Then, falling back on his usual tactics, Ye Liuyun dispatched the two recently captured Golden Armor Elders, cloaked in invisibility capes, to sabotage the sacrificial altar. Meanwhile, he and his doppelgänger closed in on the alien council hall, poised to strike Starflame at any moment.

At Ye Liuyun’s command, the two alien elders immediately attacked the altar. The deafening explosion drew the attention of every alien in the vicinity. Seizing the moment, Ye Liuyun unleashed Hongguang and the other cloaked alien warriors, along with the Vespera beasts, into the fray. He and his doppelgänger split their focus—one charging at Starflame, the other at a Golden Armor Elder, while the Demon-Suppressing Stele was tasked with subduing the remaining elder.
Starflame lived up to his reputation as a formidable warrior, his instincts razor-sharp. Before Ye Liuyun could even get close, he summoned twenty elite alien warriors from his spatial realm to intercept him—ten of whom were Three-Eyed overlords.
Faced with this unexpected resistance, Ye Liuyun swiftly altered his strategy. Activating his temporal powers, he obliterated all ten Three-Eyed overlords in an instant, collecting their heads into his spatial realm. To him, these Three-Eyed warriors were far more valuable than Starflame alone.
Then, switching places with his doppelgänger, Ye Liuyun redirected his assault toward one of the alien elders while his duplicate used temporal powers to engage Starflame. With a single slash, Ye Liuyun unleashed eighty golden blades of energy, each streaking toward the warriors Starflame had summoned. Without missing a beat, he then warped through space, closing the distance to his chosen target—the alien elder.
Without caring whether his strikes would be fatal, he focused only on momentarily halting their advance, leaving the rest to the combined efforts of Hongguang, Xuanwu, and the other demonic beasts.
The Demon-Sealing Stele had already crashed down onto an elder of the alien race, locking it in a stalemate. But suddenly, the elder summoned twenty silver-armored aliens at the Dominator level to resist the stele’s suction force.
"Purple Kylin Snake, take out those silver-armored aliens!" Ye Liuyun immediately released the Purple Kylin Snake, directing it to attack.
The battle erupted instantly, their clashes shaking the grand hall to its foundations, reducing it to rubble.
Xing Yan was stunned by Ye Liuyun’s swift execution of ten three-eyed aliens. And now, with the appearance of the Purple Kylin Snake, any thought of fighting Ye Liuyun head-on vanished. Instead, he focused on buying time, waiting for reinforcements from Leidon and the others. He hurled a golden orb, encasing himself in its protective glow as he fled into the distance.
The doppelganger slashed with all its might using the Heaven-Devouring Blade, but the artifact’s defenses held firm.
"Use the White Light or Black Light!"
Ye Liuyun’s mental warning reached the doppelganger—they couldn’t afford to drag this out, not with Leidon’s reinforcements on the way.
Meanwhile, Ye Liuyun himself channeled the power of the spatial realm, swinging his blade toward the golden-armored elder.
The elder, in turn, summoned twenty silver-armored aliens to block the attack. Ye Liuyun’s strike cleaved through three of them in an instant.
Realizing the danger, the elder spun around and bolted after Xing Yan, leaving the remaining silver-armored aliens to stall Ye Liuyun.
"Purple Kylin Snake!" Ye Liuyun called again for assistance.
Unexpectedly, the Purple Kylin Snake had grown cunning—instead of aiding Ye Liuyun, it froze time and lunged straight for the golden-armored elder. A single brutal swipe of its claws shattered the elder’s skull, splattering brain matter.
"Uh... then go help the doppelganger!"
As time resumed, Ye Liuyun had no chance to praise its cleverness. He immediately swung his blade again, cutting down the silver-armored aliens surrounding him.
Thus, the Violet Kylin once again wielded the power of time, darting ahead of Starflame and slamming it—along with its golden barrier—down to the ground with a mighty swipe.
Yet, the golden barrier proved remarkably resilient, holding firm against the Violet Kylin’s assault.
The doppelgänger closed in and unleashed a beam of white light, finally piercing through the golden barrier and blasting a gaping hole through Starflame’s chest.
But Starflame, clearly drawing upon the power of its spatial realm, froze the wound in place and attempted to flee once more. The golden barrier instantly repaired itself, as if it had never been breached.
Without hesitation, the doppelgänger invoked the power of time again, freezing the moment, then intensified the white light and aimed it straight at Starflame’s head.
Had Starflame known it would meet such an ignoble end, it might have chosen to stand and fight Ye Liuyun head-on rather than flee. But alas, before it could unleash its full strength, Ye Liuyun’s white light struck it down.
And with time frozen, Starflame died before it could even send a warning to Leyton.
The moment Starflame perished, the golden barrier dissipated, condensing into a small golden orb that hovered in the air.
Ye Liuyun reached out, collecting both the golden orb and Starflame’s corpse into his spatial realm. As he turned to retrieve the body of another elder, the Demon-Sealing Stele rushed ahead, already devouring the elder’s energy.
Left with no choice, the doppelgänger simply took the storage rings from the two elders.
By now, chaos reigned both inside and outside the grand hall. The foreign warriors Ye Liuyun had dispatched wore cloaks of invisibility, leaving the silver-armored enemies swinging wildly at empty air, unable to locate their foes.
Many of the foreign warriors fell to ambushes, their bodies swiftly whisked away the moment they died.
As the number of corpses dwindled, only a handful of Sovereign-level foreign warriors remained in the hall.
Suddenly, Ye Liuyun sensed powerful auras approaching. Activating his golden pupils, he gazed into the starry void and saw Leyton leading the ambush forces, rushing to Starflame’s aid.
"Fall back!" Ye Liuyun commanded.
His forces immediately gathered around him, vanishing into his spatial realm, while the Demon-Sealing Stele retreated into his consciousness. Alone now, Ye Liuyun used spatial power to escape.
Once he reached the void, he froze in place, letting Leyton and his forces streak past him unnoticed. Silently, he slipped away.
Meanwhile, the Demonvine struck, killing the commander of the foreign army with a single white beam before dragging the corpse underground to consume it.
Dian Qing and Zhou Ning also sprang into action, targeting enemy commanders while cutting down swathes of lesser soldiers in the process.
