Chapter 2886: Chapter 2886

As more aristocratic families arrived, their imposing presence grew stronger, effectively surrounding the Wan Family’s martial cultivators and preventing them from hunting down those hiding in the mountains.

"Step aside! Are you trying to rebel?" the Wan Family elder barked, attempting to use the family’s prestige to intimidate the local cultivators.

"Who said defying *your* orders counts as rebellion?" some of the stronger clan members shot back, angered by his arrogance.

Seeing tensions escalate, the hidden cultivators emerged from the mountains—some unwilling to drag the noble families into their plight, others realizing concealment was futile and choosing to fight for a slim chance at survival.

Gathering together, they vastly outnumbered the Wan Family’s forces, both in strength and sheer fury. Their collective rage burned white-hot.

"Enough talk! If you don’t eliminate these outsiders today, you betray the entire Demon-Slaying Star System!" the Wan Family elder continued to threaten, even as the situation spiraled out of control.

His words only stoked the fury of both the noble families and the outsiders. Even Qin Mengxi raised her voice in protest.

Ye Liuyun, assessing the standoff with a knowing smirk, saw the explosive tension between the two sides—dry tinder ready to ignite. Seizing the moment, he launched a covert soul attack, instantly killing a Wan Family disciple at the Unity Realm.

He understood this game perfectly. Now, he was the one striking the first spark.

And since soul attacks left no trace, no one would ever trace it back to him.

"Kill!" Following Ye Liuyun’s silent signal, Ye Tiandao roared, swinging his blade and cutting down another Wan Family disciple. Their actions spurred the more hot-tempered cultivators into action, and soon, attacks rained down upon the Wan Family.

"You *dare* rebel?!" the elder snarled, stunned by their audacity.

But his words were useless now. The tide had turned, and blood had been spilled—there was no stopping the frenzy.

As the battle raged, the Wan Family elder, realizing he was outmatched, tried to flee. But Ye Liuyun had been waiting for this moment. With a single, devastating slash, he cut off the elder’s escape.

*BOOM!*

Li Daoyuan suddenly struck, delivering a palm strike to the elder’s back that shattered his heart and sent him flying. Immediately after, two other martial cultivators joined in—one with a blade, the other with a sword—cleaving the elder apart on the spot.

Ye Liuyun and his companions swiftly withdrew, gradually retreating to Qin Mengxi’s side. By the time the battle ended, they were nowhere near the center of the conflict, as if they had played no part in it at all.

Qin Mengxi had been by Ye Liuyun’s side the entire time, witnessing everything—from his soul attack, to Ye Tiandao’s seamless coordination, and finally Li Daoyuan’s devastating palm strike that sent the Wan family elder flying. She had kept a close eye on each of them.

"You all..."

Now, seeing them return early and acting as if nothing had happened, she was at a loss for words.

*They were the ones who struck first, coordinated the follow-up, and delivered the decisive blow—clearly the most crucial players in this fight. And yet, here they are, pretending it had nothing to do with them!*

She mused silently, unsure how to even describe Ye Liuyun.

It wasn’t until then that the local clans realized the magnitude of the disaster they had just provoked.

"What do we do now?" The clan leaders huddled together, urgently discussing their next move.

Seeing their distress, Qin Mengxi couldn’t help but chide Ye Liuyun with a hint of reproach. "You’ve really stirred up trouble this time! By provoking the Wan family and killing their disciple, it’s us—the local clans—who’ll bear the brunt of their retaliation."

Ye Liuyun, however, remained unruffled. He sent her a calm mental message: *"What’s there to fear? The Wan family still relies on these clans to control this planet. As long as you stand united and don’t let them divide and conquer, no one will face reprisals.*

*Besides, the Wan family’s actions are already unpopular. Other planets won’t be pleased either. You can ally with them and rise up together against the Wan family. Organize the captured foreign martial cultivators—let them fight for their own freedom.*

*With so many forces united against them, no matter how strong the Wan family is, they won’t dare act recklessly."*

Qin Mengxi listened, finding some logic in his words. Still skeptical, she pressed, "Are you sure?" 𝙛𝒓𝒆𝙚𝒘𝒆𝓫𝙣𝓸𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝒄𝒐𝓶

Ye Liuyun simply smiled and nodded.

"Should I go talk to my father about this?"

Qin Mengxi felt it was necessary to remind her father—perhaps he hadn’t considered all these angles.

"Go ahead!" Ye Liuyun replied casually.

So, Qin Mengxi relayed Ye Liuyun’s words to her father, Qin Hesong, making it clear they were Ye Liuyun’s suggestions.

Upon hearing this, Qin Hesong nodded gratefully at Ye Liuyun in acknowledgment before turning to discuss the matter with the other clan leaders.

They quickly reached a decision: they would form an offensive and defensive alliance as Ye Liuyun had proposed and simultaneously reach out to the planets under the Wan Family’s jurisdiction.

Once the plan was settled, they dispersed immediately to take action. The visiting martial cultivators who had been hiding there also returned to their respective clans—there was no need for secrecy anymore.

Not long after, the Qin Clan leader personally came to thank Ye Liuyun and seek his advice on what to do next.

"Recall all the experts blockading the starry skies," Ye Liuyun said bluntly. "If the Wan Family couldn’t find them, what’s the point of your blockade? If they didn’t want to be found, they’d have vanished long ago!"

He then advised Qin Hesong, "Organize those people properly, and they’ll become a formidable force—one even the Wan Family wouldn’t dare provoke lightly. Ultimately, the Wan Family’s decisions depend on your strength.

"This isn’t about declaring war on the Wan Family. It’s about safeguarding your own power. Even if you dislike conflict, you should at least have the strength to protect yourselves from being slaughtered, right?"

He phrased it this way to make the idea more palatable to them.

The Qin Clan leader nodded thoughtfully, finding Ye Liuyun’s reasoning acceptable.

Ye Liuyun also suggested that Qin Hesong communicate openly with the captured visiting martial experts, persuading them to fight alongside them. They needed to understand that if this place fell, they’d be seized again—so in battle, they’d fight desperately for their own survival, making them exceptionally powerful combatants.

Qin Hesong thanked Ye Liuyun repeatedly before leaving to consult with the other clans.

The Qin Clan still held considerable influence on this planet. Soon, they began acting on Ye Liuyun’s advice—even spreading their methods to other planets, sparking a wave of resistance against the Wan Family.
