Chapter 2783: Chapter 2783

The one-horned blue-armored elder proved to be no pushover either. In no time, he orchestrated another counterattack, deploying all remaining forces and elite warriors to launch a full-scale assault on one of Ye Liuyun’s flanking armies.

"Hold the line at all costs!" Even Ye Liuyun was caught off guard by the suddenness of the enemy’s retaliation.

Ye Liuyun, Yu Xiaofeng, and Qin Peng had all issued the same order to that army—stand firm. The unit was temporarily under the command of Man Feng, who had taken over Yu Xiaofeng’s role.

Without hesitation, Ye Liuyun redirected the elite alien-hunting squad and the Spirit Cat Fleet to reinforce the embattled flank. Simultaneously, he summoned Yuan Hao and his Silver Armor Guard for backup.

Meanwhile, Yu Xiaofeng dispatched the Nine-Headed Demon Dragon to alert the demon forces, urging them to seize the opportunity and launch multi-pronged attacks on the alien invaders to reclaim lost territory. The coordinated strikes from both sides once again put the aliens on the defensive.

While fending off the alien offensive, Ye Liuyun also deployed Xiao Yunfang and Meng Qingyin’s troops to form a secondary defensive line.

The aliens, however, had abandoned all thought of holding their positions. The one-horned blue-armored elder knew that if they failed to break through this time, total annihilation was inevitable.

Thus, he personally led the remaining alien forces in a desperate charge against Ye Liuyun’s million-strong garrison. Every elite warrior was thrown into the vanguard. On Ye Liuyun’s side, the three-eyed aliens from both factions immediately engaged in a deadly exchange of black and white energy beams.

Ye Liuyun and his doppelgänger unleashed their temporal powers to the fullest, capturing as many three-eyed aliens as possible. Once their time manipulation was exhausted, the Violet Kylin stepped in, delivering the final blows and wiping out the enemy’s three-eyed elites.

With their own three-eyed aliens now holding the advantage, Ye Liuyun’s forces decimated a significant portion of the enemy’s top fighters.

From then on, Ye Liuyun conserved his temporal energy, keeping it in reserve to counter the one-horned elder’s potential moves.

Once his doppelgänger’s temporal abilities recharged, he activated them again, this time using white energy beams to systematically pick off the red-armored aliens. This precision targeting proved far more efficient, and soon, the enemy’s red-armored ranks were obliterated.

The Violet Kylin then turned its focus to the winged aliens. Together, they eliminated the remaining alien elites with special abilities.

Meanwhile, the Spirit Cat Fleet in the skies began targeting the winged aliens, coordinating with ground forces to bombard the alien army.

The alien troops, now mostly composed of blue-armored soldiers charging at the front, initially dealt heavy blows to Ye Liuyun’s forces. But Yuan Hao and his Silver Armor Guard arrived just in time to intercept them, halting their advance. The ensuing battle was brutal on both sides.

Were it not for the Nine-Headed Demon Dragon, the Vespera, and other demonic beasts assisting them with their black-and-white energy beams to eliminate those blue-armored aliens, Yuan Hao would have struggled to hold them off.

They were fighting for their very survival, so of course they fought with everything they had. Man Feng’s army was also being rapidly depleted. As the battle raged on, the alien elites had yet to be fully wiped out, yet his forces had already lost over 300,000 soldiers. It was clear just how ferocious the alien assault had been.

Man Feng, however, followed orders to the letter, commanding his troops to hold the line at all costs, refusing to give the aliens any opening. They clung stubbornly to their defenses.

Only when the number of alien elites dwindled, and the Spirit Cat battleships gained the upper hand, did the alien army’s offensive begin to weaken.

"All forces, charge!"

Seizing the moment, Man Feng ordered his remaining soldiers to go on the offensive, shifting from defense to attack as they surged toward the alien ranks.

"Roar!"

