Chapter 2489: Chapter 2489
Ye Liuyun made his way to the deck where the warships and Swiftwings were docked. The hatches of all the vessels stood wide open, allowing easy access for boarding and activation.
He strolled casually into one of the warships, scanning the interior. To his surprise, the energy cores and crystals were fully stocked, yet there wasn’t a single guard in sight. Seizing the opportunity, he helped himself, systematically looting each ship and amassing a considerable stash of resources.
Meanwhile, the alien soldiers who had just fled inside were being reorganized on the largest deck, redistributing weapons and armor.
After thoroughly exploring the alien warship, Ye Liuyun found a strategic vantage point—one that allowed him to observe the battlefield outside while keeping an eye on the powerful figures and commanders in the cockpit. Then, he settled in, waiting for the perfect moment to strike.
Days later, the aliens finally made their move. They prepared to dispatch several warships to scout the battlefield formations, only to discover that all the energy reserves had mysteriously vanished.
The alien responsible for replenishing the ships’ energy was promptly executed, despite his desperate protests that he had already refueled them. No one believed him.
After a hasty recharging, the warships launched, skimming low under the cover of Swiftwings. Their mission was twofold: fend off the aerial assaults from the Sacred Dynasty’s Swiftwings while triggering the ground formations to clear a path for their troops.
Soon after, squadrons of alien soldiers disembarked, some immediately setting to work constructing fortifications. With Swiftwings patrolling the perimeter, they began building their own stronghold.
Naturally, the Sacred Dynasty had no intention of letting them proceed unopposed. They launched an immediate counterattack.
The alien elites joined the fray, intercepting the assault, and another brutal battle erupted. This clash proved far bloodier than the last. The aliens still held the numerical advantage in troops, and their Swiftwings outnumbered the Dynasty’s. However, the Sacred Dynasty was slightly outmatched in terms of elite martial warriors.
Seeing that most of the powerful martial experts had left the ship, Ye Liuyun released the five Black Killers, instructing them to follow him under the cover of invisibility. Meanwhile, he and his doppelgänger donned their own cloaks of concealment and moved to seize control of the cockpit.
Inside, Vice Commander Ledo, clad in silver armor, stood with two other silver-clad aliens, intently observing the battle. Without hesitation, Ye Liuyun summoned the Demon-Sealing Stele and the Demon Vine to join the fight.
Four of the Black Killers engaged the enemies, while the fifth dealt with the alien crew operating the ship. Ye Liuyun also unleashed Phantom Hand, Xenocide, and the Vespera to assist them.
The Demon Vine and the Demon-Sealing Stele struggled against even a single alien elite—these foes were simply too powerful. It had been too long since either of them had grown stronger.
Fortunately, Ye Liuyun was there to help. He quickly planted a slave seal on Li Duo, eliminating the need for a prolonged battle—just a brief delay would suffice.
The other two silver-armored aliens were dealt with by four Black Kill elites. Two against one, one would distract while the other struck from behind. Each fell within a move or two.
The Demon Vine and the Sealing Demon Stele wasted no time, each claiming a corpse and immediately absorbing its energy. The remaining alien operators were swiftly eliminated, becoming nothing more than nourishment for the two.
Ye Liuyun then commanded Li Duo, "Seal all hatches! Then resume your original battle plan and continue directing the fight."
With no choice, Li Duo obeyed, securing every hatch before returning to his command duties.
Ye Liuyun summoned dozens of soldiers to take over the warship’s controls, instructing Li Duo to mentally transmit the vessel’s operation methods to them.
Next, he led the others in clearing the ship. "Follow me—we’re wiping out every last alien aboard. Be careful not to damage the ship!"
He also released the fifty-plus elites and the Blade Corps from his inner world, mobilizing everyone to purge the aliens as quickly as possible.
All the corpses were left for the Demon Vine and the Sealing Demon Stele—fuel to enhance their power.
Though the warship’s alien forces weren’t densely packed, they still numbered over twenty thousand, half of whom were wounded. Most weren’t combat-ready, and their fighting strength was negligible.
Ye Liuyun’s team advanced smoothly. The wounded were easy prey—the Demon Vine and the Sealing Demon Stele charged in and slaughtered them without resistance.
Through the slave seal, Ye Liuyun sensed that the golden-armored commander, Wan Teng, had already contacted Li Duo via a communication talisman, ordering him to take charge of the battle outside.
"Go," Ye Liuyun commanded coldly. "Transfer the warship’s ownership to me, along with your Interspatial Ring. Once outside, order your Flying Swarms to attack Wan Teng’s troops. Then turn on your own elites—fight until you die."
"Yes!" Controlled by the slave seal, Lido trembled with suppressed rage, his entire body shaking with unwillingness, yet he couldn’t refuse Ye Liuyun’s command.
After taking control of the battleship, Ye Liuyun ordered the soldiers to open the hatch and release Lido.
The moment Lido stepped out of the ship, he let out several furious roars.
The Swift Sparrow battleships under his command immediately turned around and began attacking Wan Teng’s soldiers.
Lido himself charged straight at the martial experts on his own side, killing two in an instant.
The two alien warriors, caught completely off guard, didn’t even dare to resist and were instantly struck down, their skulls shattered.
But when Lido turned his attacks on others, the remaining aliens fought back. Still, they mostly focused on joint defense rather than striking at Lido directly.
The Holy Land Dynasty quickly noticed the chaos and seized the opportunity to launch their assault. Taking advantage of the alien Swift Sparrows attacking their own forces, they broke through the blockade and advanced toward the aliens’ newly established base.
"Lido, what the hell are you doing?"
Wan Teng immediately berated Lido through a communication talisman. But when he received no response, he took a closer look—Lido wasn’t even wearing his Interspatial Ring.
Glancing at the nearby battleships, all with their hatches sealed, Wan Teng instantly realized Lido must have been compromised.
He stormed out of his own ship, bellowing several commands. The Swift Sparrows attacking their own forces finally halted and redirected their fire toward the Holy Land Dynasty’s soldiers.
The alien warriors, no longer holding back, turned their full fury on Lido. Under their combined assault, he was swiftly obliterated.
Meanwhile, Ye Liuyun had already secured control of the battleship. He immediately severed the link with Wan Teng’s vessel and ordered his soldiers to fire the energy cannons straight at Wan Teng.
Seeing the situation spiral out of control, Wan Teng wasted no time—he fled back to his own ship.
"The battleship will depart Satellite Island while continuing to assault those aliens," Ye Liuyun commanded his troops.
"Boom! Boom! Boom!"
The colossal warship under Ye Liuyun’s control unleashed its full firepower, bombarding the alien base with relentless fury.
From Wan Teng’s vessel, thousands of Swallow fighters swarmed out like angry hornets, targeting Ye Liuyun’s flagship. In a fit of rage, Wan Teng had deployed every last reserve fighter at his disposal.
Without hesitation, Ye Liuyun launched five thousand Falcon interceptors to form a protective screen around his battleship, ensuring its safe retreat.
Meanwhile, Liu Kui, the supreme commander of the Sacred Dynasty’s forces, had been puzzling over the strange developments among the alien ranks. First, their massive flagship began attacking its own kind. Then their Swallow fighters turned against their mothership. Now a single vessel was making its escape.
The moment he saw five thousand Falcons emerge from that departing warship, realization struck him like lightning.
