Chapter 2785: Chapter 2785

Ye Liuyun didn’t leave the Scorpion Galaxy immediately.

Broken Horn had already foreseen their defeat when the Blue Armor army suffered its first major loss and had sent out a distress signal. At the time, two nearby alien clans had responded, promising reinforcements—though they hadn’t arrived yet, likely due to time constraints.

After the demon clans defeated the aliens, the various tribes scattered back to their own territories. Regrouping them now would be difficult, and there was a risk they might be caught off guard by the incoming alien reinforcements.

Coincidentally, the Demon-Sealing Stele and the Demon Vine had just broken through to new realms and needed energy to stabilize their power. Battling the aliens was the best way for them to absorb that energy. Ye Liuyun didn’t have an overwhelmingly negative impression of the demon clans, and since they harbored no strong hostility toward him, he saw no reason to slaughter them.

So he decided to stay, intending to eliminate the alien reinforcements before leaving. That way, he wouldn’t have taken so many demon-controlled worlds for nothing.

Every day, Ye Liuyun and his doppelgänger took turns scanning the starry skies with their golden pupils. Though Lei Ming’s golden pupils had also improved significantly, he still didn’t fully trust her—worried she might get distracted and neglect her duties.

Before long, Ye Liuyun spotted a group of winged aliens approaching. He immediately moved to intercept them, releasing his own winged alien subordinate—a powerhouse at the eighth level of Dominance.

The moment the opposing winged aliens saw one of their own kind—and such a formidable one at that—they slowed down and halted.

"Which clan do you belong to, and what brings you here?" Ye Liuyun had his winged alien inquire.

"Reporting to you, esteemed one," the alien replied. "We are from a nearby clan. We received a distress signal from the Elder Council and came to offer reinforcements."

"Reinforcements? Just this handful of you?" Ye Liuyun pressed through his controlled subordinate.

"We’re just the scouts," the alien explained truthfully. "Behind us is an army of a million. We also encountered another clan on the way—they’re sending reinforcements too, with five hundred thousand warriors!"

Upon hearing this, Ye Liuyun immediately used his temporal power to brand them with slave seals and extracted their memories to assess the strength of the incoming reinforcements.

The reinforcements weren’t weak—only the strong would dare come, after all. They would arrive in just over half a month, giving Ye Liuyun ample time to prepare.

He gathered all the alien warriors and urged them to seize every moment to enhance their strength. The remaining alien forces under his command numbered around five to six hundred, along with over fifty thousand elite Blue Armor warriors. 𝗳𝚛𝚎𝚎𝘄𝕖𝕓𝕟𝕠𝚟𝚎𝕝.𝗰𝕠𝐦

Ye Liuyun felt that his alien army was too large, which only led to a waste of resources. Instead of maintaining such numbers, he believed it would be more practical to focus on cultivating a few top-tier warriors at the ninth level of Dominance. Thus, he decided to keep only enough aliens for himself and his companions to spar with, while allowing the rest to consume one another to elevate their cultivation.

However, the aliens informed him that while this method could indeed boost their power, advancing from the eighth to the ninth level of Dominance was particularly difficult, with a low success rate.

"Then just consume more!"

Ye Liuyun wasn’t concerned. With an army of 1.5 million soon to arrive, he saw this as a prime opportunity to nurture a few formidable alien warriors.

He selected three eighth-level Dominance aliens for cultivation: Broken Horn, the strongest of the winged aliens, and a three-eyed alien. The three-eyed one had already devoured several of its kin during the recent battle, and its black-and-white light abilities were no longer weak.

These aliens were then taken into the spatial world by his doppelgänger, where time acceleration allowed them to train rapidly.

The fifty thousand Blue Armor warriors became their ideal prey—not only were they numerous, but their cultivation levels were high, with the weakest at the fifth level of Dominance. Broken Horn had spent years and countless resources to build this elite force to its current strength.

Ye Liuyun made sure nothing went to waste, instructing the three to start with the lowest-level warriors.

Their devouring speed was astonishing. Within three months in the accelerated space, they had consumed nearly twenty thousand fifth-level Dominance Blue Armor aliens, feasting almost nonstop every day.

Yet, only Broken Horn showed signs of a breakthrough. Given his solid foundation and dense true essence, it was no surprise he advanced first.

"Keep going!"

Unfazed by the losses, Ye Liuyun ordered them to move on to the seventh-level Dominance Blue Armor warriors to speed up the process. Another month later, Broken Horn broke through to the ninth level of Dominance. Shortly after, before the alien reinforcements arrived, the winged alien also reached the ninth level.

Only the three-eyed alien lagged behind. Having just recently advanced to the eighth level, its foundation was the weakest, requiring far more energy to progress.

Ye Liuyun let it continue consuming to grow stronger while he deployed the two-million-strong armies of Qin Peng and Kui Shan, positioning them in the void to face the enemy.

This marked their first true battle amidst the stars. Though the army had conducted drills and engaged in minor skirmishes in space before, a confrontation of this scale was entirely unprecedented. The other commanders emerged to observe, eager to grasp the nuances of stellar warfare.

Two million troops and over ten thousand Lynx-class warships formed their battle lines across the void—a formidable sight indeed.

The demon tribes, intrigued by the sudden reappearance of this massive force, sent scouts to investigate. Upon learning that these forces had come to aid them against the alien reinforcements, they raised no objections. In fact, several nearby clans even mobilized their own elite warriors to lend support.

The alien reinforcements had never anticipated a space battle either. But with Ye Liuyun’s forces already arrayed for combat, hesitation would leave them vulnerable to encirclement. Reluctantly, they disembarked from their ships and advanced in formation.

Ye Liuyun and his doppelganger quickly identified the strongest warriors among the enemy ranks. Though their numbers were modest—just over a thousand—half were at the sixth or seventh level of Dominance, with a handful even reaching the eighth.

By most standards, this was a formidable force. But Ye Liuyun remained unperturbed. Unleashing his blue-armored alien warriors alone would suffice to crush them—no need to even deploy the Violet Kylin.

As the battle commenced, Ye Liuyun and his doppelganger struck first, manipulating temporal forces to seize over two hundred enemy elites in an instant. Then, with a wave of his hand, he released Broken Horn and Wings—two Dominance-level-nine aliens—along with twenty thousand blue-armored warriors, charging straight into the heart of the enemy formation.

The Vanguard Corps and Yuan Hao’s twenty-thousand-strong guard followed closely behind, seizing the opportunity to sharpen their combat skills.

The moment the alien reinforcements saw Broken Horn leading the blue-armored charge, realization struck—they were too late. Broken Horn had already been captured, and worse, his power had surged to Dominance-level-nine. Victory now seemed all but impossible.

Yet retreat was no longer an option. A disorderly withdrawal would shatter their formation, inviting slaughter. Their only hope was to hold the front line long enough for the rear guard to pull back, creating enough distance to escape aboard their ships.
