Chapter 2585: Chapter 2585

Ye Liuyun found the clamor of the ferocious beasts and demonic races within the allied forces too distracting, interfering with his ability to detect the movements of the alien races inside the city.

So, he summoned Thunderclap, the Dragon Maiden, and the Nine-Headed Demon Dragon, commanding them to reveal their true forms in the sky. Their overwhelming bloodline pressure and demonic aura instantly cowed all the ferocious beasts and demonic beings.

After the three of them circled the city once, the entire army fell into dead silence. Wherever they passed, ferocious beasts prostrated themselves on the ground, and the demonic races stood frozen in place, not daring to make the slightest disturbance.

When they returned, Ye Liuyun nodded in satisfaction. "That’s more like it! An army should have discipline—this chaotic noise was unacceptable!"

Meanwhile, Lie Du and Meng Qingyin were stunned to discover that Ye Liuyun had the Vermilion Bird, White Tiger, Vespera, and even a true dragon by his side.

These legendary beasts were something they had only heard of in myths—never had they imagined they truly existed.

Even the likes of the Violet Kylin, Nine-Headed Demon Dragon, Thunderclap Dragon, and the three-headed, six-armed Stone Ape were beyond their wildest expectations.

What shocked them even more was that all these beasts had evolved into demonic spirits. The elder of the allied ferocious beasts, a black-and-gold striped tiger, was so envious that he resolved to seek Ye Liuyun’s guidance on demonic transformation after the battle—no matter the cost.

The moment he learned that Ye Liuyun commanded an entire White Tiger Legion, his envy had already reached its peak.

With the entire besieging army now deathly silent, the alien races inside the city grew increasingly terrified, believing a full-scale assault was imminent.

From the moment they had chosen to dig in, they knew this place would become their grave. Many of the weaker aliens had already been devoured by their own kind before the battle even began.

Unlike the eerie quiet outside, the city echoed with the agonized wails of the consumed—a living hell on earth.

Through sound and aerial observation, Ye Liuyun knew exactly what the aliens were doing. But he paid it no mind, instead focusing on letting his soldiers replenish their energy.

Even if the aliens could boost their strength by cannibalizing their own, the gains would be negligible in such a short time.

Now, his only concern was how to annihilate every last one of them. The aliens had dug their own graves by trapping themselves in this city—and he had no intention of letting them escape.

However, how to launch the attack with minimal losses was something he needed to discuss with the others.

Ye Liuyun summoned Qiong Qi and the other formation masters to assist, tasking them with first assessing how to dismantle the enemy’s formations.

After leading the formation masters on a quick reconnaissance, Qiong Qi returned promptly.

"The alien races have set up too many formations," Qiong Qi reported. "Each one is different—there’s no way to dismantle them all at once. We’ll have to break them down gradually while attacking."

"Fair enough," Ye Liuyun agreed. "Then let’s gather all our siege equipment and begin the assault. The formation masters will coordinate to locate the core nodes, allowing our weapons to focus their firepower on dismantling them."

With the decision made, the siege engines in Ye Liuyun’s army were swiftly deployed, bombarding the enemy formations. Meanwhile, Qiong Qi and the other formation masters directed the assault from the sidelines.

Ye Liuyun and his strongest fighters, including his doppelgangers, stood guard to protect the formation masters from potential ambushes by the alien forces.

Before long, the enemy’s formations were dismantled layer by layer. Inside the city, the alien formation masters scrambled to set up new defenses, but the relentless bombardment from Ye Liuyun’s siege weapons overwhelmed them. Many formations collapsed after just a few strikes, and the aliens simply couldn’t keep up with the speed of destruction.

Still, completely dismantling all the formations wasn’t something that could be accomplished in a day or two. If Ye Liuyun continued expending resources at this rate, the energy consumption alone would be staggering.

After observing for a while, Ye Liuyun realized that sustaining this level of expenditure would turn this battle into a losing venture. The resources provided by the alliance wouldn’t be enough to cover such massive consumption.

So he immediately called off the attack. The alliance shared the same concern—they couldn’t afford to keep supporting such a drain on their reserves.

"Withdraw the siege equipment and pull back the alliance forces," Ye Liuyun ordered decisively, relaying the command to Yu Xiaofeng. "Have our troops prepare for a full-scale assault."

The alliance, assuming Ye Liuyun intended to lure the aliens out, promptly ordered their own forces to retreat.

Yu Xiaofeng ordered his troops to retreat slightly but remain poised for attack, dividing the army into multiple units to encircle the city.

Meng Qingyin and Lie Du were both baffled by Ye Liuyun’s intentions. However, they knew better than to interfere with his battle strategies, so they silently observed.

After consulting with his doppelgänger, Ye Liuyun decided to strike together, harnessing the power of the spatial realm to shatter the enemy’s formation in one decisive blow.

Once the army was in position, Ye Liuyun and his doppelgänger sprang into action. The doppelgänger first froze time, channeling the full force of the spatial realm to bombard the formation repeatedly, obliterating most of its defenses.

Without missing a beat, Ye Liuyun followed up, freezing time once more and unleashing another devastating spatial assault to annihilate the remaining formations. He even delivered an extra strike—this one aimed directly at the command tent of the alien forces.

Inside the tent were seven or eight alien commanders, over a dozen Dominator-level warriors, and several three-eyed aliens. Ye Liuyun’s attack, infused with overwhelming power, crushed the entire tent into the ground.

Those inside, if not killed outright, were left crippled and incapable of rejoining the battle.

Only then did Ye Liuyun release his hold on time, allowing it to resume its normal flow.

To onlookers, it appeared as though Ye Liuyun had shattered all the enemy formations with a single palm strike before obliterating their command center.

A deafening **BOOM** erupted as the combined force of Ye Liuyun and his doppelgänger’s attacks detonated simultaneously.

The entire Alliance World trembled under the impact. Had Ye Liuyun unleashed the full might of the spatial realms himself, the world might have collapsed entirely.

The sheer ferocity of the assault left both allies and enemies stunned, frozen in shock where they stood.

"**Attack!**"

Yu Xiaofeng was the first to snap out of it, immediately rallying his troops to charge.

When Ye Liuyun had instructed him to prepare earlier, he had guessed that his leader planned an unconventional method to break the formation—but he never expected sheer brute force.

*Just how monstrously powerful has Ye Liuyun become?* he marveled inwardly.

"**Charge!**"

With a thunderous battle cry, the million-strong Death Legion stormed the city, slaughtering the alien forces without mercy.

War chariots and puppet beasts led the charge, while energy cannons rained destruction from the walls above. Hawks circled the skies, swiftly shooting down any alien daring to take flight.
