Chapter 2507: Chapter 2507

Under the collective efforts of everyone, the remaining alien invaders were swiftly eradicated.

The first assault of the alien forces had thus been repelled. However, the ten thousand martial cultivators led by Ye Liuyun had suffered over fifty percent casualties.

By all accounts, this outcome was already a victory for Ye Liuyun and his forces. If they could keep up this momentum, the six million alien invaders would stand no chance against them.

Ye Liuyun promptly recalled the Gold-Devouring Beast and ordered his troops to quickly scour the battlefield. The corpses were left to the demonic vines, but the scattered resources provided a substantial haul for the surviving martial cultivators.

Upon returning, Ye Liuyun recruited another batch of martial cultivators skilled in hand-to-hand combat. However, he imposed strict cultivation-level restrictions—those too weak were turned away, as they would only become liabilities if turned into undead puppets by the enemy.

Meanwhile, martial cultivators from all regions had responded with overwhelming enthusiasm, flooding in with numbers exceeding forty million. Their cultivation levels varied wildly.

Left with no choice, Ye Liuyun instructed Xiao Mu’an to issue an order halting further recruitment. Additionally, martial cultivators below the seventh level of the Immortal Realm were advised to leave the cities near the battlefield.

Managing such a massive influx would only burden the army further.

Ye Liuyun then began reorganizing his forces, deploying regular soldiers to guard the major cities on the flanks while the strongest martial cultivators held the central city, forming a triangular defensive formation.

The remaining martial cultivators were stationed in rear cities, awaiting further orders.

Ye Liuyun’s own army of a million troops remained in the void, ready to reinforce as needed.

Though the alien forces had lost this battle, their losses were merely a test—a drop in the ocean for them.

They found Ye Liuyun’s tactics particularly troublesome, realizing that breaking through his defenses would likely come at a steep price.

In response, they began training a portion of their soldiers in unarmed combat and selected martial cultivators with strong soul power, preparing for another assault.

Ye Liuyun, too, knew that the Gold-Devouring Beast could no longer be relied upon—the enemy would surely devise a countermeasure.

So this time, he planned to use falcons, chariots, and energy cannons to bombard the alien forces charging out. Even if they couldn’t completely stop them, they would at least make them pay a heavy price. 𝕗𝐫𝐞𝕖𝕨𝐞𝗯𝚗𝕠𝘃𝐞𝚕.𝐜𝗼𝚖

As for the Gold-Devourer, he wasn’t about to abandon it entirely—it could still be used for occasional ambushes.

Thus, Ye Liuyun made his preparations in advance. Aside from ordering Yu Xiaofeng to gather all available falcons for battle, he also assembled chariots and energy cannons around the battlefield, deploying 300,000 martial cultivators to guard them.

The Demon Vine was once again hidden underground in ambush.

Ye Liuyun’s companions, both human and beast, were ready to join the fight. His ten metal puppets, the forty-one captured third-level Heavenly Realm experts, and over seventy second-level Heavenly Realm martial cultivators would all take part, aiming to deliver a devastating blow to the aliens.

He didn’t forget about Liu Kui’s front either, sending an additional ten million martial cultivators as reinforcements to speed up progress there.

With these fresh troops, Liu Kui could push forward a little faster, preventing them from being stretched thin on two fronts.

Soon after, as the alien Swallows surged out of the secret realm once more, the second great battle erupted.

However, the Gold-Devourer the aliens had hoped for never appeared. Their Swallows were immediately intercepted and destroyed by the falcons.

Yet more Swallows kept pouring out of the secret realm, spreading outward. Ye Liuyun countered by deploying falcons in waves of ten thousand, relentlessly pressing the attack and rotating fresh units when the first grew weary.

Alien soldiers began charging out as well, only to be blasted apart by the surrounding chariots and energy cannons.

But the sheer numbers of the alien forces gradually forced the chariots and cannons to retreat step by step.

Once the aliens realized the Gold-Devourer wasn’t making an appearance, they grew bolder, sending out troops and equipment in relentless waves. They even deployed their colossal dreadnoughts to shield their soldiers from the falcon attacks.

Yet Ye Liuyun had also amassed a massive number of falcons—when ten thousand weren’t enough, he sent another ten thousand, circling and bombarding the dreadnought from all sides.

The dreadnought’s energy reserves drained rapidly, and fearing its destruction, the aliens eventually withdrew it.

Although the colossal titan had retreated, millions of alien soldiers surged forward, using massive battleships as mobile shields to advance.

Meanwhile, the alien array masters began deploying their formations, gradually expanding their reach across the battlefield.

Ye Liuyun remained airborne, monitoring the situation closely. With his Great Desolation Bow, he picked off several array masters, but their losses barely made a dent in the enemy’s overall strategy.

Soon after, swarms of elite alien warriors charged into the fray.

"Attack!"

Only then did Ye Liuyun give the order. The prearranged force of 300,000 martial cultivators surged forward under the cover of war chariots and energy cannons.

Ye Liuyun swiftly positioned another 300,000 troops to replace them once their assault was spent, recalling the chariots and cannons to regroup with their respective divisions. He then mobilized nearly a million more martial cultivators, stationing them behind his main army to await further commands.

His doppelganger led the charge as well, targeting and eliminating high-ranking alien warriors.

Holding back from direct combat, Ye Liuyun released the Demon-Sealing Stele to assist his doppelganger while keeping watch for the appearance of the enemy’s most formidable fighter. If that powerhouse emerged, he would need to strike first with his radiant white light—failure to do so would result in catastrophic losses.

Moreover, maintaining control of the battlefield and orchestrating the battle plan required his full attention, leaving no room for reckless engagement.

The initial 300,000 martial cultivators exploited the chaos, carving deep into the alien ranks and slaughtering at least as many foes. But against the overwhelming tide of enemies, they were eventually wiped out to the last.

As the alien forces pushed their battle lines further outward, complete armies of newly emerged aliens began forming ranks and launching assaults.

Ye Liuyun swiftly commanded his three hundred thousand troops to meet them head-on. After shattering their formations, he sent martial cultivators charging forward to eliminate the scattered foes.

The battlefield roared with the clamor of war, the ground slick with rivers of blood.

Yet the alien advance showed no sign of halting. Their warships provided constant cover as they expanded their territory outward.

Finally, the alien powerhouse emerged near the entrance of the secret realm. But by then, he was already too far from Ye Liuyun for the latter to be certain whether his white light attack could still reach him.

The moment the alien leader appeared, his gaze locked onto Ye Liuyun in the distance and the colossal warship hovering in the starry sky.

Yet he made no move to attack. Instead, he ordered the formation masters to continue expanding their defensive arrays, channeling energy to establish a fortified base for the aliens. Then, he began teleporting the remaining alien forces out of the secret realm.

Strangely, he seemed indifferent even to the prized Skyhawk, merely overseeing the operation from his position.

Ye Liuyun studied him carefully—a silver-scaled alien, likely of high status. Judging by the quality of the true essence within his dantian, it far surpassed that of ordinary third-level Celestial-tier aliens.

Beside him stood a golden-armored alien, presumably the commander of their forces, directing the troops with authority.
