Chapter 2844: Chapter 2844

Ao Ding had always placed great trust in Ye Liuyun, and over the years, Ye Liuyun had indeed never acted against the Dragon Clan’s interests. On the contrary, he had repeatedly aided them in expanding their influence. Now, he had even granted them an entire planet of their own—such generosity spoke volumes about his care for them.

Moved by his kindness, the dragon spirits immediately proposed relocating the secret realm to the Dragon Clan’s territory, where they could eventually rest alongside Ao Ding’s lineage.

Ao Ding, of course, welcomed the return of these revered ancestors. Their presence would undoubtedly strengthen the Dragon Clan, especially in nurturing the younger generation—a cause to which the dragons devoted themselves wholeheartedly.

Yet, the dragon spirits hadn’t forgotten to repay Ye Liuyun.

*"We owe you our deepest gratitude for your unwavering support of the Dragon Clan,"* one of them intoned, its voice resonating like distant thunder. *"And we may yet trouble you again in the future. Since you’ve brought your companions here, we won’t let you leave empty-handed."*

*"Among us are a few ancient dragon spirits whose time is nearly spent,"* another added solemnly. *"Rather than let them fade, we offer them to you. This is our fate—to see you grow stronger, to ensure the next generation of dragons thrives. In doing so, you fulfill our final wish."*

With a mighty roar that shook the heavens, the five-colored divine dragons summoned four more dragon spirits from the depths of the tomb. Though these spirits held lesser status, their soul power far surpassed that of their summoners.

Ye Liuyun, the Dragon Maiden, Lei Ming, and the Nine-Headed Demon Dragon each received one. The spirits willingly merged with them, infusing their souls with immense power—not merely strengthening them, but refining their essence to perfection without the need for further cultivation.

But the gifts didn’t end there. The dragons’ essence-blood also fused with their veins, elevating their bloodlines to unprecedented heights.

When the five-colored dragons sensed Ye Liuyun’s bloodline, their eyes widened in astonishment.

*"The Blood of the War God?"* one gasped, recognizing the legendary power.

*"Yes,"* Ye Liuyun confirmed without hesitation.

*"Remarkable!"* another dragon spirit rumbled, approval thick in its voice. *"It seems pledging ourselves to you was the right choice after all!"*

"In that case, let’s grant them some additional opportunities!" another dragon spirit suggested. "After all, the stronger he becomes, the safer we’ll be within his spatial world!"

"Agreed!" the other dragon spirits chimed in.

And so, the dragon spirits set to work once more, bestowing tailored gifts upon each of them based on their unique traits.

Ye Liuyun received several dragon corpses and skeletal remains left behind by dissipated dragon spirits, which would enhance his bloodline and physical body.

The dragon maiden was granted a pair of special black dragon eyes—unique to their kind. According to the dragon spirits, once refined, they could rival even Ye Liuyun’s golden pupils.

Lei Ming and the Nine-Headed Demon Dragon not only received an infusion of potent draconic demonic energy from a demonic dragon but were also taught profound insights into spatial power by a white dragon spirit. However, the dragon maiden absorbed this spatial knowledge the fastest, experiencing immediate improvement.

Of course, each of them was also given a dragon corpse to refine, further strengthening their bloodlines and physical resilience.

These individuals already possessed formidable physiques, but after refining a dragon corpse, their bodies became so robust that even a second-level Unity Realm expert couldn’t harm them.

Ye Liuyun, in particular, refined multiple dragon corpses. He couldn’t even estimate how many attacks from a Unity Realm powerhouse he could now withstand—only that his physical body had reached near-invincibility.

Moreover, his power of bloodline had grown purer. He could even sense the sheer oppressive aura radiating from it, capable of making others tremble in both body and mind.

The saying that "every part of a dragon is a treasure" was no exaggeration. After refining the dragon’s bloodline and physical essence, the power not only enhanced all aspects of his strength but also automatically tempered itself, saving him the time and effort of manual refinement—preventing any instability in his cultivation.

Ye Liuyun was already deeply grateful for the dragon spirits’ recognition, never expecting them to bestow so many additional blessings.

Before their departure, the dragon spirits even gifted him two caverns full of treasures, leaving him almost embarrassed. He had originally come to accompany and assist the dragon maiden and the others, yet his gains far surpassed theirs. He genuinely wished they could have received more.

The golden dragon seemed to read his thoughts and chuckled. "It’s not that we’re unwilling to give them more—it’s simply that their current strength is insufficient. Any more would be wasted, and worse, it might make them reliant on our generosity. You, however, are strong enough to handle greater rewards."

"They are descendants of our dragon lineage and will have more opportunities to seek us out in the future. The same goes for you. What we’ve given you now should suffice for a while. If you ever truly need more, you may return."

"Though you are not of the Dragon Clan, you have done them a great service. The dragons already regard you as an honored guest, and we naturally won’t treat you as an outsider either!"

"Many thanks, Elder!" Ye Liuyun replied with repeated gratitude.

Originally, he had considered that his doppelganger was still outside, but he felt he had already gained so much that it would be unseemly to ask for more. These dragons were offering their very souls, flesh, and essence to help them ascend—he couldn’t afford to be greedy.

After the Dragon Maiden, Thunderclap, and the Nine-Headed Netherdragon completed their cultivation, Ye Liuyun assisted Ao Ding in returning the Dragon Soul Valley’s secret realm to the dragon settlement. Then, he opened the realm to merge the ancestral tombs of both sides into one.

The remaining tasks could be handled by Ao Ding alone. He still needed to reconstruct the secret realm to protect the tombs, ensuring no one could enter at will.

Though Ye Liuyun had already designated the dragon settlement as a forbidden zone—untraceable and impenetrable to outsiders—unforeseen circumstances were always possible. Precautions were necessary, lest some reckless descendant of the dragons barged in and disturbed the slumber of their ancestors.

Meanwhile, Ye Liuyun returned with the Dragon Maiden and the others to familiarize themselves with their newfound power.

First, he summoned the Demon Vine and ordered it to lash him—with full force.

At first, the vine hesitated, holding back its strength. But when it realized Ye Liuyun remained utterly unfazed by its strikes, it finally unleashed its full might. Yet even with all its power, it failed to leave so much as a scratch.

To Ye Liuyun, it felt as though he were made of solid iron—pain was nonexistent.

Then Thunderclap, the Dragon Maiden, and the Nine-Headed Netherdragon eagerly volunteered to be "tortured" as well. In the end, it was the Demon Vine that ended up battered and demoralized. It scurried away, devoured all the stored corpses in one go, and retreated to sleep, desperate to boost its strength.

Next, Ye Liuyun called for Scarlet Lian to test his power of bloodline. 𝑓𝓇𝘦ℯ𝘸𝘦𝑏𝓃𝑜𝘷ℯ𝑙.𝑐𝑜𝓂

The moment he unleashed it, Scarlet Lian recoiled in shock.

Even if Ye Liuyun willingly offered his qi and blood for her to absorb, she wouldn’t dare. The potency of his bloodline was now so overwhelming that a single sip would burst her apart.

And it wasn’t just him—the Dragon Maiden, Thunderclap, and the Nine-Headed Netherdragon had all undergone a tremendous leap in power of bloodline, leaving her utterly awestruck.

Soon after, the Dragon Maiden and the others turned their focus to studying spatial power. Ye Liuyun could already sense that her mastery of it would soon rival his own.

As for his doppelganger, the gap in strength between them had widened significantly. From now on, any enhancements to bloodline or physical power would prioritize the doppelganger until it caught up to Ye Liuyun’s true form.
