Chapter 2446: Chapter 2446

"You... you’re going too far! I merely injured one and killed another—isn’t that compensation enough?"

Wang De had already realized Ling Hai was trying to extort him.

Prince Anxi frowned slightly, then said to Wang De in a measured tone, "I’ll vouch for you and spare your life. Don’t cling to those resources—they’re just worldly possessions. Isn’t that better than being hunted down endlessly?"

Even he suspected Wang De had offered too little.

Liu Tianyi and Ling Hai were no strangers to valuable treasures. If they had made demands, ordinary resources wouldn’t suffice. So the prince also thought Wang De was being foolishly stingy, especially in his presence.

Sensing Prince Anxi’s displeasure, Wang De had no choice but to produce better offerings.

This time, however, he wised up—he began presenting high-tier resources one by one, displaying them openly for the prince to see.

Before he could finish, a faint tremor rumbled through the ground.

"Hmm? Go see what’s happening."

Prince Anxi immediately ordered a subordinate to investigate the source of the disturbance.

The man hadn’t gone far when he spotted a horde of magical beasts surging toward them—a full-scale stampede.

Atop one of the demonic wolves sat a young man.

He rushed back to report, but by then, Ye Liuyun’s divine soul and golden pupils had already locked onto Wang De.

"Now you won’t escape!"

Ye Liuyun swiftly commanded the beasts to split into two smaller groups, cutting off any possible retreat.

The subordinate of Prince Anxi returned to report the situation.

"Demon beast horde? There aren’t any demon beasts in this area!" Prince Anxi frowned in confusion.

But Wang De cut in, asking, "What did that young man look like?"

The demon beasts were charging at terrifying speed. By the time Wang De finished his question, Ye Liuyun had already led the horde into the range of Prince Anxi’s spiritual perception.

The subordinate described Ye Liuyun’s appearance, and Wang De paled instantly. "It’s him! That’s him!"

Hearing this, Prince Anxi turned to Ling Hai and Liu Tianyi. "Is he your friend?"

"Indeed!" Ling Hai confirmed.

"Who is he, to befriend the likes of you?" Prince Anxi studied Ye Liuyun but didn’t recognize him, his curiosity piqued.

"He may not belong to any major faction, but he has the ability to control beasts!" Ling Hai seized the moment to spin a quick lie.

"Now that’s a useful skill!" Prince Anxi remarked approvingly.

Still, he assumed that since Ling Hai knew the young man and he had no significant backing, he would at least show some respect—there was no need for conflict.

Soon, Ye Liuyun’s demon beast horde closed in.

Under his command, the beasts gradually slowed their charge, but they swiftly encircled the group, trapping them in the center.

"How dare you! This is Prince Anxi—show some respect!" one of the prince’s guards barked at Ye Liuyun.

Ignoring the guard entirely, Ye Liuyun rode forward on his demon wolf, his cold gaze fixed on Wang De. "Wang De," he said, voice dripping with menace, "come out and face your death."

"Hmph! You dare defy Prince Anxi’s orders?" Wang De, emboldened by his newfound backing, puffed up with confidence. "Why don’t we just follow His Highness’s suggestion and settle this with some compensation?"

Ye Liuyun responded with a chilling laugh. "I want your life, and no one can stop me!"

"What arrogant nonsense..." one of Prince Anxi’s guards muttered under his breath.

But before he could finish, the demonic lion at Ye Liuyun’s side lunged forward, its massive claws slashing through the air.

"Stop this at once!"

"How dare you!"

The other guards surrounding Prince Anxi sprang into action, shouting threats at Ye Liuyun. Yet the demonic lion ignored their attacks entirely, its thick hide shrugging off their blows as if they were nothing. With a single, brutal swipe of its paw, it reduced the offending guard to a bloody pulp.

Ye Liuyun roared, his voice cutting through the chaos like a blade: "Stand in my way, and you die!"

"My friend," Prince Anxi interjected, his tone strained with forced calm, "would you do me the honor of sparing this man’s life...?"

Though furious at the death of his guard, the prince remained wary—surrounded as he was by Ye Liuyun’s monstrous beasts, a direct confrontation was the last thing he wanted.

But Ye Liuyun didn’t even glance his way. His gaze remained locked on Wang De, cold and unyielding.

"I said it before," he replied dismissively. "Anyone who stands in my way dies. Even if Xiao Qitian Dynasty Dynasty Dynasty himself were here, he couldn’t stop me from killing this man."

"How *dare* you!" Prince Anxi’s face twisted in outrage. "To speak the Sacred King’s name with such insolence—you go too far!"

As ten formidable martial experts from the spatial realm were released to confront Ye Liuyun, he let out a cold chuckle before turning to Ling Hai, Liu Tianyi, and the others with a chilling command: "If Wang De isn’t dead by today, you’ll all be joining him in the grave!"

"Your Highness, you see? I told you—they’re all under control..." Wang De was still gloating to the Prince of Anxi about his accurate prediction.

But before he could finish, Ye Liuyun unleashed the ten metal puppets and thirty newly equipped Falcon warships.

"Kill them all! Leave none alive!" At his order, the demonic beasts and puppets surged into action.

The Falcons had been deployed precisely to cut off any chance of escape.

"What in the world are those?" The Prince of Anxi gasped in shock at the sight of the warships.

In just one volley, the Falcons obliterated half the martial experts by the prince’s side. The remaining warriors barely dodged the assault, only to be immediately set upon by demonic beasts and metal puppets—even the Prince of Anxi himself wasn’t spared.

Meanwhile, Ling Hai, Liu Tianyi, and their comrades charged straight for Wang De. They knew all too well that letting him escape again would mean certain death for them.

The battle erupted, with Ye Liuyun’s forces holding overwhelming dominance.

Desperate, the Prince of Anxi tried to negotiate: "Forget Wang De—do as you please with him! But I am the Prince of Anxi—"

"I don’t care who you are!" Ye Liuyun snarled. "I told you—even if you were Xiao Qitian Dynasty Dynasty Dynasty himself, you’d die today! Kill them!"

Ye Liuyun didn’t spare them the slightest courtesy.

Seeing that neither persuasion nor force worked against him, the Prince of Anxi resorted to his last desperate measure—launching a spiritual assault directly at Ye Liuyun’s consciousness. At this point, seizing the leader was the only way left.

His two guards followed suit, unleashing their own spiritual attacks toward Ye Liuyun’s mind. But moments later, their bodies were torn apart by demonic beasts and metal puppets, their souls extinguished without a trace.

Meanwhile, Wang De met a gruesome end—hacked to pieces by Ling Hai, Liu Tianyi, and the others amidst his desperate pleas for mercy.

Ye Liuyun showed no quarter to any of the martial artists under the Prince of Anxi. Two of them tried to flee, attempting to shatter the protective barrier around the Skyhawk. Instead of breaking through, they were blasted into crimson mist midair by the mechanical raptor’s devastating strike.

Once all of them had been slaughtered, Ye Liuyun coldly commanded the demonic lion to tear Liu Tianyi apart and devour him.

"This is the price of betrayal!" he warned the others before finally recalling the Skyhawk and his beasts.

Ling Hai and the rest dared not entertain even a flicker of defiance. They immediately set about clearing the battlefield, gathering the storage rings from the fallen, and presenting them to Ye Liuyun without delay.
