Chapter 2810: Chapter 2810

Ye Liuyun didn’t rush to flee. Instead, he stored the three winged aliens into his spatial realm and waited calmly for their reinforcements to arrive.

The golden-armored alien warriors arrived even faster than he’d anticipated. Within moments, they appeared in his line of sight—three squads of three, with the lead squad scouting ahead while the other three followed closely behind. Among them was a three-eyed alien and a red-armored one, specialized in psychic detection and swift executions.

This formation would have been more than enough to handle ordinary warriors or military scouts. Yet Ye Liuyun remained unfazed. Even if these aliens had some mental defenses, he could still brand them all with slave seals in one go using his temporal powers.

What took him by surprise, however, was that the aliens detected him almost immediately. One of them lunged forward, striking from a distance with a palm strike before he could react.

"Since when do they skip the formalities?"

Ye Liuyun frowned. The aliens were still too spread out—if he activated his time powers now, he might not capture all twelve.

"Better act now. I can always summon my clones later. Otherwise, I won’t evade this."

With that thought, he froze time and charged straight for the three aliens at the front. Meanwhile, his golden pupils caught sight of the red-armored alien—a ninth-level Sovereign—releasing its soul force to attack him.

Ignoring it, Ye Liuyun focused on branding the three lead warriors. As expected, their minds were fortified with defenses, but that was no obstacle for him. After imprinting them, a quick soul search revealed one of them possessed hidden pupils beneath their normal ones, capable of detecting souls. That was how they had spotted him.

This particular alien was a specialist in reconnaissance, trained to counter cultivators using invisibility cloaks. Without his temporal abilities, getting close would have been nearly impossible.

"A real treasure," Ye Liuyun mused, swiftly storing them away in his spatial realm.

By the time his consciousness returned to his body, the red-armored alien’s soul was already nearly devoured by the Ten Thousand Gods Decree. Without hesitation, he dashed toward the remaining nine aliens, probing their memories mid-charge to uncover any other unique abilities they might possess.

Upon arrival, he swiftly collected the corpse of the red-armored alien before targeting the three-eyed one. With the last remnants of his temporal power, he managed to capture a winged alien as well—a hidden master of spiritual energy with an exceptionally strong soul.

Before resuming the flow of time, he preemptively released his doppelganger, cloaked in an invisibility shroud. The moment time resumed, the aliens barely had a chance to react before his doppelganger activated temporal power once more, effortlessly subduing them all.

But just as he finished securing these captives, he spotted another wave of over ninety powerful aliens rushing toward them. Though tempted, Ye Liuyun reluctantly decided to retreat.

Both he and his doppelganger were running dangerously low on temporal energy, and these aliens were formidable. Getting surrounded by them would be a death sentence.

"Lucky for you—I’ll let you off for now!"

With no other choice, Ye Liuyun and his doppelganger swiftly withdrew.

To their surprise, however, the aliens began pursuing them shortly after.

"Huh? Can they actually see us?" Ye Liuyun was baffled, wondering how they were tracking them.

"How much of your temporal power has recovered?" the doppelganger asked.

"Not enough yet," Ye Liuyun admitted, unsure if he could take them on.

"Then we keep running. By the time they catch up, we should have enough power. If not, we’ll just blast them with the white light—no way we’re letting them escape unscathed," the doppelganger suggested.

"Exactly what I was thinking."

With that, they altered their course, continuing their retreat. Yet the aliens adjusted their pursuit, relentlessly closing in.

As they fled, Ye Liuyun and his doppelganger kept glancing back, gauging the distance between them and their pursuers.

"This is truly bizarre. Could they be tracking us by scent?" He pondered silently, noting how their behavior mirrored that of predatory beasts stalking their prey.

After he and his doppelganger ran another stretch and changed direction again, the alien forces still followed precisely in their footsteps, tracing their path without deviation.

Once both Ye Liuyun and his doppelganger had replenished their temporal energy, they came to an abrupt halt.

The opposing force of over ninety aliens was a diverse mix of various races, clearly assembled with strategic versatility in mind. Each unit had been assigned specialized skills tailored for different missions.

Yet, these aliens hadn’t detected Ye Liuyun in advance. Only when they drew near did they suddenly stop.

By then, Ye Liuyun had already singled out the three aliens at the forefront—one of whom was undoubtedly their tracker.

The moment it caught Ye Liuyun’s scent and realized he was right ahead, it immediately signaled the group to halt.

Seizing the initiative, Ye Liuyun unleashed his temporal power against them, instantly immobilizing the tracker before swiftly attempting to drag it into his spatial realm.

But these aliens were no pushovers—each had formidable mental defenses. Imprinting them with slave seals proved time-consuming. By the time his temporal energy ran dry, he’d only managed to capture thirty-six.

True to their disciplined nature, the aliens reacted with precision. The moment Ye Liuyun and his doppelganger switched roles, the front ranks noticed their missing comrades and retaliated with spatial force, blasting Ye Liuyun away before he could retreat.

The doppelganger’s follow-up assault also met resistance, allowing it to seize only thirty more before halting. The remaining aliens were obliterated in a flash of white light, leaving none alive.

Ye Liuyun staggered to his feet, grateful for the dual-layered soft armor that had spared him severe injury—though the armor itself was now ruined.

"These aliens are formidable, and impeccably trained!" he marveled, genuinely impressed by their combat prowess.

They handed the subdued golden-armored aliens over to Yu Xiaofeng and Ye Tiandao, tasking their commanders with extracting valuable insights from them. The elite vanguard unit began integrating these aliens’ tactics into their own training regimen.

Moreover, these seventy-plus aliens, all at the ninth level of dominance, would prove invaluable in future battles.

"They’re coming again!"

His doppelganger’s golden eyes spotted three fresh squads of golden-armored aliens—each over a hundred strong—racing toward them from afar.

"Activate the Lynx Battleship—retreat!"

Ye Liuyun resisted greed, immediately summoning the Lynx Battleship to warp through space and evade pursuit.
