Chapter 2943: Chapter 2943

The casualties on the ancient demon side were far greater than those of Ye Liuyun’s forces. His demon soldiers were already formidable, and with their disciplined formation training, the casualty ratio between the two sides reached an astonishing one to ten.

Both armies now stood atop thick layers of corpses, roaring as they waded through blood-soaked ground, locked in brutal combat.

The vanguard of the ancient demon army had already lost over two hundred thousand soldiers.

"The ancient demon forces are encircling us—they’re preparing to attack!" The first clone reported the movements of the enemy army.

"Those elite ancient demon guards have also arrived on the battlefield, observing from a distance!" The second clone relayed to Ye Liuyun.

At that moment, the ancient demon vanguard that had been charging at them suddenly halted and even retreated slightly, likely awaiting the signal for a full-scale assault.

The clamor of battle abruptly fell silent. Apart from the Demon-Sealing Stele still relentlessly crashing down, all other movement ceased.

The surrounding ancient demon armies tightened their encirclement, inching closer. By now, even the ordinary demon soldiers had caught sight of the enemy forces and realized they were surrounded.

The tense pre-battle atmosphere, coupled with the oppressive might of millions of ancient demons, instilled fear in the eyes of the demon soldiers. Under normal circumstances, they would have been doomed.

Yet this demon army was battle-hardened. The soldiers assumed that as soon as the fighting resumed, they would carve a bloody path through the enemy lines in one direction to break free.

"Black Mountain, order the army to hold their ground and prepare for defense," Ye Liuyun commanded immediately.

Black Mountain swiftly relayed the order. 𝕗𝕣𝐞𝐞𝘄𝐞𝚋𝚗𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹.𝚌𝕠𝚖

The ancient demon forces opposite them smirked, convinced that Ye Liuyun’s defensive stance would be utterly futile against their overwhelming numbers. Even the elite demon guards inwardly rejoiced, thinking they might not need to lift a finger before Ye Liuyun was annihilated. Then, they could simply collect the corpses and retrieve the Ten Thousand God Tokens.

Even Ye Liuyun’s own demon soldiers were baffled by the order, unsure of his intentions. But years of rigorous training had ingrained obedience into them, and without hesitation, they formed defensive ranks as instructed.

**"ROAR!"**

A deafening roar from an ancient demon echoed across the entire battlefield!

"The full-scale attack has begun!"

Hearing this roar and seeing the ancient demon army spring into action, Ye Liuyun knew the battle had commenced.

Seizing the moment before the demon horde could surge forward, he immediately released the four massive spheres. The spheres to the left, right, and rear were high-quality finished products, while the one deployed at the front was still an experimental prototype. Though it had minor flaws, it was fully functional—more than enough to hold off over two hundred thousand ancient demons.

The sudden appearance of these colossal spheres startled both sides.

"So this is the master’s ultimate weapon? Just... a giant ball?"

After a glance, Hei Shan couldn’t help but feel uneasy. The spheres were shielded by formations, preventing him from seeing inside or discerning their exact capabilities.

His first thought was that the spheres would roll forward and crush the enemy. But against an army of millions, a single rolling sphere wouldn’t make much difference—it wouldn’t kill enough to matter.

On the opposing side, the ancient demon forces paused briefly before concluding that these spheres wouldn’t affect the final outcome. Their supreme commander roared again, urging the army forward.

This time, after its command, the leaders of the other demon legions joined in with their own battle cries, and the entire demon horde launched a full-scale charge. Three hundred thousand ancient demons surged toward them from all directions.

"Fire!"

At Ye Liuyun’s command, the sides of the four massive spheres facing the demons instantly unleashed a barrage of energy cannons, raining destruction upon the charging horde.

The moment the cannons roared to life, entire swaths of the demon army were obliterated. The ground was torn apart, leaving deep craters and clouds of dust in their wake.

Then, the massive spheres slowly rumbled forward, advancing into the heart of the demon forces. The front cannons blasted a path through the enemy ranks—no demon could stand in their way. Those at the forefront were utterly annihilated, reduced to ashes.

By the time the spheres reached the center of the demon army, the side cannons also activated, engulfing the flanks in a storm of devastating fire.

"Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!..."

Deafening explosions erupted around the demon army, shaking the entire planet to its core. The sheer force suggested that even the planet’s foundational energies would be heavily drained to withstand such bombardment.

Fortunately, the massive spherical weapons were firing horizontally at the ancient demon horde rather than striking the planet directly—otherwise, the world itself might have collapsed under the assault.

The overwhelming firepower stunned everyone on the battlefield. But soon, triumphant roars erupted from the demon ranks, while the ancient demons answered with cries of despair. The once-fearless demon soldiers, who had been ready to charge, now trembled where they stood. Some even staggered backward, their legs shaking uncontrollably.

The colossal spheres advanced relentlessly, annihilating nearly ten thousand demon soldiers in mere moments.

Yet the ancient demon commanders quickly rallied their forces, ordering a full-scale assault on the spheres. At their furious shouts, the demon soldiers surged forward, driven by desperation.

But the spheres unleashed a storm of fire, making it nearly impossible for the demons to close the distance. The harder they pushed, the faster they died. Only a handful slipped through the gaps in the barrage.

Even when the demons managed to strike the spheres, their attacks barely left a scratch. Meanwhile, the spheres simply rotated, adjusting their angles with eerie precision, and obliterated any demons who drew too close.

Some demons leaped into the air, attempting aerial strikes, while earth-aligned ones burrowed underground for ambushes. Yet the spheres had defenses for every direction—energy cannons fired downward just as fiercely as they did outward.

Soon, the spheres ascended, hovering above the ground to counter subterranean attacks. They continued their slow, methodical rotation, advancing steadily as their cannons swept the battlefield, cutting down the demon horde in relentless waves.

The demon commanders had no choice but to deploy their elite guards as enforcers, preventing their soldiers from retreating. Their furious screams urged the troops forward, even as death rained down upon them.

From a distance, the demon lieutenants exchanged glances. After a brief, silent understanding, they dispersed—preparing to strike at Ye Liuyun.

Their reasoning was clear: if this continued, Ye Liuyun’s forces wouldn’t even need to engage. Those monstrous spheres alone would wipe out the entire demon army.

The moment they moved, Ye Liuyun’s second clone alerted him.

"Looks like they’ve realized they’re losing," Ye Liuyun mused. "They’re making their move early."

With that, he ordered the Qiong Qi to set up a defensive formation within the ranks. Meanwhile, his first clone was summoned back to withdraw the demon troops, ensuring they wouldn’t be caught in the crossfire of the coming battle between powerhouses.
