Chapter 2902: Chapter 2902

Ye Liuyun and his avatar had completely withdrawn all their strength, focusing solely on channeling the power of heaven and earth to resist the oppressive force within the secret realm.

However, the rate at which he could harness this energy couldn’t keep up with his pace of walking. Every few steps, his legs would grow too heavy to lift, forcing him to pause and continue gathering the power of heaven and earth.

Now, if he stopped even for a moment, his body would struggle to remain upright. He dared not halt the flow of energy for even a second.

*"If I go any further, the moment I stop channeling this power, I won’t even be able to stand!"*

The thought weighed on Ye Liuyun’s mind, but he refused to stop moving forward. 𝓯𝓻𝒆𝙚𝒘𝓮𝙗𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝒍.𝙘𝓸𝙢

Since this was a trial, he intended to make the most of it—pushing himself to the limit under such perilous conditions. He trusted that Tang Fengkuan, who hadn’t recognized his true identity, wouldn’t design a training regimen meant to harm him.

He had already instructed those within his spatial world to keep track of time and remind him when three months had passed, lest he lose himself too deeply in focus.

Pausing, walking, pausing again—he poured everything into channeling the energy, no longer sparing a glance at the scenery around him. His only thought was to press onward.

He had no idea how long he had been walking when, without realizing it, he found himself at the foot of a small hill. A narrow path wound its way upward.

Without even probing the path’s length with his divine sense, Ye Liuyun immediately set foot on it, ascending step by step.

Yet the moment he took his first step, he had to stop again, forced to continue refining his control over the power of heaven and earth.

The energy in this secret realm was far denser than anywhere else. Even without extending his divine sense, he could feel its overwhelming presence, and harnessing it was far easier than in the outside world.

But this same energy was also the source of the crushing pressure. Unlike the gravitational suppression he had experienced before, no amount of physical endurance could withstand it—only the power of heaven and earth could resist.

This time, however, the moment Ye Liuyun took a single step up the hill, the pressure bearing down on him surged violently. He stood frozen, unable to lift his leg even to retreat.

The sheer force of this energy far surpassed anything he had faced before. Yet even as he trembled in place, legs locked in place, his avatar didn’t hesitate—it stepped forward alongside him, sharing the burden of that overwhelming power.

Together, they could feel the power of heaven and earth, which would accelerate their cultivation of this energy.

After a day or two, Ye Liuyun finally felt the pressure on his body lessen, allowing him to take two more steps upward. However, the heavenly and earthly energy on this mountain was far denser than on flat ground, and after those two steps, he was forced to halt again.

As Ye Liuyun grew more attuned to the energy, the intervals between his and his doppelganger’s pauses grew shorter, and each time they advanced, they covered more ground than before.

Thus, Ye Liuyun and his doppelganger pressed forward with relentless determination, never stopping for a moment.

His mastery of the heavenly and earthly energy continued to grow, though he had no time to assess just how much stronger he had become. All his focus was on channeling that energy to shield himself as he climbed higher.

This stretch of the journey was grueling—the weight of heaven and earth bore down on them ceaselessly. Yet, they refused to retreat even a single step. The moment they neutralized the pressure with their own energy, they immediately pushed forward, deliberately keeping themselves in constant peril to force further improvement.

Only when he and his doppelganger reached the summit did Ye Liuyun realize the energy’s intensity had plateaued. He paused to take in his surroundings.

The peak he stood upon was not particularly high. In the distance, he could see two more mountains, each taller than the last. Staring at the highest one, he couldn’t help but wonder just how much stronger his control of heaven and earth would become if he could reach its summit.

Now that he stood atop this mountain, he had adapted to the oppressive energy, moving with far less difficulty.

But when he looked down the other side, his heart clenched.

Along the path behind this mountain, numerous ferocious beasts stood as obstacles. It seemed that advancing further would require battling these creatures.

Even walking was a struggle now—fighting beasts without using any other abilities would likely end with him being devoured.

He exchanged a glance with his doppelganger, hesitation flickering in their eyes. But soon, their gazes hardened with resolve.

"Let’s go. Fortune favors the bold. Everything we’ve achieved so far has come from facing danger head-on!"

With that, Ye Liuyun took the lead, descending the mountain.

To his surprise, as he descended, he suddenly felt much lighter. The pressure of the celestial forces weighing down on him had actually diminished.

"Huh?"

His clone immediately followed suit and also sensed that the oppressive celestial forces were indeed weakening.

They took a few more steps downward to test it and confirmed that the further they descended, the lighter the pressure became, making their movements increasingly effortless.

"Good thing we came down—otherwise, this opportunity would’ve been wasted!" Ye Liuyun remarked with relief.

Given how the pressure was decreasing, by the time they encountered a fierce beast, they’d truly be able to fight freely. The only uncertainty was whether their celestial force reserves would be sufficient.

Yet, neither Ye Liuyun nor his clone used their golden pupils to assess the beast’s strength. Instead, they decisively pressed forward. When they faced the first beast, neither hesitated to rely on any other power—both immediately channeled their celestial force and threw a punch.

With a *whoosh*, they both felt the celestial force they had summoned surge forth alongside their fists.

Even before the blow landed, grins spread across their faces.

"Our power has improved this much?!" the clone exclaimed excitedly through their mental link.

"Yeah, I never expected this!" Ye Liuyun replied, equally amazed.

The two were so exhilarated that they momentarily forgot about the beast standing right before them.

Their celestial force had increased by at least three to four times compared to before. Just moments ago, Liang Xue and the others had informed them that only a month and a half had passed.

With such a short time frame and such tremendous gains, how could they not be thrilled?

*Boom!*

With a dull thud, their combined attack landed, snapping both their attention back to the monstrous beast.

The creature that had blocked their path had just been sent flying by their joint strike. Yet despite the blow, it hadn’t sustained any serious injuries.

"Again—give it everything!"

Ye Liuyun and his doppelganger immediately refocused, channeling the full might of the world’s energy to bombard the beast.

The monster lunged at them repeatedly, claws slashing through the air as brutal exchanges ensued. Occasionally, a swipe would land, sending shockwaves of pain through them—but neither faltered. They stood their ground, fighting with relentless fury.

In the end, the beast crumpled under their assault, collapsing to the ground. With one final, crushing surge of celestial force, they crushed the life out of it.
