Chapter 3154: Chapter 3154

“That woman’s ambition is truly enormous!” Ye Liuyun sighed inwardly. “But that’s perfect for me—I can use this partnership to skyrocket my strength.”

He then began contacting every squad, informing them of the evacuation schedule.

Xiao Heng’s team had taken only two cities, the same as the women’s group. After raiding two trade guilds and the city lord’s mansion, they felt they had more than enough resources and were resting on the spot, debating whether to push farther.

“Too slow! The dynasty has already mobilized troops. I’m giving you five days at most.”

Ye Liuyun simply delivered the warning, then used the slave seal to force them onward; after that, he left them alone.

The others needed no supervision—everyone knew time was tight and were throwing themselves into gathering resources and sharpening their skills. He estimated that in another five days the demon legion would have seized the entire planet. His own side, though fewer in number, would lag only slightly behind.

Meanwhile, his second avatar had already reached outer space to monitor cultivators arriving from other planets. Aside from the nine assassins he’d dispatched earlier, he now had twenty-six more experts. After another raid on the He family’s mines, they’d captured even more, culling the weak.

That force should be enough to intercept any bandit gangs. The strongest among the local brigands were only at the sixth or seventh level of Unity; even if the dynasty sent a few elites, his people could handle them.

Soon the avatar spotted a flying boat streaking toward their planet.

Aboard were a single old man at Unity Six and one bodyguard of the same rank—hardly the look of common bandits.

Yet with a planet-wide battle raging, no uninvolved party would come sightseeing. Bandits were well-informed; none would seek death here.

Without a word, the avatar drew the Great Desolation Bow and loed an arrow, then charged.

A boom tore the sky; the bandits’ boat was punched open. The old man and his guard tumbled out in disarray.

“Fellow cultivator, let’s talk! We’re only here to find a friend—please grant us passage!” the elder shouted as the avatar closed in.

The avatar ignored him, nocking another arrow. Sensing the threat, the bodyguard raised a shield, stepping in front of the old man.

No hesitation—another arrow flew. The shield shattered, the guard’s arm split open, and he was blasted away.

“Must you press us so hard?” the elder cried, helpless. Seeing the avatar draw again, he had no choice: he moment the old man opened his spatial world and released nearly a hundred bandits.

“Hmph, old trickster, still trying to deceive me!” The avatar snorted and unleashed his own experts.

Among the bandits were two assassins from the dynasty’s killer squads. The instant they appeared, both vanished. One lunged at the avatar; the other dove toward the planet.

The avatar fired at the fleeing assassin while locking the charging one with his scarlet soul-eye, trapping him in illusion.

Ye Liuyun and his avatar’s mastery of spatial force and world-energy might not yet rival a Unity Nine expert, but hiding from them was impossible.

The escaping assassin died instantly to the Great Desolation Bow; the other froze mid-stride, then had a soul illusion planted by Ye Liuyun himself.

Only then did the avatar stow his bow and wade into the bandit mob.

Though these bandits weren’t high in cultivation, they fought with savage desperation. To the avatar, they seemed fiercer than the soldiers Xiao Heng trained.

He began capturing them on the spot, planning to hand them to Cui Daoman later to form a new bandit regiment—just to see if they could outshine Xiao Heng’s men.

The Unity Nine experts under his command merely encircled the bandits, preventing any escape.

The avatar released a soul strand, using spatial force to invade each bandit’s sea of consciousness and plant slave seals one by one. His soul power now far exceeded theirs, making subjugation effortless.

In short order every remaining bandit—regardless of age or strength—bore the seal.

Cui Daoran sprinted over before the avatar could speak. “Boss, these guys are for me to lead, right?”

“You’re sharp! I hadn’t even said it—how did you know?” The avatar was genuinely surprised.

“Heh, you’re clearly unhappy with those soldiers—looks like you think they’re green and won’t fight to the death. Since we’ve just rounded up so many bandits, I figured you’d probably want me to lead this lot and pit them against the troops,” Cui Daoran said with a grin.

The clone kept nodding; he had to admit this Cui Daoran was no simple man.

Still, he gave a warning: “Take them all and form a bandit company. From now on they fight under me, but they’re forbidden from harming the innocent.”

“Yes, sir!” Cui Daoran bobbed his head eagerly. “I’ve even picked a name: the Ferocious Bandit Brigade. We aim to be the fiercest blade in the boss’s hand!”

The clone chuckled, impressed that Cui Daoran had read his mind. He merely tightened the slave seal on the man to keep him from running wild.

He didn’t care about the name; on the spot he had the captured bandits swear oaths of loyalty, erased their slave marks, and placed them all under Cui Daoran’s command. Cui Daoran then herded them into the spatial world for reorganization.

After that he stowed the stronger fighters in the spatial world as well, leaving only the remaining assassins to watch over the women in secret; he himself did not descend to help. Cloaked by the power of heaven and earth, he vanished into the starry sky to stand guard in case more bandits showed up.

The first clone alone was more than enough to protect the women; he even tested the Violet Eye’s soul-kill function on a Unity Six bandit.

Wherever the violet light touched, the bandit’s soul shattered and scattered—its effect rivaled that of the black light. Yet it could only kill, not devour.

The cost, however, was thirty percent of the target’s soul force—no small price, even higher than the black light’s toll.

“Rather niche; good only for blocking illusion attacks. I’ll keep it for now and pass it on if someone needs it later.”

To the first clone, the Violet Eye overlapped with his Golden Eye in every way except resisting illusions, making it nearly useless for him.

Those around him were so flush with top-tier resources that even a treasure like this barely raised an eyebrow.
