Chapter 2348: Chapter 2348 Strike Them At Once

"So what do we do?" Granth asked Celestia.

"We’ll wait for him to come out here! Once he’s fought it out with Griffin and his group, we’ll kill them one by one as they come out!" Celestia decided not to go further in with Granth but instead chose to lie in wait at the valley entrance, planning to ambush them.

"It would be best if the Mystic Fox could take out a few of them, and then that guy and Griffin both end up wounded. In the end, it’ll all be ours!" Granth continued to fantasize.

"Stop talking and make good use of the traps set by the Mystic Fox to hide yourself!" Celestia, tired of his rambling, found one of the Mystic Fox’s traps and concealed herself nearby.

Seeing that Celestia had hidden herself, Granth scratched his head and asked, "But if it’s that guy who comes out, won’t he just see through our hiding spots anyway?"

"What if it’s not him who comes out? He’s only at the mid-stage of the ninth tier, so he can’t possibly be a match for so many of Griffin’s people. Taking down two or three would be impressive enough!"

"Even if he somehow comes out and sees through both of us, it would still be easy for the two of us to take him down," Celestia analyzed and said.

"Oh!" Granth finally responded, burying himself in a patch of grass and retracting his Divine Sense and aura.

Ye Liuyun’s speed was fast, and his Divine Soul was powerful. Half a day later, he had already discovered the trail of Griffin and the others.

He put on his Concealcape and slowly approached them, not in a hurry to make a move.

At this moment, it seemed that Griffin and his group had also discovered the cave where the Mystic Fox was hiding, and they had surrounded it.

"Mystic Fox, stop resisting and come out!" Griffin shouted toward the cave.

"Griffin, we’ve always stayed out of each other’s way. How about we each take a step back? I’ll give you some resources, and you all back off. How does that sound?"

"I’ve set up this cave. If you don’t lose a few people, you won’t be able to break through! So why go that far?" Came the voice of the Mystic Fox from within the cave.

Griffin and the others glanced at each other, realizing that if the Mystic Fox refused to come out, it would indeed be difficult to deal with the situation.

"Very well. As long as you can offer enough resources, we’ll back off!" Griffin said, pretending to agree while glancing at the others.

"Haha, Griffin, do you take me for a child to fool so easily? If I come out now, I’m basically handing over my life! How about this? You take your leave now and come to my place tomorrow to collect the resources. I promise you’ll get every bit you’re owed, according to the agreed points!" The Mystic Fox replied from inside the cave.

"Heh! You’re the one treating us like fools. You think we’ll still be able to find you tomorrow? Right now, we have you surrounded and you have no choice! Hand over the resources now!" Griffin and his group, of course, had no intention of agreeing.

"Then how about we first sign a Divine Soul contract?" The Mystic Fox asked from within the cave.

"What, are you questioning my credibility?" Griffin shot back with his tone laced with challenge.

The argument dragged on, but both sides knew the truth—Beard’s gang had gone to great lengths to corner Foxhunter, and they weren’t about to let this opportunity slip.

"Then, you’re prepared to die?" Griffin threatened.

"Since you have no sincerity, then there’s no need to continue the conversation! Dare to enter the cave, and you’re dead! If you don’t believe it, you can try!" The Mystic Fox threatened without the slightest fear.

Both sides argued for a while, but deep down, they all knew that Griffin and his group had gone to so much trouble to block Mystic Fox. They wouldn’t let this opportunity slip by.

Griffin glanced at the others, not wanting to delay any longer, he signaled to one of the assassins. The assassin then used a defensive artifact to raise a shield, protecting himself within it, and walked toward the cave.

Then, the others also took out their defensive artifacts and, one by one, walked into the cave.

Ye Liuyun stood outside the cave, using his Golden Phantom Eyes to carefully examine the surroundings, but he did not enter the cave.

He simply released the Devil Vine, letting it quietly move underground. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝙬𝙚𝓫𝒏𝓸𝓿𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝙤𝓶

Then, the Devil Vine suddenly launched an attack, entangling an assassin hidden underground and pulling him out of the ground.

Ye Liuyun immediately placed a Slaving Seal on him to prevent any resistance.

This assassin was Mystic Fox.

He had just used a metal pipe connected to the cave to shout inside, making his voice come out of the cave, causing Griffin and the others to believe he was inside the cave.

He was planning to counter-kill Griffin and his men but did not expect Ye Liuyun to look through his plan using Golden Phantom Eyes.

After Ye Liuyun controlled the Mystic Fox, he instrcuted Mystic Fox to transmit the datas about trap setting from his ocean of consciousness to Tong Xin. This was to provide inspiration for Ton Xin so that she can help with battleships development later.

Ye Liuyun told the Devil Vine to stay put and guard the entrance. It was to capture anyone who came out from the cave.

The Debvil Vine grew an enormous vine and opened its mouth wide to block the cave entrance, waiting for those who left the cave to enter its mouth directly.

After waiting for a while outside the cave, Ye Liuyun heard some screams coming out from the cave,. It was likley someone caught up in the traps set up by the Mystic Fox.

Loud thuds was spreading out from the cave as well and it was probably Griffin and his men shooting at the traps.

In return to reach the bottom of the cave, Griffin had lost one man and with another one gravely injured. They realised they were tricked when they reliased the Mystic Fox was nowhere to befound.

He ordered them to stay put and tend to their injuries while he retracted the demonic vines and strode out of the valley.

After the Devil Vine opened back up the cave entrance, Ye Liuyun launched an attack with his Scarlet Phantom Eyes, making them to fight off each others.

He managed to kill one person and wound the other. After then, he attacked at Griffin’s direction.

"What happended?" Griffin was able to evade and even managed to launch a couter-attack.

Seizing the moment, Ye Liuyun revealed himself and joined the attack against Griffin.

Another injured martial practitioner tried to flee but was swiftly captured by the Devil Vine.

Just like that, Ye Liuyun had rounded them all up. Griffin and the other three martial practitioner had imprisoned by Ye Liuyun.

He needed their cooperation to capture more members of Stygian and complete his mission of eliminating Cao Qingyun.

Ye Liuyun even gathered a lot of information about Cao Qingyun from Griffin.

"Cao Qingyun is a lost lasting local strong faction. He is loaded and handled things in a very overbearing way. Thus, he has pissed a lot of people off.

But taking him down is not an easy feat. He’s got plenty of strong martial artists guarding him, not to mention decent ties with the City Lord Manor and the garrison. That’s why no one around here dares to take a job against him." Griffin told Ye Liuyun.

"There’s always a way!"

He ordered them to stay put and tend to their injuries while he retracted the devil vine and strode out of the valley.

Celestia and Granth had been missing for quite some time. Ye Liuyun suspected they were lying in ambush at the valley’s entrance, waiting to strike any escaping assassins.

Their concealment was indeed masterful. When Ye Liuyun’s Golden Phantom Eyes picked up their hiding spots, they had already caught sight of him.

Granth’s eyes widened in disbelief. The first one to emerge from the valley was actually Ye Liuyun.
