Chapter 2683: Chapter 2683

"Hongling, go check if he’s coming. I think the tracking function on the messenger talisman shows he’s on his way!" Liu Yunyao urged Hongling impatiently.

"Could it be he’s so eager that he wants to share your bed tonight?" Hongling teased with a giggle before darting out.

Meanwhile, Ye Liuyun had already slipped past her, entering Liu Yunyao’s chamber first. With a swift motion, he removed his invisibility cloak.

Liu Yunyao gasped in surprise, but before she could utter a sound, Ye Liuyun closed the distance in a flash, pressing a firm hand over her mouth. His eyes signaled silence.

"Send Hongling away first," he whispered. Then, draping the cloak over himself again, he melted into the shadows by the wall.

Just then, Hongling pushed the door open once more.

"Your prince charming isn’t here after all. Look how flustered you are! Guess you’ll be keeping your bed warm alone tonight," Hongling joked playfully.

Liu Yunyao burned with a mix of embarrassment and nervousness, wishing the ground would swallow her whole.

"Stop your nonsense! I’ll teach you a lesson one of these days. Now off to bed with you—I need my rest too!" she retorted, shooing Hongling away hastily.

"Fine, fine, I’m going! Sweet dreams—or should I say, romantic ones!" Hongling stuck out her tongue mischievously and scampered off.

Liu Yunyao rushed to bolt the door, her heart hammering wildly against her ribs. The thought that Ye Liuyun might actually stay the night sent her pulse racing.

"What if he... wants me? What should I do?" Panic twisted inside her as she wrung the hem of her dress, fingers trembling.

Ye Liuyun shed the invisibility cloak, revealing himself once more.

At this point, Liu Yunyao couldn’t spare a thought for how he’d concealed himself—her mind was too busy spiraling over what might happen next. 𝒻𝘳ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝒷𝘯ℴ𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝑐ℴ𝑚

"Why so nervous? I’m not going to devour you," Ye Liuyun remarked, noticing her obvious distress.

"This... isn’t this too sudden? I’m not mentally prepared yet..." Liu Yunyao’s voice was as faint as a mosquito’s hum, her head bowed so low she couldn’t bring herself to meet Ye Liuyun’s gaze.

"What’s there to prepare? You’re mine now!" Ye Liuyun said offhandedly.

But then it struck him—he was getting the short end of the stick here. His own woman, and he hadn’t even had a proper look at her before being forced into this arrangement. So without hesitation, he activated his Golden Pupils, taking in the sight with undisguised appreciation.

"Ah!"

Liu Yunyao gasped, though she dared not make too loud a sound for fear of drawing the attention of the other maids. Flustered, she tried to shield herself with her hands, but two arms proved woefully inadequate for the task.

"Don’t... I’m not ready yet... ah..." Her soft, pleading whimpers escaped in a fluster.

Only then did Ye Liuyun smirk triumphantly, relenting for the moment. "I’d be a fool not to take a good look," he teased wickedly.

"You... you’re horrible!" Liu Yunyao retorted with a coquettish pout, raising a hand to swat at him—only for Ye Liuyun to catch her wrist effortlessly.

"Come here." With that, he casually took a seat on the edge of the bed, pulling her toward him. His intention was simply to have her sit beside him so he could explain things properly.

But Liu Yunyao, misreading his actions, thought he could no longer restrain himself.

With a soft "Mmph!"—the moment he tugged her forward, her legs gave way, and she collapsed straight into his arms. Her eyes squeezed shut, too nervous to look at him, her heart pounding so violently it felt ready to leap from her throat.

Peering down at her flustered state, Ye Liuyun couldn’t resist teasing her further. He leaned in and brushed a light kiss against her crimson lips.

"Mmph!"

Another startled whimper escaped her. Her eyelids clamped even tighter, her arms clinging to him desperately, as if he were her lifeline. She buried her face against his chest, nuzzling into him like a frightened kitten seeking refuge.

"Alright, fine. Have it your way," Ye Liuyun relented with an amused sigh, seeing how rigidly she clung to him. He let her stay as she was, making no further moves.

"I came tonight to share some crucial truths with you. Time is of the essence, so focus and listen carefully," Ye Liuyun continued.

"Mmm." Liu Yunyao’s trembling body gradually stilled at his words, though she still didn’t dare to look up at him, choosing instead to remain nestled in his embrace.

Without delay, Ye Liuyun transmitted several cultivation techniques directly into her mind through spiritual sense—Xenocide Concealment Art, Soulquake Wave, Ten Thousand Toxins Scripture, the method for cultivating Dual Divine Souls, Soul Search Technique, and the means to expand a spatial realm. He also explained the resources needed to master these techniques before handing her a Interspatial Ring, detailing its contents.

"That longsword is a grade higher than the one you currently use—you can wield it immediately. These are Energy Storage Stones and Energy Conversion Stones. These pills are for body tempering and refining true essence—you already have the ones for soul refinement. This is a Falcon-class battleship, far more durable and powerful than the ones in your world, though its speed is comparable..."

Some of these items were completely foreign to Liu Yunyao, and her eyes widened with growing curiosity as he spoke. Ye Liuyun didn’t just name them—he explained their functions in detail.

"This is an Invisibility Cloak—the same one I wore when I arrived. It can conceal you, though opponents with significantly higher cultivation or stronger soul power might still detect you.

"This is a dual-layered soft armor that can withstand attacks from a first-level Dominator. You can use it until you reach that realm yourself. And this is Gilded Armor—lightweight and shape-shifting. It can mimic any garment, so you won’t have to worry about your clothes being destroyed in battle.

"This vial contains Life Spring Water. It’s a lifesaver—just one drop can heal even the most grievous wounds, as long as the person isn’t dead. I’ve given you a hundred drops. Use them wisely..."

"All these resources... are for me?" Liu Yunyao stared at him in disbelief, still nestled against his chest as if listening to a fantastical tale.

"Of course." Ye Liuyun chuckled before leaning down to kiss her.

"Mmph!"

Caught off guard, Liu Yunyao let out a soft gasp, her hands instinctively wrapping around his head.

They lingered in the kiss before reluctantly parting. The moment they separated, she buried her flushed face back into his chest in embarrassment.

"Dawn is approaching—I need to finish arranging things for you quickly. Equip what you can and familiarize yourself with them. If you have questions later, just ask me.

"Also, I’m giving you two beast guardians—a Nine-Headed Netherdrake and a Vespera..."

"Monster beasts?" Liu Yunyao’s curiosity was instantly piqued.

"Those are ferocious creatures that deliberately take human form. Ordinary people can’t tell the difference, but now your crimson eyes can see through their disguise."

"Here, put on the gilded armor first." Though reluctant to let go, Ye Liuyun gently helped Liu Yunyao to her feet.

Nestled in Ye Liuyun’s warm embrace, Liu Yunyao felt utterly content. Yet she rose and donned the gilded armor, marveling as it seamlessly adjusted to her form.

She tried on the other treasures as well. Ye Liuyun even guided her in cultivating a wisp of toxic energy from the Ten Thousand Toxins Scripture, ensuring she wouldn’t go astray during solo practice.

When Liu Yunyao draped the invisibility cloak over her shoulders, she vanished completely, delighting in her newfound trick.

"Can you see me?" she asked Ye Liuyun playfully.

"Indeed. My golden pupils are special—they perceive your spiritual essence but not your physical form. Though truth be told," he chuckled, "with your current strength, I could spot you from three miles away even without them. Remember, never use this against opponents far stronger than you."
