Chapter 2940: Chapter 2940

Ye Liuyun not only dispatched the Spirit Cat battleship to harass the ancient demon army but also occasionally sent out a puppet beast to directly charge into their ranks, testing their combat capabilities.

This tactic served dual purposes: buying time and gathering intel on the enemy forces. Ye Liuyun was wary of encountering a particularly cunning ancient demon commander who might catch him off guard with a sudden strike.

He also tasked his first doppelganger, cloaked in an invisibility mantle, to lead a team of recently captured demon guards and use spatial powers to abduct a commander at the Unity Realm. The plan was to extract information through soul-searching and gauge the strength of their leadership.

The doppelganger made multiple attempts—initially successful, but later runs were thwarted by heightened defenses from Unity Realm experts, who detected him early.

However, the Unity Realm pursuers who chased him were intercepted by the demon guards he unleashed. One by one, he subdued them using soul force, turning the tables and capturing several powerful foes instead.

After some time, the ancient demon army began retaliating by occasionally sending small squads to assault the formation where Ye Liuyun was stationed.

"Seems these demons have learned my harassment tactics!" Ye Liuyun grew increasingly anxious. If Qiong Qi and the others failed to complete the superweapon soon, the demon forces on the opposing planet would likely lose patience and launch a full-scale attack.

Just as his worries deepened, Qiong Qi suddenly called out excitedly, "Kid, come take a look at this thing!"

Ye Liuyun hurried back to the spatial realm, where a massive metallic sphere loomed before him.

"What is this? Are we supposed to roll it over and crush the demons?" he wondered aloud, baffled by its purpose.

Activating his golden pupils, he peered inside the sphere and spotted six seats, each facing a different direction. Before every seat was what appeared to be a ship’s steering wheel—likely for navigation. 𝕗𝚛𝚎𝚎𝐰𝗲𝗯𝗻𝚘𝚟𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝕞

At the center was an energy-driven mechanism, which he recognized immediately. A complete world’s origin force powered it, unmistakably serving as its energy core.

Mounted at the front was something resembling an arrow case, lined with rows of energy cannon barrels.

The rest consisted of interconnected devices whose functions eluded him entirely.

"Why are all the cannon barrels inside the sphere? Does the front open up when attacking?" he mused aloud.

The Qiong Qi grinned at Ye Liuyun without saying a word, clearly waiting for him to continue guessing.

Ye Liuyun, aware of his intentions, cut straight to the chase: "Just tell me what it’s for! I can barely hold on out there as it is."

"Haha!" Qiong Qi laughed heartily, acknowledging the immense pressure Ye Liuyun faced outside, and finally began explaining.

"This giant sphere is piloted by six people and can move and attack in any direction. Each side is equipped with energy cannons capable of firing multiple beams simultaneously—either individually, in rapid succession, or all at once. As long as there’s enough energy, it can keep firing nonstop.

"The metal used in this sphere isn’t just incredibly durable—it also allows energy beams to pass through. That’s why the cannons are positioned inside, preventing enemies from targeting them directly."

Ye Liuyun couldn’t help but ask, "If energy can pass through freely, wouldn’t enemy attacks also penetrate inside?"

Qiong Qi chuckled. "Of course not! Otherwise, we’d have designed a useless piece of junk!

"The defensive arrays on the exterior don’t just block attacks—they can rebound them! Every segmented piece of metal has its own defensive array, and there’s an overarching array covering the entire structure!

"Plus, the spherical shape helps absorb and disperse the force of impacts, reducing strain on the arrays!"

Though Ye Liuyun didn’t fully grasp the mechanics, the explanation impressed him, and he nodded repeatedly.

"But that’s not all—its spatial traversal ability rivals that of the Lynx-class warships, and it doesn’t consume much energy. The only downside is its standard flight speed isn’t particularly fast." Qiong Qi rambled on before finally admitting one minor flaw.

"Has it been tested?" Ye Liuyun asked.

"Of course! We’ve even trained a crew for you!"

With that, Qiong Qi summoned a squad of soldiers and had six of them board the sphere.

One soldier waved a command token, and a hatch on the sphere slid open, allowing them inside before sealing shut again.

Ye Liuyun watched through his golden pupils as several soldiers each took a seat inside the massive sphere and activated it. At first, the sphere moved slowly, but it quickly accelerated, reaching speeds comparable to an ordinary flying vessel.

After gliding for a while, the sphere suddenly performed a spatial jump, reappearing in front of a deserted island.

Within his spatial domain, Ye Liuyun could effortlessly lock onto the sphere with just a thought.

As the sphere hovered before the island, it fired a single energy blast. Ye Liuyun gauged the impact—it was even more powerful than the attacks from the Spirit Cat battleship. Then, the sphere switched to rapid single-shot fire, unleashing a barrage of *BOOM BOOM BOOM* that nearly blasted straight through the entire island!

"Such destructive force!"

Ye Liuyun gaped in astonishment. The firing speed was drastically faster than before, and combined with this overwhelming power, it could easily suppress the charge of an ancient demon army.

"HAHAHA!" Qiong Qi burst into triumphant laughter. "But wait—there’s more! Keep watching!"

Ye Liuyun fixed his gaze on the massive sphere. In no time, the island was completely pierced by the single-shot barrage. Then, the sphere switched to multi-shot single-fire mode, releasing twenty-eight energy beams simultaneously. The island trembled violently as a massive crater was torn into the ground, leaving it utterly unrecognizable.

"Pay attention now! Here comes the best part!" Qiong Qi cackled in excitement.

No sooner had he spoken than the sphere began rapid multi-shot fire. Wave after wave of energy beams rained down on the island, reducing it to shattered fragments within just a few volleys.

"This power—!" Ye Liuyun was so stunned he could barely find words.

An assault of this magnitude wouldn’t just annihilate an ancient demon army—even a fourth-level Harmonization Realm demon expert would be obliterated without a trace.

After demolishing the island, the sphere fired one last multi-directional salvo—six beams in a single burst—before finally powering down.

"HA! I was afraid they might collapse your spatial domain if I let them go all out, so I held back," Qiong Qi gloated, thoroughly enjoying Ye Liuyun’s dumbfounded expression.

Ye Liuyun could only nod repeatedly, murmuring praises under his breath.

At that moment, the sphere performed another spatial jump, returning to land smoothly before him.

"You developed something this incredible so quickly?" Ye Liuyun finally managed to ask.

Qiong Qi smirked mysteriously. "We started researching it right after retreating from the alien forces. But we only finalized it now, once we were sure it was ready."
