Chapter 279: Chapter 279 – Development - Part 5.

<<The "free" period has ended.>>

<<The Mevon territory was.... Peaceful... Which did somewhat surprised me.>>

<<I mean, we did somewhat expected something to DO happened, the moment the forces of the empire left this territory.... But so far everything was peaceful.>>

<<However, there was already incident with spies trying to break in.>>

<<Meaning, that this place is already being targeted.>>

<<...Maybe they are having trouble because of Ariava’s sabotaging the attempts of the war breaking out?>>

<<Still, Porai said that according to the info she was provided with, there is still good chance of the war happening, that Ariava may only had delayed it.>>

<<In other words, our plans aren’t changing.>>

<<Anyway, with the "free" period finally over, it finally came time for the official production of the army to commence.>>

<<However, first thing first, the "products".>>

<<The empire wants to know what they want and decide what to get.>>

<<So, I’ve made several different golem types, which can be produced by the dungeon.>>

<<These golems design is somewhat similar to my own golems, but with the clear noticeable difference in performance as well function.>>

<<They don’t really "suck" or anything, I didn’t made them bad intentionally, I just made them somewhat just different compare to my regular golems.>>

<<Apparently Ariava, the emperor and the vampire alongside Porai all said that I should do that.>>

<<Maybe because they don’t want to use the "same golems as the murder"?>>

<<Either way, I did what I’ve asked me for, and created new golems.>>

<<These golems.... Well, they don’t have Forged Skills, for extremely obvious reason.>>

<<But, I’ve made sure they have a variety of golems to choose from.>>

<<After the "products" were delivered to the emperor alongside the details of these golems’ abilities, the meeting would be held few days later via the communication device.>>

"Greetings emperor Gustav." – said Porai as she was using the long range communicate device, a magic orb that was powered up by the mechanical looking components.

"It’s me. Porai Kuris."

"I’m going to be conducting the talk for the dungeon master Thauma, since it will be much easier."

"Thauma, he is right next to me as well, so it is not like he isn’t taking part in the talk."

"Understandable." – replied the emperor Gustav, as he and the vampire leader, sat with the same kind of device being placed in the special secured room.

"The protection period is over and from we were let know, it seems there is no problem whatsoever going on in the Mevon territory." – said vampire leader named Korwan.

"Yeb. That is correct." – said Porai.

"Thauma confirms it and I also checked it out for the safety measures."

"Everything seems okay."

"And thanks to that, the dungeon can finally start producing golems for the empire."

"Now, did you made your decision? Or do you need to have specific questions answered?"

"No. We want to get down to the business." – replied the emperor.

"Very well." – said Porai.

"First thing first... We want the fallowing golems. The soldier type golems." – said the emperor as Porai then started explaining how many golems would the dungeon produce and give for the empire.

"Is that correct?" – asked Porai.

"Yes. This will do for now." – replied emperor.

"I know that the dungeon master posse’s ability to create much stronger monsters, but it is for the best if we make it somewhat more peaceful at start, by only receiving weaker golems first."

(If we were to start off with the strongest stuff from the get go, it could really set off wrong reactions.) – thought the emperor.

(Still.... Those black iron knight golems.... I saw the that they had gave us.)

(They are good.... It would be good if we had them... But again...It is better if we would got with quantity over quality in this situation, in order to keep the reactions, tame.)

(And there is also the thing regarding the war.)

(We need to keep increasing our military force, since there is still a good chance that the war could pop up at any moment.)

"..."

"So, is this finally decision? Once it is made, you cannot change it." – asked Porai.

"No. We are fine with this one." – replied the emperor.

"Okay. Thank you." – said Porai.

"..."

"Actually.... Before we decide to like saying goodbyes and what not, there is actually another matter to discuss."

"?"

"What do you mean? Did something happened?" – asked Korwan.

"No.... Well, more exactly, Thauma wanted to ask about the trade deal." – replied Porai.

"And this isn’t about the one that we just did. He wants to do a trade."

"...You mean he wants to do some business?" – asked Korwan.

"Yes." – replied Porai.

"Thauma wishes to purchase a construction materials."

"You see, Thauma wants to do two things."

"First, is a construction of a fortress city, with the dungeon being located right in the middle of it."

"?"

"A city? Thauma wants to construct a city?" – asked Korwan.

"He said yes." – replied Porai.

"There are two reason."

"To defend the dungeon."

"And possible to open up some kind of proper trades with the entire empire."

"However, there is a problem, which is the second thing that Thauma wants to build."

"A military outpost for his golems."

