Chapter 2787: Chapter 2787

Ye Liuyun seized every moment to cultivate before encountering any alien races.

Yet, as his divine sense swept through the starry expanse, he suddenly detected seven human martial practitioners, all at the seventh or eighth level of the Dominator realm, also heading toward the alien territory. They had clearly noticed him too but paid him no mind.

Puzzled, Ye Liuyun urged his falcon forward to catch up and inquire.

The group remained indifferent as he approached, continuing their journey without pause—only a woman among them spared a fleeting glance at his falcon. 𝘧𝓇𝑒𝑒𝑤ℯ𝑏𝓃𝘰𝑣ℯ𝘭.𝘤ℴ𝘮

Instantly, Ye Liuyun realized the truth: his low cultivation level had once again made him an unwelcome presence.

"Friends," he called out politely, "are you heading toward the alien lands?"

The group maintained their pace, but Ye Liuyun’s falcon was swift, and they couldn’t shake him off.

An elderly man, perhaps sensing the awkward silence, finally replied, "We’re launching a raid on the aliens. And you, young man?"

"Perfect—I’m going the same way. Why not travel together?" Ye Liuyun suggested.

Seeing that their mission aligned with his own, he hoped to forge some camaraderie.

But a young man in the group scoffed, "At your level, you’d just be dead weight! Go back and train some more before trying this. We don’t want to waste energy babysitting you!"

His words weren’t entirely unfair. At the fourth level of the Dominator realm, Ye Liuyun truly wasn’t fit to join them—he would only slow them down. The young man wasn’t being malicious; if they’d harbored ill intent, they would’ve simply robbed him outright.

The rest of the group chuckled good-naturedly, continuing on without another glance in his direction.

The elder added kindly, "You’ve got spirit, lad. But venturing into alien territory at your current strength is too risky. Go home, train harder, and return when you’re stronger."

Seeing their genuine lack of hostility, Ye Liuyun could only nod. "Very well. Best of luck to you all."

With that, he prepared to leave with his falcon.

The old man courteously clasped his hands in farewell.

Just then, the woman from the group suddenly called out to Ye Liuyun, "Would you sell that falcon?"

"Haha, junior sister, if this kid sells his falcon, it’ll take him a year just to reach the alien outpost!" The man who had mocked Ye Liuyun earlier laughed again.

Ye Liuyun scratched his head awkwardly. "I really can’t sell it. This falcon is my partner."

"Oh." The woman responded flatly, not sparing him another glance as she continued on her way.

The group had sensed that despite Ye Liuyun’s modest cultivation level, he possessed the determination and courage to fight the alien invaders. That was why they hadn’t resorted to seizing the falcon by force.

Ye Liuyun mounted his falcon and returned to his original path, resuming his journey toward the alien territory while cultivating along the way. The two groups maintained a similar pace.

When the others noticed Ye Liuyun hadn’t turned back, they teased him again, calling him stubborn.

Knowing their jabs were harmless, Ye Liuyun ignored them. But as he pressed forward, his golden pupils suddenly caught sight of a patrol squad of winged aliens up ahead.

This group wasn’t particularly strong—the highest among them was only at the seventh level of the Dominator realm—but they were numerous and split into two squads, one in front and one behind. This formation ensured that even if the front squad was ambushed, the rear squad could swiftly retreat to raise the alarm.

Realizing that the other team could handle the front squad, Ye Liuyun immediately urged his falcon to speed up, taking a detour to intercept the rear squad.

The martial cultivators noticed Ye Liuyun’s sudden acceleration but couldn’t fathom his intentions. The woman sighed enviously, wishing she had a falcon like his.

Soon, however, they spotted the approaching winged aliens and quickly fanned out to encircle them.

Just as they launched their attack, Ye Liuyun, positioned ahead of them, simultaneously engaged the other squad of winged aliens.

He simply used the power of time to brand those winged aliens with slave marks before stashing them away in his spatial world.

The seven martial cultivators had already detected through their divine sense that Ye Liuyun was engaging another group of winged aliens. But by the time they finished their own battle, only Ye Liuyun and his falcon remained on his side.

After dealing with his enemies, Ye Liuyun calmly returned to his original path, making no effort to avoid them.

Now it was their turn to be intrigued.

"That kid seems to have some tricks up his sleeve. Not so simple after all!" the old man mused.

Clearly, Ye Liuyun had spotted the winged aliens before they did—not just the first group, but also the second. He must have calculated that they could handle the first wave, so he accelerated ahead to eliminate the reinforcements before they could report back.

Even stranger was his method of dispatching them—vanishing the aliens without so much as a ripple of energy. Whether he had killed them or captured them remained a mystery. But judging by this alone, his true combat prowess likely surpassed theirs.

After a brief discussion, they decided to approach him. Seeing them draw near, Ye Liuyun knew they had witnessed his actions.

Instead of ignoring them, he clasped his hands politely in greeting.

"Young friend, this old man is Pang Kuan. My eyes failed me earlier—I didn’t recognize your skill. I hope you won’t hold it against me," the elder said warmly.

"You flatter me, Elder. I’m Ye Liuyun, just a man of minor tricks. My strength is truly lacking," Ye Liuyun replied modestly.

"I’m Pang Qing," the young man who had mocked him earlier cut in. "Did you subjugate those winged aliens or slaughter them?"

"Brother Pang," Ye Liuyun acknowledged with a nod. "Killing them would’ve been a waste. I kept them—using aliens to fight aliens."

"So you have a grudge against them too?" the woman asked curiously.

"These invaders have made plenty of enemies," Ye Liuyun said evenly. "But no, they haven’t harmed my friends or family."

"Hey kid, how about we take a break and chat?" Pang Kuan suggested to Ye Liuyun.

"Sounds good!" Ye Liuyun immediately slowed his falcon down and came to a stop.

The group paused in the vast expanse of space. The others took the opportunity to grab a bite and replenish their energy. Ye Liuyun offered to roast some meat for them.

"So, young man, where are you from? We’re all from the Green Lotus Star System," the old man said to Ye Liuyun.

Ye Liuyun chuckled. "Honestly, I don’t even know where the Green Lotus Star System is! I’m from the Silver Fox Star System. Back home, our system was nearly destroyed by the alien invaders before we finally drove them out.

"I’ve got a deep hatred for those creatures. If they aren’t wiped out for good, they’ll just keep causing havoc everywhere. That’s why I’ve been hunting them down relentlessly."

Pang Kuan nodded in understanding. "Our star system’s situation isn’t much different from yours. The only thing is, all of us here have lost loved ones to those aliens. We’ve got a blood debt with them that can never be settled!

"You, on the other hand—you don’t even have a personal grudge against them, yet you’re out here fighting to protect others. That makes you far nobler than any of us!"
