...." Glatheon lowered his gaze thoughtfully. "It really is difficult. Trying to place all of them under a single Path seems practically impossible."

"Hmm..." Richard continued staring at Renara. "Perhaps it’s an undiscovered Path?"

"...." Robin turned toward Richard before shifting his gaze back to Renara. "An undiscovered Path after 97.8 million years of recorded history? That would be a disgrace to every inhabitant of B-14."

"....?" Glatheon and Richard exchanged bewildered glances.

...B-14?!

"So then, where are we heading next?" Richard eventually asked. "I don’t think she’s in any condition for a conversation or a lecture right now."

"Hmm?" Robin shook his head. "I’m not finished here yet." Then, after stopping directly in front of Renara with only a single step separating them, he continued, "Caesar is in poor condition. Before long, he’ll be fighting wars of unification against five millennia-old empires. Renara needs to return to the battlefield... and she needs to return stronger than ever."

"So what are you going to do?" Richard asked curiously.

"...." Robin smiled.

"Watch this."

Robin’s eyes suddenly began radiating an increasingly brilliant golden light until the entire dim cavern was transformed into broad daylight in an instant, as though a miniature sun had suddenly risen underground.

Then he tossed a tiny object into the air, something compressed within a spatial capsule.

A tiny golden scale materialized before them.

Diiing.

The object instantly disappeared in midair without leaving behind even the slightest trace.

"Something’s about to happen... something’s about to happen...!!" Glatheon exclaimed, his eyes opening as wide as they possibly could while his heartbeat unconsciously accelerated in anticipation.

The next moment, Robin slowly raised both hands before softly murmuring,

<Fifth Grade Truth Decree: True way.>

Swoooooosh...

An enormous eye, nearly the size of Robin’s head, slowly opened above him.

Its pupil looked half-asleep, almost indifferent to everything beneath it, while magnificent golden flames surrounded it, emanating an indescribable pressure that instinctively caused every heart present to tighten even before it had done anything at all.

"...." Both Richard and Glatheon felt an overwhelming pressure emanating from it, a pressure so profound that it instinctively forced every nerve in their bodies into absolute vigilance.

Yet despite that immense pressure, neither of them sensed the slightest trace of hostility or murderous intent.

The enormous eye slowly left its position above Robin’s head and drifted forward with majestic slowness until it came to a halt directly above Renara. Then its half-lidded pupil lowered, fixing its gaze squarely upon the top of her head as though quietly examining something invisible to everyone else.

"...!!" Richard and Glatheon’s eyes widened to their limits.

The anticipation reached its absolute peak.

Glatheon had already witnessed a glimpse of the power of these symbols before and what they had done to Althera, so he knew full well that whenever one of them appeared, something extraordinary was bound to follow. Richard, on the other hand, had never seen his father perform anything on such a scale before, yet every instinct in his body and every strand of his soul told him that he was standing before something incomparably profound.

Something was about to happen!!

Baa.

"Alright, let’s go." Robin clapped his hands together, drew a deep breath, and immediately began assessing the condition of his body along with the amount of energy required for their next journey, his expression becoming noticeably more focused than before.

He had already made several consecutive jumps across different sectors within a short period of time, and every one of those spatial crossings had placed an additional burden upon his body.

"Let’s go?" Glatheon raised his voice in disbelief before quickly lowering it again. "That’s it?"

"Mhm." Robin nodded casually. "I won’t be doing anything else today. In fact, you could even say I haven’t really done anything at all." He then sighed and gestured toward Renara with his head. "All I did was give her a little helping hand."

When Robin noticed the unmistakable confusion written across both Glatheon’s and Richard’s faces, he smiled and continued, "The True Way is something I created—or perhaps it’s more accurate to say I simply realized it was possible. I use my understanding of the six Master Laws to directly influence Renara’s subconscious mind, making it easier and faster for her to comprehend anything that exists beneath the level of the Master Laws."

He shrugged lightly.

"I didn’t want to use this method because I didn’t want Renara to feel that her accomplishments weren’t earned through her own efforts. But she’s remained in this secluded cultivation for far too long, and it’s time for her to come out. Besides, that seventh Law whose underlying Path we still don’t understand is undoubtedly difficult, so giving her a small push shouldn’t make much of a difference."

Robin clapped once more and waved toward a certain spot, opening a portal with practiced ease.

"Alright, let’s go. I think I’m ready. I’ve already infused the Eye with enough energy to remain active for an entire year. Depending on Renara’s progress, she may remain sitting there for several months... perhaps an entire year... or perhaps the entire year will pass and she’ll still be sitting exactly where she is now. Everything is in her hands from this point onward."

Rumble.

"Hmm?"

Robin raised his golden Truth Eye toward the sky, his vision effortlessly piercing through the layers of rock above the cavern. Far overhead, he could already see a storm gradually taking shape, its gathering momentum becoming increasingly obvious.

Then he heard a soft feminine murmur drifting down from above.

"So that’s how it is... so that’s how it is..."