The blue-armored elder with the broken horn let out a furious bellow, rallying his remaining forces to continue their frenzied assault. The battlefield instantly transformed into a massive meat grinder. Both sides clashed repeatedly along the defensive line, corpses piling up in layers upon layers.

At that moment, the doppelgänger led the remaining three-eyed aliens in another charge against the alien elites, unleashing another devastating wave of black-and-white energy.

Only then did the broken-horned elder let out a resigned sigh and order a full retreat.

They still had several hundred warriors at the sixth and seventh levels of mastery left, but none at the eighth level remained. If even these elites were wiped out, the rest of their army would stand no chance of escape. Man Feng, seizing the opportunity, led his troops in pursuit.

But the broken-horned elder was no fool. Even in retreat, he maintained disciplined defenses, leaving behind a rearguard to cover their withdrawal.

After a fierce but costly skirmish, Man Feng decided the losses were too great and called off the chase.

Ye Liuyun also chose not to pursue further, allowing the remnants of the alien forces to flee.

By the end of the battle, Yuan Hao’s Silver Armor Guard had been nearly annihilated, Man Feng’s million-strong army was reduced to just 500,000, and the alien elites under Ye Liuyun’s command numbered a mere 500 or so.

However, the alien forces fared even worse. Their entire army was reduced to less than seven hundred thousand, with their elite Blue Armor troops completely annihilated. The remaining soldiers were mostly weak in combat capability.

The number of alien powerhouses was now roughly on par with Ye Liuyun’s forces, but their quality paled in comparison. Almost all of their Dominator-level experts at the eighth tier had fallen to Ye Liuyun’s side. Among the remaining alien elites, most were only at the sixth tier of Dominator, whereas Ye Liuyun’s forces were predominantly at the seventh tier.

As the aliens retreated, Qin Peng’s army immediately pursued, tightening the encirclement. Man Feng’s troops were pulled back for rest and reorganization, while Kui Shan’s forces established an additional outer layer of siege around Qin Peng’s army. Xiao Yunfang and Meng Qingyin remained split into two separate units, poised to strike at any moment.

Half of Yuan Hao’s army stood ready for immediate action, while the other half focused on replenishing their ranks.

Thus, the aliens were trapped in an inescapable siege, with no chance of breaking free.

Meanwhile, the demonic faction seized the opportunity to reclaim many planets previously occupied by the aliens. The alien forces were now cornered on three planets forming a triangular formation. Eventually, they voluntarily shrank their defensive lines, abandoning two of the planets to prevent the demons from exploiting their weakness.

By this point, the outcome of the war was already clear.

The aliens were now solely focused on finding a way to escape, too afraid to make any reckless moves. Ye Liuyun, on the other hand, was strategizing how to intercept them while conserving his own strength, refraining from launching unnecessary attacks.

The demons, however, were debating whether to take the initiative and compete with Ye Liuyun for the aliens’ remaining resources. Without hesitation, they dispatched three hundred thousand troops to test the waters while the aliens were still reeling from their recent defeat. This force managed to eliminate half of the remaining alien elites and wiped out another three hundred thousand of their soldiers.

Fearing that Ye Liuyun might swoop in and claim the spoils, the demons immediately committed their entire remaining force—over five hundred thousand warriors—to launch a full-scale assault on the aliens.

Understanding the demons’ intentions, Ye Liuyun held his troops back and instead struck a deal with them: the demons could keep all the alien corpses after the battle, along with any resources like storage rings.

Yet, he kept an even closer watch on the alien forces to prevent any escape attempts.

With their backs against the wall and no retreat possible, the aliens fought with desperate ferocity. The battle was brutal on both sides, but the demons continued to reinforce their ranks, gradually gaining the upper hand.

From a distance, Ye Liuyun observed the blue-armored elder with the broken horn. Despite the chaos, the elder remained composed, directing the alien elites to concentrate their attacks on the demons’ weak points. Ye Liuyun couldn’t help but silently acknowledge the elder’s prowess—truly a worthy leader of the Alien Council.
