Chapter 2827: Chapter 2827

The battle had barely begun when Ye Liuyun unleashed his temporal powers, instantly capturing the opposing ninth-level overlord experts. With these powerhouses out of the picture, he wasn’t overly concerned about any major disruptions.

Just as he predicted, the Demon Vine and Black Mountain tore through the enemy ranks like a hot knife through butter, shattering their formations with their first strike. When the demon army charged, the opposing soldiers crumbled instantly. Ye Liuyun could tell at a glance—these were troops who hadn’t seen real combat in years.

His demon army, on the other hand, was battle-hardened, disciplined, and meticulously trained—elite warriors through and through. Their superior equipment only widened the gap. The war chariots rolled forward, crushing everything in their path and throwing the enemy forces into chaos.

Having been cooped up in the spatial world for too long, the demon soldiers were itching for action. Before long, they abandoned their weapons and surged forward, eager for close-quarters slaughter.

Even without their gear, the opposing army stood no chance. They were hunted down like prey.

Neither the Demon Vine, Black Mountain, nor the demon soldiers had any intention of letting their enemies escape—these men were nothing more than cultivation resources and food. Surrender meant nothing. The killing continued relentlessly until all two hundred thousand enemy troops lay dead. Only then did they finally stop.

The Demon Vine and Black Mountain harvested resources as they fought, stuffing the corpses of their victims into their storage rings. The demon army was left to clean up the battlefield.

"Did you collect enough resources to break through to the Overlord realm?" Ye Liuyun asked Black Mountain directly.

"Seems like I’m still a bit short," Black Mountain replied honestly.

Seizing the opportunity, Ye Liuyun handed over the corpses of otherworldly beings that his other armies had gathered. "Use these to break through first. The other forces helped collect them. Once you advance, remember to repay them with resources from future battles."

"Thank you, Master!" Black Mountain was deeply moved—he hadn’t expected Ye Liuyun to go to such lengths for him. 𝐟𝗿𝐞𝚎𝚠𝐞𝚋𝕟𝐨𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝕔𝕠𝚖

The avatar then retrieved both of them into the spatial world, allowing them to focus on their cultivation.

"You could try using the power of Buddhist light to cleanse the evil energy from Black Mountain’s body," Ye Liuyun suggested to his avatar.

"You think I won’t accidentally kill him?" the avatar joked.

"Take it slow and steady," Ye Liuyun replied, not holding out too much hope but wanting to give it a shot. After all, the malevolent aura clinging to these otherworldly beings was downright repulsive.

"Alright, I’ll give it a try!" the clone agreed, though it didn’t rush into action. Black Mountain was currently in the midst of cultivation, so they’d have to wait until after the battles were over to proceed.

After settling Black Mountain’s affairs, Ye Liuyun released a newly captured ninth-level Dominator and ordered him to return to the Snowfrost Empire to deliver a message.

"Tell them the truth—Liao Xuesong harbored malicious intent first, and that’s why we acted. Warn them not to send any more troops. If they do, they’ll only be marching to their deaths!"

Ye Liuyun meant well, hoping to spare them unnecessary bloodshed.

But when the warrior returned and relayed Ye Liuyun’s words exactly as instructed, Emperor Liao Yuhui of the Snowfrost Empire flew into a rage. He immediately declared that the empire had been invaded by demons and called upon all martial artists across the galaxy to unite against the demonic threat.

Ye Liuyun hadn’t expected his goodwill to backfire so spectacularly. Not only had they been falsely accused of being demon invaders, but they were now branded as enemies of the entire galaxy. The warrior he had sent back was captured on the spot and executed as a sacrificial offering.

Through the Slaving Seal, Ye Liuyun learned of the Snowfrost Empire’s response and could only sigh heavily.

"We’ll deal with their moves as they come. These royals are so used to their lofty positions that they can’t stomach well-intentioned advice." He promptly ordered the demon army to prepare for battle, anticipating continuous conflict ahead.

Meanwhile, Ye Liuyun assisted Lei Ming in claiming this world. With a single slash of his Demon-Slaying Blade, the planet’s core energy was swiftly "persuaded" by Lei Ming, allowing them to smoothly absorb the planet into their spatial world.

Afterward, they moved on to another uninhabited planet, only to be met with relentless harassment from nearby martial artists. Ye Liuyun didn’t bother deploying the captured warriors—instead, he fought alongside the beasts and women from his spatial world, using the skirmishes as training.

He saw no point in explaining himself to these martial artists. They wouldn’t believe him anyway, so he simply cut down every last one who came at them. Meanwhile, Chi Lian continuously absorbed their bloodline energy to replenish the group’s strength.

Black Mountain remained in the clone’s spatial world, accelerating its cultivation without further intervention. With time flowing ten times faster, it managed to break through to the Dominator realm before the next major battle, reaching the same level as the Demon Vine. Still, Ye Liuyun kept it hidden, insisting it solidify its foundation rather than reveal its newfound power prematurely.

Though the Demon Vine was occasionally released, Ye Liuyun forbade it from fighting directly, instead tasking it with covertly protecting the group in case any hidden experts lurked among their enemies.

The women wielding frost energy had also grown more efficient in claiming planets, having already absorbed one or two. Their communication with the core energies had improved significantly.

Just as they were in the process of claiming another world, the empire’s army of five hundred thousand arrived.

"Since they’re so eager to throw their lives away, let the battle begin!"

Ye Liuyun summoned the Qiong Qi and other formation masters to assist in setting up defensive arrays. This time, he also released Feng Qiong, instructing him to prepare for combat.

Chilian donned double-layered soft armor, and Ye Liuyun handed her a few drops of Life Spring Water in case she sustained injuries.

Meanwhile, he and his doppelgänger carefully scrutinized the enemy forces with their golden pupils, searching for any hidden experts among their ranks. After a thorough scan, they found nothing particularly remarkable—just an additional ten thousand silver-armored soldiers.

"More lambs to the slaughter," Ye Liuyun mused inwardly.

Yet he remained vigilant, aware that many martial artists had also gathered nearby, watching like hungry tigers. For this reason, he refrained from immediately unleashing Black Mountain and the Purple Kylin Snake.

Instead, he handed the prisoners over to Ye Tiandao, who led a makeshift assault team composed of over a dozen ninth-level Dominator martial artists. Their task was to breach the enemy’s battle formation.

As the opposing army landed, Ye Liuyun deployed his demonic legions to counter them.

The surrounding martial artists, upon seeing the demonic forces, immediately concluded that the empire hadn’t deceived them—this truly was a demonic invasion. Their hostility toward Ye Liuyun and his allies intensified, and they swiftly joined the fray, massing behind the enemy army, ready for bloodshed.

"In a large-scale war like this, a mere few thousand extra soldiers won’t turn the tide."

Ye Liuyun remained silent, calmly observing as they entered the battlefield. Even after they had fully assembled, he held back from striking first, waiting instead for them to initiate the attack.

When the battle commenced, the demonic forces only assumed defensive positions, refraining from offensive action.

A dark tide of five hundred thousand enemy soldiers surged toward them.

"Hold the line! Activate the formations! Feng Qiong, strike now! Doppelgänger, protect Chilian while she drains their bloodline energy!" From his command post in the distance, Ye Liuyun issued orders in rapid succession.
