Chapter 2665: Chapter 2665

"Forget it, I’m not betting anymore!" In the end, she decided to give up placing any wagers.

Over on Lin Xiaoxiao’s side, seeing her back out, he didn’t dare stir up trouble either. Truth be told, he still wanted to bet on Ye Liuyun winning. But fearing he might offend the Sixth Prince, he reluctantly let go of this money-making opportunity. After all, he’d already pocketed twenty million—not a small sum by any means.

Noticing no one else was placing bets, Ye Liuyun strode back toward the brown lion outside.

As he walked, he taunted with a smirk, "Just a measly second-level Dominator beast, and you think I can’t handle it? If you’re so eager to die, it’d be a shame not to oblige you!"

Though his words were directed at the beast, everyone knew they were really meant for An Tianxin.

Yet Ye Liuyun’s remark sent shockwaves through the crowd, most of whom had no idea what was really going on. 𝐟𝐫𝕖𝗲𝘄𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝕧𝐞𝚕.𝕔𝕠𝐦

"A second-level Dominator beast? Good heavens!"

All eyes turned to An Tianxin, searching his face for confirmation.

The Sixth Prince and An Tianxin, however, were even more stunned. They hadn’t expected Ye Liuyun to see through the beast’s true strength. A sinking feeling settled in the prince’s chest—this gamble was about to backfire spectacularly.

But at the same time, anticipation flared within him. If Ye Liuyun truly had such abilities, then securing his loyalty was worth any price. Losing a few resources was nothing compared to the long-term gain. With Ye Liuyun on his side, high-tier combat beasts would no longer be a concern.

Meanwhile, Ye Liuyun crooked a finger at the lion and jeered, "Come on, then. Let’s get this over with."

With a low, guttural growl, the lion lunged through the air, its second-level Dominator aura erupting like a storm, pressing down on everyone present. The sheer force of its presence sent tremors through the crowd, freezing them in place.

For most, resisting such overwhelming power was impossible. Anyone else would’ve been paralyzed on the spot.

But Ye Liuyun remained utterly unfazed. Calmly, he imprinted a slave seal onto the beast and forcibly erased its soul contract, catching An Tianxin off guard and inflicting spiritual damage in the process.

A second-level Dominator beast could’ve put up a decent fight against Ye Liuyun—had he chosen to engage physically. But revealing his true strength wasn’t part of the plan. Instead, he struck with a soul attack, rendering the lion powerless in an instant.

After gaining control of the brown lion, Ye Liuyun immediately turned it against An Tianxin.

"An Tianxin, your life is mine now!" Ye Liuyun said coldly.

With a deafening roar, the lion unleashed a crushing wave of pressure directly onto An Tianxin. His soul power had always been weak, and the backlash from the broken soul contract had already left him vulnerable. Now, under the lion’s overwhelming force, blood gushed from his eyes, ears, and nose. Even those standing nearby were caught in the shockwave, staggering and collapsing like puppets with cut strings.

Before An Tianxin could even react, the lion swung its massive paw down, reducing him to a pulpy mess.

An Tianxin had provoked Ye Liuyun without reason, and even after being humiliated, he refused to back down—instead launching a shameless soul attack. Such a petty, vengeful man was not someone Ye Liuyun would allow to linger as a threat.

Once he made his decision, he never hesitated. By using the lion to strike, he ensured that neither the Sixth Prince nor Lin Fengzhi could intervene in time. The sheer intimidation of the beast left everyone frozen in place, too terrified to move.

With An Tianxin dead, the lion obediently retreated behind Ye Liuyun, its oppressive aura fading, easing the tension in the air.

With a mere flick of his hand, Ye Liuyun collected the three primal energies the Sixth Prince had released, storing them in his spatial ring.

The crowd was still reeling—first the taming of the lion, then the brutal execution of An Tianxin, and now the effortless absorption of three primal energies. Before anyone could fully process it, Ye Liuyun turned to Lin Xiaoxiao and beckoned.

"Hey, kid. Didn’t you want a fierce beast? This lion’s yours now."

Lin Xiaoxiao stood frozen in disbelief. "You’re giving it to me? A Dominator-level second-realm beast?"

Ye Liuyun smirked. "What? Not interested? If you don’t come get it now, I won’t bother with you later."

Lin Fengzhi snapped out of his daze and quickly sent her a mental message: *Hurry! If you delay, the Sixth Prince or the princess will snatch it away!*

A supreme second-level combatant—something even the royal family didn’t possess—was something anyone would covet. Lin Fengzhi watched his daughter standing there in a daze, growing increasingly anxious.

"I want it!" Only then did Lin Xiaoxiao snap out of her trance. She shouted eagerly and dashed forward.

Ye Liuyun helped her establish a master-servant contract with the brown lion before erasing its slave mark.

"Done. My task is complete," Ye Liuyun said to Lin Xiaoxiao. This counted as fulfilling his promise to capture a beast for her.

Happiness had struck too suddenly. For a moment, Lin Xiaoxiao forgot to thank Ye Liuyun, simply grinning like a fool. Not only had she earned twenty million divine crystals today, but she had also gained a supreme second-level beast. With this creature by her side, she could practically strut through Willowwood Dynasty without a care.

The crowd congratulated her with envy, while the Sixth Prince and the princess both turned their gazes toward Ye Liuyun.

Almost simultaneously, they asked Lin Fengzhi, "Just who is this Master Ye? How does he possess so many resources? And a supreme second-level beast—he just gave it away like it was nothing?"

Everyone present had been stunned when Ye Liuyun subdued the brown lion in an instant and then killed An Tianxin. Even the Sixth Prince and the princess had been too slow to react, which was why they hadn’t stopped Lin Xiaoxiao in time. Otherwise, they would have tried to buy the beast themselves.

A supreme second-level combatant could influence the strength of an entire dynasty. Now, it belonged to Lin Xiaoxiao—effectively, to Lin Fengzhi. This would inevitably shift Lin Fengzhi’s standing in the court, making him a prime target for various factions seeking his favor.

Lin Fengzhi now looked at Ye Liuyun, who met his gaze with a faint smile and a nod. Immediately, Lin Fengzhi understood—this was Ye Liuyun’s way of extending a personal favor. With a supreme second-level combatant at his disposal, his position would be secure from now on.

So he promptly replied to the prince and princess, "As you’ve both witnessed, for someone of Master Ye’s skill, capturing supreme-level beasts is no challenge at all. He has no shortage of resources, nor does he care about losing one or two beasts."

Since Ye Liuyun had done him a favor, Lin Fengzhi saw no reason to voice his suspicions—especially since they were mere conjecture.

Besides, if Ye Liuyun truly were a spy, who knew how many supreme-level beasts he might have hidden? There was no way they could touch him.

As for Ye Liuyun’s abilities, the Sixth Prince and the princess had no doubts. The speed at which he had tamed the beast marked him as a true master among beast tamers.

With Ye Liuyun around, they would never lack high-level combatants again!

This logic wasn’t lost on the two royals—nor on anyone else present. Though most here were sheltered young nobles with little worldly experience, matters of profit and power were lessons they had absorbed since childhood.
