Chapter 3180: Chapter 3180

Ye Liuyun’s golden eyes stayed locked on their flying craft until it vanished from sight; only then did he turn back to rejoin Xiao Heng.

Xiao Heng immediately handed over the resources the dynasty had sent. Ye Liuyun gave them a quick look—nothing but large-scale military supplies—and left the whole lot with Xiao Heng.

Next, he released Cui Daoran’s five hundred men and ordered them straight back to training.

“Still training?” Xiao Heng asked, puzzled.

Ye Liuyun nodded. “Yes. Keep fighting. In the end, only soldiers at Unity Eighth or Ninth Tier stay. Strip the rest. Armor and gear stay in storage—no need for it during drills. Re-equip them after the final cut.”

He had settled on an elite-troops path. Even those at mid-Unity or Unity Seventh Tier weren’t worth keeping; they couldn’t compare to the original Death Legion, and he refused to waste resources feeding them.

He intended to recall the three Death Legion armies he’d previously deployed and fold them into this force. Pouring these supplies into the Death Legion would raise their strength far faster.

“Understood.” Though reluctant, Xiao Heng obeyed and set the soldiers sparring again. Cui Daoran seized the chance to pry a good number of men from Xiao Heng for his own drills.

Meanwhile, Ye Liuyun got the coordinates from Man Feng, who was leading the Death Legion, and rushed over to bring all three armies back.

Those armies had started at three hundred thousand; now only one hundred fifty thousand remained, their cultivation stuck around Sovereign Eighth or Ninth Tier.

Yet though their realms were low, every soldier radiated overwhelming presence and iron discipline. Their mere arrival pressed down on Xiao Heng’s troops like a mountain.

“Soldiers not even at Unity can have such aura?” Xiao Heng, Cui Daoran, and the others were stunned.

Ye Liuyun told Xiao Heng to allocate most of the resources to the Death Legion and to outfit the one hundred fifty thousand with armor first.

Then he fetched his second avatar and the demon legion, sending the Death Legion into accelerated cultivation. He had Jiang Yunmo requisition vast quantities of beast meat from the chamber of commerce as rations. Yu Xiaofeng and the other officers joined the feast before settling into seclusion.

They would continue leading the Death Legion, striking planets under Fireseal Dynasty orders to hone their skills. The current worlds offered just the right pressure—enough to temper them without being overwhelming.

At Jiang Yunfei’s former pace, the Death Legion could fight with ease and still have ample time to cultivate.

They would train inside the second avatar’s spatial world, rotating in and out for battle. If the enemy realm was slightly higher, the demon legion would step in. For stronger foes, Xiao Heng would shield them—perfect training for Xiao Heng and Li Zhaoyuan to learn command from Yu Xiaofeng and the rest.

Ye Liuyun himself planned to take Cui Daoran and his own five-thousand-man elite to Bridgerock Galaxy to gather every resource there.

While Xiao Heng drilled the troops, Ye Liuyun stayed with the army cultivating, refining divine essence while practicing mental perception. The quality of his divine essence rose sharply, and—more exciting—his mind could now blanket an entire planet for reconnaissance.

At that scale, fine details escaped him, but narrowing the range let him cover a third of the world with crystal clarity.

He promptly caught two experts probing the army with their own senses. Whoever they served, Ye Liuyun froze time, flashed to their sides, and killed them.

The low-tier soldiers had already been weeded out in the sparring matches; their corpses fed the Devil Vine. After devouring so many, the vine merely slept—yet still hadn’t reached Unity Ninth-Tier peak.

“No telling how much more energy it needs to advance.”

Even Ye Liuyun hadn’t expected the vine to fall short after such a feast. Likely, advancing at this stage was just as hard for him.

So he calmed his mind, practicing mental sweeps outside while ceaselessly condensing divine essence. The perception drills were for safety; the essence refinement laid the foundation for future breakthroughs.

Both avatars waited with him, expanding their shared perception range while refining essence together.

By the time Xiao Heng finished the drills, Ye Liuyun could perceive half the planet in fine detail. Testing against the dynasty’s assassin squad, he could spot every infiltrator.

“With this skill, no one can sneak up on me.”

His progress left him buoyant. As long as he could detect any enemy early, he felt secure.

When Jiang Yunmo confirmed ownership of Bridgerock Galaxy, Xiao Heng and Cui Daoran had also completed their troop training. Ye Liuyun used the black transport tower to return to Bridgerock and began clearing out its bandits.

Jiang Yunmo didn’t need these bandits either; she was busy arranging for several great clans to relocate and even preparing to bring the Holy Fire Chamber of Commerce along. So Ye Liuyun had no reason to hold back—he would wipe out every last bandit, leaving only the planet itself.

He immediately released his his beasts, Tang Xinyao’s squad, and the women, letting them strike at will. The Devil Vine followed behind, cleaning the battlefield and devouring corpses.

They advanced city by city, following the order Jiang Yunmo had drawn up for rebuilding the planet, treating each conquest as practice. After seizing a planet, Ye Liuyun would scan it with divine sense and send Cui Daoran to mop up any scattered bandits. Cui Daoran then left a handful of Ninth-Order experts to garrison the world until Jiang Yunmo’s people arrived to take over.

The Ferrybridge System held just over a hundred planets—perfect for honing their skills. The Thief Cat and Devil Lion struck first, emptying the chambers of commerce and city lords’ storehouses so the bandits couldn’t make off with the loot.

Ye Liuyun himself didn’t join the fighting; he spent the time cultivating his divine essence and refining his divine sense. After a period of secluded training, his cultivation finally broke through to the peak of Unity Realm Sixth Order—another breakthrough imminent.

When he grew weary of meditation and wanted to stretch his limbs, he would head into the starry void to duel a Unity Ninth-Order expert.

His sparring partners were the five thousand elite soldiers he had personally selected, every one of them at least mid-stage Unity Ninth Order. They were perfect for sharpening his edge: each clash demanded his full strength, and he often came away battered and bloodied.
