Chapter 2815: Chapter 2815

"Can’t we just destroy the planet directly?" Xiao Yunfang pressed on.

"They’ve definitely set up defensive formations inside the planet. If you attack, not only will you fail to destroy it, but you’ll also expose our position and intentions," Qiong Qi dismissed the idea outright.

He went on to explain, "Even if I were to dismantle the defensive formations, it would take time to locate the core array. And once the formations are broken, the enemy will be alerted immediately."

"If they’ve layered multiple formations, all our efforts would be wasted," he added grimly.

"Don’t forget Fengqiong might be there too," Fuyang reminded everyone, urging them to prepare for the possibility of facing the wind titan.

"Let’s retreat for now. We’re too close to the alien forces. No need to rush to a decision—we’ll finalize our plan once we’re certain. After all, they’ve gone to great lengths to set this trap; they won’t dismantle it so easily!"

"This battle is crucial for us—a decisive one! We must ensure victory before we strike!"

Ye Liuyun didn’t make a hasty decision. Instead, he had everyone return to deliberate further. Once his clone rejoined them, they all withdrew to avoid detection by the aliens.

After leaving the area, the commanders gathered inside the clone’s spatial realm to continue strategizing how to counter the trap.

Unaware that Ye Liuyun planned to deploy underworld spirits, the aliens remained confident in their calculations, believing the Golden Tiger Corps was unbeatable.

Yu Xiaofeng and the others focused on minimizing potential losses, preparing for any contingency.

After careful consideration, Ye Liuyun had already decided to seize this opportunity to annihilate the Golden Tiger Corps. Even if he couldn’t get too close to the alien forces—resulting in fewer captured alien elites—it was a rare chance to strike at their concentrated forces. If the Golden Tiger Corps dispersed later, eliminating them all at once would become far more difficult.

Beyond dealing with the formations, he also had to account for Fengqiong. For lightning-based attacks, he had Lei Dian, Lei Ming, and the Thunderstrike Stone, with Qiong Qi’s help to craft an array disk capable of absorbing lightning energy. As for fire, his clone and the Vermilion Bird could handle it.

Then there were Enke and Heishan. The Demon-Sealing Stele should be enough to deal with Enke, while the Demon Vine could restrain Heishan. As long as they could delay him, Ye Liuyun and his clone would be free to join the fight.

The remaining soldiers of the Golden Tiger Corps were left to the vengeful spirits of the underworld.

Ye Liuyun took stock of his own forces: 270,000 from the alien races, 30,000 from the Vanguard Regiment, 200,000 demon warriors, and a million-strong main army. Even if the aliens had more ambushes lying in wait, these numbers would hold.

Truth be told, this force wasn’t much weaker than the Golden Tiger Corps in a head-on clash. The only difference was that he’d be left with nothing afterward.

Once the decision was made, Ye Liuyun ordered Qiong Qi and Leiming to begin preparations while he devoted every spare moment to cultivation. Yu Xiaofeng, Ye Tiandao, and the others had already completed their deployments.

The alien elites never expected Ye Liuyun to press forward with the attack, but they had no choice but to comply. Bound by his slave seals, they could only obey.

They were the ones assigned to assault the altar—a mission they believed would be their last. Even Broken Horn and Fu Yang suspected Ye Liuyun intended to sacrifice them all here.

Following the plan, Yu Xiaofeng gathered all the alien warriors at the ninth level of Dominance for battle, while those at the seventh and eighth levels were tasked with attacking the altar.

Once everything was in place, the forces boarded over twenty Spirit Cat warships and set off for the star system where the aliens had laid their trap.

"Execute the plan!"

As they drew near, Ye Liuyun gave the order. All the Spirit Cat warships jumped to their designated planets, where the alien elites stowed the vessels and launched their assault on the altars.

Meanwhile, Ye Liuyun headed straight for the system’s core planet, unleashing the Vanguard Regiment and the 200,000-strong army.

On the surface, the alien forces stationed here seemed sparse—his own troops were more than enough to handle them.

Enke, seeing that Ye Liuyun had taken the bait, smirked in satisfaction and immediately ordered the activation of the anti-flight formation, ensuring Ye Liuyun couldn’t escape. Whether the altars were destroyed or not mattered little to him.

The moment the entire star system’s primordial energy was mobilized, an overwhelming spatial ripple surged through the void, palpable to everyone who had entered the system.

Ye Liuyun and his comrades had anticipated this scenario, so they remained composed, maintaining their battle formations in preparation for the enemy. The alien overlords of the Ninth Heaven followed closely behind the vanguard. Those dispatched to assault the altars had already succeeded and now remained on various planets, systematically eliminating the alien powerhouses stationed there.

The Demon-Sealing Stele and the Demon Vine had already begun their advance, devouring the alien forces in the vicinity.

Enke, seeing that Ye Liuyun and his forces were still pressing forward instead of fleeing immediately, grew even more delighted. Without hesitation, he unleashed the Golden Tiger Corps.

By now, even if Ye Liuyun wanted to retreat, those already deployed would have no chance to escape. These were the elite warriors by his side—eliminating them would significantly weaken his strength.

Wen Yuan and Feng Qiong emerged, overjoyed to see Ye Liuyun falling into their trap. Feng Qiong wasted no time and began preparing his assault.

Meanwhile, Black Mountain boarded a battleship, taking half of the Ninth Heaven overlords with him, and headed beyond the aerial restriction barrier. Though flight was hindered within the barrier, battleships could still move, albeit at a slower pace with higher energy consumption. The same applied to the Spirit Cat battleships—while void traversal was impossible, ordinary flight remained feasible.

Ye Liuyun tested the aerial restrictions himself and found that flight was still possible, though much slower, and spatial teleportation was out of the question.

At his side, his clone, Thunder Roar, and Vermilion Bird were all cloaked in invisibility, while Broken Horn and Shepherd stood openly beside him, observing the battle.

Commanders like Tian Dao and Yu Xiaofeng remained with their respective units.

Across the field, the golden-armored aliens were forming ranks, clearly in no hurry to attack.

The sky darkened abruptly as ominous clouds gathered above Ye Liuyun’s forces. His golden pupils caught the movements of Wen Yuan, Feng Qiong, and Black Mountain on the opposing side.

Feng Qiong was channeling the power from his spatial domain, summoning storm clouds and gathering lightning. Though the attacks weren’t directly conjured by him, he still needed to unleash immense energy to manipulate the natural forces of wind, rain, and thunder.

Within the blackened clouds, flashes of electricity sparked and crackled. The entire space grew oppressive as howling winds surged. The roiling clouds collided violently, arcs of lightning flickering within—a clear sign of accumulating thunderous power.

"Shields up!"

Tian Dao and Yu Xiaofeng barked the order in unison. Instantly, the soldiers raised their spirit shields, forming tight phalanxes that shielded every side and overhead.

"Boom—CRACK!"

A deep rumble of thunder preceded a bolt of lightning streaking down.

"That’s it?" Thunder Roar scoffed, unimpressed by the rather ordinary strike.
