Chapter 2808: Chapter 2808

The two divine souls that Fuyang had sent forth were immediately enveloped by the golden radiance of the Divine Decree the moment they entered Ye Liuyun’s consciousness sea.

The smaller soul was easily subdued, but the larger one proved far more formidable, straining the Divine Decree’s power to its limits. Just as it was on the verge of breaking free, Ye Liuyun summoned the Demon-Sealing Stele to aid the Divine Decree in suppressing it.

Though the stele had been immobilized earlier, it regained full mobility the instant it returned to Ye Liuyun’s consciousness sea. Bound to him, it was not an independent entity but an extension of his will. Without hesitation, it sealed off all exits, trapping Fuyang’s divine souls within while simultaneously draining their energy.

Under the relentless absorption from both the Divine Decree and the Demon-Sealing Stele, the massive soul weakened until it was completely depleted.

Seizing the moment, Ye Liuyun turned his attention to the alien beings accompanying Fuyang. He branded them all—including Fuyang itself—with slave seals. With its two powerful souls gone, Fuyang stood no chance of resisting the enslavement. The rest of the aliens met the same fate before being confined within his spatial realm.

Fuyang’s ambush had caught Ye Liuyun off guard, but the tables had turned just as unexpectedly. Fuyang had no prior knowledge of Ye Liuyun’s mastery over temporal power. Only when time froze did it realize that its two mighty souls could still act.

In that critical moment, Fuyang had no chance to aid its allies—its sole focus was subduing Ye Liuyun, believing everything else would fall into place. But it never anticipated that Ye Liuyun not only wielded temporal energy but also harbored the Divine Decree within his consciousness. The smaller soul was instantly immobilized, while the larger one, struggling to escape, found itself trapped and drained by the Demon-Sealing Stele.

As for the two ordinary souls in Fuyang’s consciousness sea, they were effortlessly enslaved by Ye Liuyun before they even grasped what was happening.

With his remaining temporal power, Ye Liuyun unleashed a sweeping white light, annihilating nearly half of the five thousand elite warriors Fuyang had deployed. Clustered tightly together, they made easy targets.

But then, his temporal energy ran dry.

"Retreat!"

He signaled the Demon Vine and immediately turned to flee. The number of alien elites and soldiers was overwhelming—there was no way they could take them on now. The Demon Vine, a ruler of the ninth-tier realm, could escape easily without his concern.

The Demon Vine reacted swiftly, burrowing into the ground and vanishing, while Ye Liuyun utilized spatial energy to make his getaway.

The alien elites and their army were left in stunned confusion. Fuyang had disappeared without a trace, and half their strongest warriors had been wiped out in an instant.

They could tell it was the three-eyed alien’s white light that had slain their comrades—but whether Ye Liuyun, that human, had anything to do with it, they couldn’t be sure.

Their orders before emerging had been clear: engage in battle. But now, their enemies amounted to just a single Demon Vine and a lone human cultivator—both of whom had fled before they could even react.

"What just happened? Who are we supposed to fight?"

"Where’s Elder Fuyang?"

"Should we chase them?"

They had no idea what to do next—whether to pursue or not.

After escaping, Ye Liuyun realized the aliens weren’t giving chase and quickly understood: without a leader, they were directionless.

He immediately released Fuyang. "Go recall all the aliens you unleashed back into the spatial worlds." To make it less suspicious, he also released two other spatial worlds containing alien elites to accompany Fuyang on his return.

"...Yes." Fuyang could only sigh in resignation before turning back.

The moment the aliens saw Fuyang return, they felt a surge of relief—finally, someone to take charge.

Fuyang, however, had no patience for explanations. With a sharp command, he ordered them to assemble, then without another word, pulled them all back into the spatial worlds.

The alien races, sensing Fuyang’s foul mood, dared not ask any questions and obediently allowed themselves to be drawn back into the spatial world.

As for the stationed alien forces, Fuyang paid them no mind either. Without a word, it turned and left with the two powerful alien warriors by its side. The stationed commanders and soldiers didn’t dare ask what they were supposed to do next. They simply watched the group depart, exchanging bewildered glances before shaking their heads helplessly.

Ye Liuyun withdrew Fuyang and the other aliens back into the spatial world but didn’t return himself. Instead, he left the cleanup to Broken Horn and its troops while he focused on absorbing the soul energy from the Divine Decree to aid in digestion.

Once the clone completed its mission—destroying one of the alien altars—it pulled Ye Liuyun back into the spatial world to oversee the operation from there, directing Broken Horn and the other alien elites to secure a single remaining planet.

After Broken Horn dealt with the remaining aliens and finished scavenging the battlefield, it distributed the spoils among the soldiers on the surviving planet.

Only after Ye Liuyun had fully absorbed Fuyang’s soul energy did he and his clone regroup with Broken Horn to discuss how to handle the remaining alien forces. The twenty-one elite warriors under Fuyang’s command were also released.

When Broken Horn saw Fuyang, its expression twisted in shock. Fuyang, meanwhile, looked thoroughly embarrassed, unable to muster a single word.

Fuyang had possessed a pavilion capable of teleporting back to the alien stronghold, which Ye Liuyun had now confiscated.

But without its soul energy, Fuyang was practically useless. Ye Liuyun assigned it directly to Broken Horn’s command, where it could at least serve as a scout—its keen eyesight still allowed it to see great distances. Moreover, Fuyang’s spatial world was vast enough to transport a significant number of warriors.

Yet their haul this time was overwhelming. Inside Fuyang’s spatial world, there were still five alien overlords at the ninth level of mastery who hadn’t been released earlier. In total, the alien forces included over fifty thousand elite warriors and an army of five million.

Subduing them one by one would take forever.

So Ye Liuyun had his clone pull all twenty-one aliens into the spatial world. There, time moved faster, and the clone could manipulate the environment at will, making it far easier to brand them with slave seals.

But the sheer number of aliens was staggering. Even if they wanted to impose slave seals, controlling so many at once would be impossible for the clone.

Instead, the clone resorted to mass contracts. It had the twenty-one aliens release their own forces from their spatial worlds and forced them to sign collective oaths of loyalty.

For those who resisted or led rebellions, the clone simply erased them on the spot—absorbing their soul energy while tossing the corpses to the demonic races. Once a batch was subdued, the clone handed them over to Broken Horn.

As for the ninth-level overlords, the clone branded each with a slave seal. Ye Liuyun figured that controlling these key figures was enough—there was no need to dominate the entire horde.
