Chapter 2485: Chapter 2485

"Spread out."

Ye Liuyun directed the Falcon ships to disperse while keeping a thousand undamaged vessels engaged in the attack. The rest, he withdrew into his spatial realm.

With more room to maneuver, the Falcons dodged enemy fire with far greater agility.

Meanwhile, the colossal alien warships began accelerating toward the satellite island, clearly aiming to land before their energy reserves depleted. Ye Liuyun could see it plainly—the protective energy shield of the lead warship was weakening rapidly under the relentless assault from a thousand Falcons. At this rate, he estimated it wouldn’t last until reaching the island.

Days later, just as the lead warship was on the verge of collapse, the two massive vessels behind it suddenly merged with it, forming a triangular formation. Their energy shields combined into a single, reinforced barrier—evidently, the trailing ships were channeling their power to sustain the front vessel’s defenses.

Realizing the futility of continuing the attack—especially with the two rear warships still brimming with energy—Ye Liuyun recalled all his Falcons and retreated astride his nine-headed demonic dragon.

This time, he held back the Gold-Devouring Beast, saving it for a future opportunity to seize the three warships for himself.

He had already noted the presence of numerous powerful alien warriors aboard the vessels. Even with the nine-headed dragon, he stood no chance against them. Deploying the Gold-Devouring Beast now would only provoke those elites into attacking him directly.

Their current restraint, he guessed, was merely to conserve strength.

What they didn’t know, however, was that Ye Liuyun’s golden pupils could see right through them—every detail laid bare.

As for these alien powerhouses, he preferred to let the Sacred Dynasty weaken them first. Only then would he make his move.

After Ye Liuyun departed, he immediately relayed detailed information about the alien forces to Xiao Mu’an.

In return, Xiao Mu’an shared a crucial piece of intelligence with him.

"Thanks for the intel! Let me repay the favor with some news of my own. You Ming has entered a hidden realm within the White Bear Snow Mountains—a trap set by Xiao Qiwu, just waiting for you to take the bait!"

Upon hearing this, Ye Liuyun swiftly contacted Mo Sha for confirmation.

"You Ming has left headquarters, but Xiao Qiwu remains," Mo Sha replied.

He hadn’t paid much attention to You Ming’s departure, as Ye Liuyun had never instructed him to monitor her movements. He had no idea where she had gone.

Xiao Mu’an wasted no time in passing this information to the Sacred King and Commander Liu Kui, urging them to prepare countermeasures.

Whatever his ultimate motives might be, he had no desire to see the Sacred Land invaded by outsiders.

Ye Liuyun then tried reaching You Ming via a communication talisman, but as expected, there was no response.

"Mo Sha didn’t even know about this, yet Xiao Mu’an did. And not only that—he’s aware it’s Xiao Qiwu’s trap. Could Xiao Mu’an be part of Black Kill?

Was this message something Xiao Qiwu ordered him to pass along, or is he genuinely trying to repay me?

A prince, joining Black Kill to overthrow his own family..."

Ye Liuyun’s mind swirled with confusion, unable to decipher Xiao Mu’an’s true intentions.

There was no way to ask directly. By revealing this information, Xiao Mu’an was deliberately weaving a web of deception, forcing Ye Liuyun to speculate. He wouldn’t simply confess his motives.

Still, one thing was clear: Xiao Mu’an wanted him to rescue You Ming. And, of course, so did Xiao Qiwu.

"Why would Xiao Qiwu use Youming to threaten me? We’re not even close! Could this just be a test? If I don’t go to rescue Youming, Xiao Qiwu probably won’t harm her. But if I do go, she might actually be in danger."

Ye Liuyun rubbed his temples, feeling a headache coming on.

The alien invasion was imminent. His original plan had been to infiltrate Satellite Island first and strategize against the invaders, but now this complication had arisen.

Even if he went, he wouldn’t dare enter the secret realm. The Holy Dynasty had already tried to trap him there—Xiao Qiwu surely knew that too.

"Ugh!" Ye Liuyun let out a long sigh. "All I wanted was to ally with you against the aliens, and yet you’ve turned this into such a mess!"

He felt utterly exasperated.

But the problem still needed solving. After some thought, he realized the only way forward was to take the initiative. Playing along with the Black Killers and the Holy Dynasty’s schemes would leave him too vulnerable.

So he reached out to Xiao Qiwu directly, even sharing intel about the aliens’ offensive strength.

"You should be telling this to the Holy Dynasty, no?" Xiao Qiwu sounded puzzled.

"I already have," Ye Liuyun replied. "But I don’t think their forces stand a chance against the aliens. That’s why I’m asking to borrow some of your elite fighters—to take out key alien targets when the opportunity arises."

"If that’s the case, I could just send my own men. Why lend them to you?" Xiao Qiwu countered.

Ye Liuyun smirked confidently. "I have a way to get close to those alien elites—and guarantee their elimination."

"I’ll think about it," Xiao Qiwu said cautiously, unwilling to commit without understanding Ye Liuyun’s angle.

He was already aware of the aliens’ strength. The entire Holy Dynasty was scrambling to mass-produce Swallow crafts—their primary weapon against the invaders.

But even with their numbers, the Holy Dynasty was woefully unprepared. Last time, it was only the Swallows that had given them the upper hand.

If the Flying Swallows didn’t have numerical superiority, the Sacred Dynasty might truly struggle to hold back the alien invaders.

Especially when it came to the enemy’s elite warriors—while the Sacred Dynasty would naturally deploy their own experts to counter them, the two sides were almost evenly matched. If he could send additional reinforcements, the odds would tip more favorably.

However, infiltrating the enemy’s main forces was no easy task. Many powerful fighters would be worn down by the alien soldiers or the undead abominations before they could even reach their targets.

Ye Liuyun claimed he had a solution, and Xiao Qiwu believed him. What worried him was whether Ye Liuyun would actually return what he borrowed.

Given the current state of the war, Ye Liuyun’s participation could be the decisive factor—potentially turning the tide. If Xiao Qiwu made a move against him prematurely and failed to capture him, it might backfire spectacularly.

Worse yet, it could push Ye Liuyun into actively opposing them, which would spell disaster.

"First, tell me—how many men do you need?" Xiao Qiwu asked.

"Five experts at the third level of the Celestial Realm," Ye Liuyun replied without hesitation. "And You Ming."

"You Ming?" Xiao Qiwu chuckled. "She counts as a fighter now?"

"Of course not," Ye Liuyun said. "But we’ve worked together for a long time. I need her as my assistant." He paused, then added impatiently, "Make your decision quickly. I need to plan ahead based on your answer—time’s running out!"

With that, Ye Liuyun cut off the communication talisman, leaving Xiao Qiwu to his thoughts.

Ye Liuyun was confident that, despite their hunger for power, none of them would be foolish enough to ignore the alien threat.

If the invaders broke through, all of Xiao Qiwu’s years of scheming would be for nothing.

In fact, if the aliens breached the Sacred Lands, the dynasty might rally together even stronger, its position more unshakable than ever.