"As things currently stands, we had confirmed that Thauma is being targeted by the enemies from the other nations."

"And, the dungeon cannot produce monsters right on the spot, since it takes time."

"So, Thauma wants to produce additional emergency military force on the standby, in case of the attack."

"However, to construct any of this stuff, Thauma needs construction materials."

"And for this, it is willing to pay for them with golems."

"..."

"Please wait a moment." – said Korwan as he pressed a button on the machine attached to the orb, cutting off the communication for a moment.

"A city?" – said emperor Gustav.

"A fortress city no less?"

"What is that golem thinking?"

"Is it by any chance Ariava’s scheme we had been worrying about?"

"I don’t know....Still... They are just revealing it like this?" – asked confused Korwan.

"I mean.... The military outpost thing makes complete sense! And I’m even fully willing to do it!"

"Considering what kind of shit is going on right now, it would be for the best if the dungeon had its own defensive force."

"But the city is completely different matter?"

"What about the city they have? What was it.... Never mind, its name. Can’t they use it?" – asked the emperor.

"Maybe? I mean...." – Korwan quickly took out the map of the Mevon territory.

"...No.... I don’t think they can fully utilize it.... It takes some time to travel between the dungeon and the city.... I think he wants problem control, so that is why he wants to create a new city around the dungeon."

"..."

"Wait......" – said the emperor.

"Isn’t this a chance?"

"I mean, we can somewhat much quicker boost our military force."

"..."

"Risky.... But considering the current situation...." – said Korwan.

"..."

"No."

"You are right."

"It may be extremely risky, but we need to increase our miliary force."

(Considering how much stuff that Ariava did... Yet even it wasn’t enough to somewhat stop these bastards from even thinking about the war is straight up worrying.) – thought Korwan.

(And again, the contract, it makes her do her work, which fucking means everything she said to us is true.)

(We may end up being able to completely avoid the war.... But the chances of the war happening in future... Maybe in just only few years... Is high.)

"If the war does break out, we will need to end it as soon as possible, before the chaos could truly kick off and start straight up causing the snowball effect... I don’t know if we are strong enough to stop the chaos from spreading rapidly, but we can’t risk it" – said Korwan.

"We need power, an extremely powerful one that will allow us to crush our enemies right on the spot." – said the vampire, before moments later he alongside the emperor argued as well as tried thinking about the offer through for about half an hour... Before then finally reconnecting the call.

"We talked a bit... But we want some answers." – said the emperor.

"First thing first."

"What exactly do you want? Only materials?"

"And what about the payment?"

"In golems is possible?"

"Yes." – replied Porai.

"Thauma wishes to buy materials, in exchange for the golems."

"Thauma also said that you are free to choose the specific golems as payment, but he is expecting a proper deal in materials as well."

"That is untestable." – replied the emperor.

"Well then, this is what we wanted to know."

"Please. Explain in details the situation somewhat."

"And depending on what it is, we are willing to accept these conditions."

"..."

<<Huh.... This wasn’t.... What we were expecting?>>

<<I mean, me and Porai were expecting to somewhat.... Well... Struggle?>>

<<Like a big time.>>

<<There was really no use hiding about any of this.... Well, about the emergency outpost we could somewhat hid the truth about it, but no way about the whole fortress city.>>

<<We had to reveal our plans from the get go.>>

<<Still.... They agreed.... Way too easily?>>

<<Porai said that the empire is expecting the war to possible happened.... But still, she wasn’t expecting them to take this deal.>>

"I mean. It would increase their military power. But at the same time, there is no fucking way they are trusting either you or Ariava." – said Porai.

"I think they are just... Taking a risk?"

"..."

{"That. Or maybe they are scared."}

"Of what? Ariava? That she would be passed at them for not accepting your deal?"

{"No. The war."}

{"Maybe the situation with the Stupid War somewhat changed?"}

"..."

"I don’t know." – replied Porai.

"I really don’t know.... Maybe it did? I mean, maybe Ariava did discovered some fucked up shit that may had terrified the empire?"

"I don’t know."

"And I don’t think we should even delve into it too deeply right now."

"Since right now, we can start off the things off properly."

<<The new deal was forged.>>

<<A trade deal.>>

<<Materials for golems.>>

<<The empire will receiving their regular supply of the golems, alongside a extract amount of golems, in exchange for some materials.>>

<<And in the exact moment these materials per deal arrived, I’ve didn’t wasted even a moment as I’ve instantly ordered my golems to construction out the outpost.>>

<<By the looks of things, we can start off the second phase already.>>
