Chapter 2420: Chapter 2420

The Fifth Prince had complete trust in Liao Yunyang and never imagined anyone could control him, which was why Ye Liuyun managed to capture Wei Yan. Otherwise, the Fifth Prince would have immediately summoned Wei Yan back.

Ye Liuyun ordered the two commanders to stay behind and eliminate any forces sent to apprehend them.

As for how long they could hold out, Ye Liuyun couldn’t be bothered to care.

He had no intention of taking all these soldiers with him. While more troops might be advantageous, they also meant greater resource consumption. Though he had recently gathered plenty of supplies, he needed to think ahead and conserve for the future.

Liao Yunyang and the ten martial artists he had just captured—all at the second level of the Heavenly Realm—were all stored away in his spatial world. With them as his safeguard, he wouldn’t have to worry about future dangers.

Ye Liuyun, along with Youming and the others, boarded a flying vessel. Instead of taking the direct route back to the Holy Land, they deliberately detoured in another direction to avoid running into any powerful figures from the Holy Land Dynasty.

Liao Yunyang, Wei Yan, and the ten martial experts had already discarded their communication talismans. The Holy Land Dynasty would surely notice something amiss and send reinforcements.

As for how long it would take for them to eliminate the two commanders, Ye Liuyun didn’t dwell on it. His only concern was ensuring that none of his Black Kill members were captured.

However, shortly after their vessel departed, Ye Liuyun received a message from Pei Yong.

*"The scouts we sent out earlier—the Swift Sparrows—have spotted a massive alien fleet. Aside from over a dozen battleships, each capable of carrying a hundred thousand troops, there’s also a colossal flagship!"*

*"They couldn’t estimate its exact capacity, but judging by its size, it’s easily ten times larger than one of those hundred-thousand-class warships. There are even more smaller vessels—over two hundred in total."*

*"Right now, the alien fleet is moving slowly, but their course is set directly for our former outpost islands—the Sentinel and Watchtower Isles."*

Upon hearing this, Ye Liuyun knew the great battle with the aliens was imminent.

*"Once they realize the Sentinel and Watchtower Isles are gone, they’ll head straight for the Holy Land,"* he surmised.

*"At their current speed, how long until they reach us?"* Ye Liuyun asked Pei Yong.

"It’ll take about a year to reach the Holy Land from here!"

"Recall the Swiftwing scouts immediately. Tell them to steer clear of the Holy Land’s army on their way back." Ye Liuyun instructed Pei Yong to make the arrangements.

Meanwhile, he contacted the other battalions, ordering them to turn back and rendezvous near the Holy Land. Once they were close, they would signal for Ye Liuyun to retrieve them.

Without delay, Ye Liuyun returned to his spatial realm to brief Tong Xin, Qiong Qi, and the leaders of the Ten Thousand Gods Alliance.

After relaying the orders, Qiong Qi couldn’t resist boasting to Ye Liuyun, "Guess what I found?"

"Treasure vaults?" Ye Liuyun asked immediately.

"Heh, you got it—and not just one, but three!" Qiong Qi flashed three fingers triumphantly in front of Ye Liuyun’s face.

"Really?" Ye Liuyun wasted no time probing Wei Yan’s memories, extracting detailed information.

As it turned out, Wei Yan, being a formations master, had participated in setting up the arrays for three treasure vaults and two trap locations. Though he wasn’t fully aware of the other dangers lurking in those places, he knew the exact positions of the vaults and the intricacies of their defensive formations.

Ye Liuyun’s face lit up. "Perfect! I also discovered one—the Fifth Prince’s stash. It might not rival the Holy Land’s treasury, but there should still be plenty of valuables."

If they could secure all these resources, he’d never have to worry about supplies again.

"Shall we head there now?" Qiong Qi was practically vibrating with impatience.

"Not yet—I need to deliver Wei Yan first," Ye Liuyun replied, prioritizing the completion of his mission.

"What if the Holy Land catches wind of it and moves the treasures? Then all our effort goes to waste! Why rush the handover? Someone else can handle that," Qiong Qi argued, frantic at the thought of losing their hard-won loot.

Ye Liuyun pondered for a moment and found the possibility plausible.

"Alright then!"

He agreed without hesitation. With a swift motion of his blade, he severed Wei Yan’s head and carried it out to present to Youming and the others.

"What now? Are you leaving ahead of us again?" Youming asked bluntly as soon as she saw the severed head.

"Exactly. I have urgent matters to attend to," Ye Liuyun replied. "Actually, there’s an important piece of news I need you to spread—if you can, that would be ideal."

He was eager to steer the conversation away from the treasure she might bring up again. Moreover, he hoped the Holy Land would prepare in advance for the impending alien invasion. The last thing he wanted was for the aliens to overrun the Holy Land or penetrate its heartland.

"What news?" Youming asked, studying his grave expression with a mix of skepticism and curiosity.

"An alien army of over a million is marching this way," Ye Liuyun stated.

"Aliens? You know about them?" Youming was clearly unaware of his true identity.

Yet she couldn’t help but question his claim. "How do you know this?"

This was no trivial matter—knowledge of the aliens was typically confined to royal circles. She had to be cautious.

"Don’t worry about how I know. If you trust me, spread the word. If not, forget it."

Ye Liuyun went on to provide details about the alien fleet’s size and approximate distance. His thorough account left Youming little room for doubt. Still, upon learning they had about a year before the invasion, her tension eased somewhat.

"What are you two talking about?" Mad Shark and the others were completely lost in the conversation.

"Then what are you going to do?" Youming asked Ye Liuyun.

"I need to make some arrangements. I might not return to Black Kill for a while. You all go back first to hand over the mission. Be careful—don’t get spotted by the Holy Land Dynasty’s army."

Of course, Ye Liuyun couldn’t tell Youming he was going treasure hunting. Bringing them along would expose his true identity and strength.

The starry void was no stranger to him. He summoned a skyship and, once he was a safe distance from Youming and the others, activated the Black Tower’s teleportation to return directly to the Holy Land Dynasty.

Mad Shark and the others couldn’t help but marvel at how effortlessly Ye Liuyun navigated the cosmos.

Though Youming suspected he was off chasing treasure, the matter of the alien invasion weighed on her mind. She had no choice but to contact her family first and report the situation.

Ye Liuyun’s guess was spot-on—Youming’s elders were the masterminds behind Black Kill. However, her involvement in the organization was purely for self-cultivation, not to gather intelligence for her family.

But an alien invasion was too significant to ignore. Now that she knew, she had to inform her family so they could prepare in advance.

The elders of Black Kill quickly deduced that Ye Liuyun must have figured out Youming’s identity—otherwise, he wouldn’t have shared such critical information with her.

Yet they couldn’t fathom why he had left alone. They assumed he was off devising ways to expand their forces.

Mad Shark and the others waited for what felt like ages before Youming finally emerged from the cabin, having finished her report.

Seeing the questioning looks on their faces, she took a moment to explain the situation with the alien threat.
